  1. EMDR...

Freeform, Could you explain how you see the PEAT method as homeopathic? The issue of false polarities that you bring up is an excellent one - the false polarity phenomenon is something I see in so many different contexts wherever false beliefs are rampant.. not to mention politics . If one side of the false polarity is operating, you're really being controlled by the false polarity, no matter which side of the coin is being expressed more overtly. So that perfectionism and procrastination are both trances, in the false ego's world where things are black or white, and both lead to suffering, sort of a "pick your poison" world. I don't see any limitation on how EFT can be applied, though. You can do any kind of process and tap while you're doing it and enhance the results. The way EFT is taught by Gary Craig can be rather limited in scope, but the whole thing can be opened up as far as someone wants to take it. For example you could use EFT on the higher level of judging thoughts that drive the whole procrastination/perfectionism polarity. Often when you work on collapsing one side of it, the other rears its head, and you certainly can be working on those isolated aspects back and forth. But as you follow the natural process, your awareness can shift out of that trance to a more authentic experience which that trance was obscuring. Various hypnotherapy-like approaches can facilitate that. So you can pick almost any place to enter into this process, even if the starting point isn't the highest (or deepest) view. These methods are sort of like software, but even software needs to be driven by the user's "thoughtware." A system is only as good as the organizing structure that gives meaning to it. Karen
  2. EMDR...

Freeform, I agree that EFT may not reach to the deepest level of blockage, as its generally practiced. Heilkunst calls false beliefs the "highest" disease, and ultimately this is what we're dealing with. But the way to remove that is a matter of phenomenon, not particular form. All of these different systems (and I would add transpersonal hypnotherapy, the Core Transformation process, and Holodynamics to the list!) are all different forms that work with the same phenomenon. I think it's just a matter of using a particular form that resonates with you at a particular time, understanding that you can potentially use any of these forms to engage the phenomenon of dismantling the false ego structure. (BTW, the first set of EFT videos shows Gary Craig working with some Vietnam vets at a VA hospital in CA, who had some pretty intense PTSD-type issues, quite dramatic work.) -Karen
  3. Great, email me your address. It's actually CD-ROMs, can play on computer or newer DVD players. I'm watching it again now.
  4. I'll burn a copy of the Steve Wells DVD's (2 disks) on EFT and Peak Performance, part of Gary Craig's Specialty Series 2. (Gary Craig allows making up to 100 copies - for now, one is doable . This was IMO by far the best of that whole set. Lots of good NLP stuff, good stories, engaging speaker. Anyone interested, let me know.
  5. EMDR...

I've seen all the video sets.. some are, um, tedious , but there are good moments. I thought the Specialty Series 2 and Borrowing Benefits were best. Specialty series 2 is various workshops with different presenters - some much better than others.. Best IMO was Steve Wells from Australia (ok, nice looking guy with accent and entertaining stories , demonstrating his "provocative" method. Topic was peak performance, which really applies more broadly to anything. Borrowing Benefits is Gary Craig working with individuals, usually tapping for them, demonstrating a more conversational style of working with EFT. There are instructions prompting you to tap along with the video, hence "borrowing benefits", without having to learn anything beforehand. -Karen

It's the kind of thing that looks more complicated in writing than it really is. You can learn the basic protocol in a couple of minutes, by locating the basic 8 acupoints. Beyond that, I do email consulting for a fee The basic tapping protocol can be just the initial "karate chop" point plus the first 8 points listed there - forget the others. Forget the "9 gamut" thingie. Even Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, found that all that was unnecessary, and he streamlined it more and more over the years. Exactly what phrases to say, now that's where you need to get creative. Start with a simple description of a particular problem, for example, "feeling anxious about this exam." The positive affirmation part of it is really not the driving force behind this - it's actually the seemingly "negative' statement, because it's homeopathic, "like cures like." You have a certain energetic blockage, represented by the problem. You give voice to it in a way that removes it, by similar resonance. Hypnotherapy would say that you're inducing a trance to wake up from the existing trance. Either way of looking at it, amounts to the same thing . Where it gets more involved is in the layers of false belief that can be related to a particular problem. You often need to approach it from different angles, and there are many ways to work with it more skillfully, as you become more aware of the larger context and the more hidden beliefs that are supporting the more overt ones. (This is often referred to as the legs of the table, the table being the problem as it appears, and the legs being the underlying beliefs that support it and keep it in place.) I don't remember if the article talked about rating your discomfort level, but that's a good technique to use with this - give your problem or discomfort a 0-10 rating according to intensity. Then after a round of EFT, bring up the original situation in your mind and give it rating again. Repeat as often as needed in order to bring the number down to whatever level you need. You can also do a more stream of consciousness technique, where you tune in to the problem and rattle off thoughts as they come to you.. you'll find that your thoughts become progressively more resourceful, or you'll notice a shift in a different direction, like from depression to anger, that sort of thing. Noticing the subtle shifts is the name of the game. Intro article: Acu without puncture Best manual for learning more advanced applications of EFT: EFT manual by Betty-Moore Hafter (Highly recommeded over the original EFT manual by Gary Craig). Play with it and see what interesting stuff can happen . -Karen
  7. EMDR...

You could cut through the shit by looking at EFT instead. EMDR requires a skilled therapist and it's done in their office; EFT is much more accessible, can be done anywhere, 24/7, right in the middle of the situation. It's a somewhat different form but very similar phenomenon. And it can be done much more simply than the original manual suggests. Applying it takes developing some skill, but almost everyone I teach it to starts to get some good results right from the beginning. One woman had panic attacks going over bridges, and with EFT they were totally gone. That's a typical example. -Karen
  8. cysts on breasts

There are several ways to look at what the problem of cysts represents. From the biochemical point of view, it usually involves an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone. Most women are estrogen dominant, so that even when estrogen becomes lower closer to menopause, the balance can still be off, especially as the body is going through a lot of complex readjustments. Some things that can help are small amounts of progesterone cream, and various herbal formulas like the Chinese patent formula Women's Treasure and many similar formulas that nourish the yin and promote hormonal balance. Fats and oils are good for this, especially omega-3's (cod liver oil), evening primrose oil, also Magnesium can be helpful. But to go deeper to the meaning of the problem, it may be the basic menopausal challenge of transforming the life force from its focus on procreative expression to its spiritual expression. The energy that went into child bearing and raising a family has to now be channeled in a different direction, into a sort of rebirth of spirit. Even for women who don't have children, they express that energy in other creative forms, but the phenomenon is the same, and they face the same challenge approaching menopause. The transformation that takes place around menopause assures that the woman matures instead of just aging. It's about finding this new level of balance higher up, but without losing grounding in the earthy forces. When the energy is being redirected in this way, the woman finds new ways to be involved with all sorts of creative endeavors and also in a higher level of inner spiritual development. When there's some blockage of that process, you see physiological processes that represent crystallization in various forms - cysts, fibroids, etc. So in addition to the biochemical fixes, there's this deeper level of meaning to address. And then the biochemistry will fall into place naturally with just some basic support, but not a lot of force will need to be applied on that level to move the biochemistry to a new level of balance. So in practical terms, women entering menopausal years need to find what their own spiritual development requires and how to refocus their energy and activities in that direction. Find ways to open the channels and release any body armoring (this happens down to the cellular level, not just in the muscles). Look at where the creative energy wants to flow and where it's being blocked, find ways to nurture the new self that's opening up. Younger women can keep it in mind for a bit later , but releasing the armoring and dealing with the fear that comes up around that is an ongoing challenge. -Karen
  9. Blender Concoctions

Look for sources at Eatwild.com I wouldn't be concerned about the eggs you have, but try to get the real grass-fed ones for the greatest benefit.
  10. Blender Concoctions

Cameron, Those Chino Valley Ranchers eggs are not the best. The hens are free to roam the floor of their houses, not exactly a proper environment for a hen which needs to peck for insects in real grass. They're fed "pure vegetarian" grains and other organic feed, really misleading because it makes it sound so pure and natural, but that's not a hen's biologically appropriate diet. Sort of like if we ate all organic, pristine grass.. I use those sorts of eggs for cooking, but I just don't trust them for eating raw. When in doubt, you can always call the manufacturer and find out exactly what the hens are eating. It may be harder to find eggs from purely grass-fed hens, but the good products are largely grass-fed, with supplements of other feed. Local farmers' markets are often a good source. -Karen
  11. Blender Concoctions

Re. "omega" eggs.. make sure they are really free range, grass-eating chickens. Not all omega eggs are free-range, and what's called free-range can mean that the hens are given a 3-inch square of concrete to be free in Chickens eat grass and insects, not grains no matter how organic the grains are or how much omega-3 they're supplemented with. I sometimes eat omega eggs because they're cheaper than the grass-fed, but when I'm eating them raw I stick to the best. -Karen
  12. An Inconvenient Truth

True, and we all do this in various ways, maybe not as dramatically as the fear-mongerers, but more privately in our own heads . I think we can extract kernels of truth wherever they are to be found. For example, someone can be telling a truth but spin it with fear. We can extract the kernel of truth and ignore the chaff. There's no need to internalize anyone else's paranoia in any case. If we don't practice that discernment, then we're simply applying another form of bias. But there's another point that I think might be worth articulating here, if I can.. that "fixating on the problems" is not a necessary outcome of being interested in learning how power in the external world is structured. A problem is a process that is a reality, a phenomenal reality that we can't deny. But fixation is a trance. For example, if I'm sick, there is something real that needs to be overcome. Whether I freak out about it, or whether I'm at peace with it, there is still a task to be accomplished. I can take the approptiate steps without being hypnotized by "the problem." When the garbage needs to be taken out, you just do it in the appropriate way, no fixation. So I see that it's that kind of direct participation, engagement in life on all levels that doesn't involve fixation or false beliefs, but is just a clear, direct response to a situation. I actually found that delving into research about power in the outer world helped me tremendously in understanding my own inner tyranny. I really needed to make that connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm to further my own inner development. That was just my own personal path, might not be everyone's. I feel moved to use orgone generators and chembusters to help repair the energy fields that are causing a lot of the environmental problems. I don't have to fixate on a problem in order to be involved or get the job done. -Karen
  13. How do you keep cool in summer? Ideas?

Cat, yes, I would feel more comfortable recommending Ayurvedic regimen for general consumption. Hot spices promote sweating which ultimately cools you down, but that's a more extreme approach than "pacifying" the doshas by using substances that have the opposite quality as the dosha. loved that visualization of coconut oil and walk in the forest.. mmm. I would just be careful not to put oil on the soles of your feet if you're using a virtual forest (hardwood floor Karen

Freeform, Best place to start is the "Clouds of Death" video. Go to Etheric Warriors and under the header is a link for "Download COD video." It runs about 20 minutes, talks about the problem of chemtrails but also talks about chembusters. Then I'd recommend this site for more research - Educate-Yourself Unfortunately the search function on the site doesn't work at the moment, and it's a pain to navigate, but there should be a Chemtrail link, a NWO link, etc. Educate-yourself is generally a good information source, not 100% reliable by any means, so "use your discernment." If you want to go further, Warrior Matrix forum. It gets wild and wooly in there. But then again, we're here in the Pit, so I have to assume you're up for braving the wilds. There are good people there if you want to post questions. Then there's Cliff Carnicom's site, good info on chemtrails but it's all to incite fear, so there's that caveat. And many more that don't talk about solutions, only doom and gloom, and I'd avoid those. Main point about contrails is that they can't possibly spread out over the sky in white streaks. Chemtrails have been analyzed as containing barium, aluminum, jet fuel, mycoplasma, red blood cells, polymer fibers. There are closeup photos of chemtrail spraying that couldn't possibly be confused with contrails. The good news is that the chemtrail program is failing, whiteout conditions are less frequent than they used to be, and blue skies are returning. Re. HAARP, it's a government program that most people think is only located in Alaska (to beam microwaves into the ionosphere), but those tall, thin red and white towers that are very numerous in every area are HAARP towers. See HAARP. Have fun with the research -Karen

  17. Guitar Hero!

Thanks for those links.. amazing videos. Nannou was done by a different director, though? Beautiful. And thanks for the tip on bugmenot! I didn't yet look at the "disturbing" one. Too early in the day! I think you have the best name for a new band.. Global Warming Shampoo
  18. Guitar Hero!

Same here. Genre doesn't matter much to me.. the best musicians seem to tap something universal and genre becomes secondary. The street drummer was awesome.. wonder what you call that instrument! One of the reasons I love Hedges is because he used alternate tunings (very weird ones), tapping and slapping, both hands playing the fretboard, all kinds of weird tricks only because they arose organically from the composition, never for the sake of technical virtuosity. People have tried to imitate him, and they don't get it because it's not about style at all. Glad you mentioned electronic music.. I was into it in the '80's, but that was a while ago so I'll look up the people you mentioned. I use a digital piano and synth but mainly just fooling around these days. Karen
  19. Guitar Hero!

Now I want to see someone playing an instrument skillfully in a coconut bra. Only a very small amount of Michael Hedges video is available commercially. But for starters, do a search on www.youtube.com and on www.video.google.com for Michael Hedges. You will be blown away. "Skillful" does not cover it. Sadly, Michael died in a car accident at age 42, in 1997. I am a HUGE Michael Hedges.."fan" does not cover it , and play a bunch of his songs on my humble Taylor 110. A challenge, but a truly exciting one. Oh, this will crack you up. In one concert, he wore his "Taoboy hat" . The song "Jitterboogie" on YouTube. Also you gotta see another guy playing slide guitar using a teaspoon.. search on YouTube for "teaspoon slide guitar." What kind of music do you usually like?

Hi Chris, One of the problems in debating the issue of global warming is that there are several methods of determining temperatures, and we have to look at the reliability of those methods, but this is never discussed in the press. We have to be willing to look clearly at the assumptions we're starting out with. One method of measurement is to average out temperatures around the world using devices the majority of which are located in cities and on land. Another method involves the use of satellites above both ocean and land. The first says the earth is warming, the second says no. I think we all know how easy it is to lie with statistics. Mark Twain said, "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics." But ultimately I don't think the key issue is whether global warming is real. It's a straw man argument, involving us in endless debate while the real power structures continue their divide and conquer tactics. But unless we see the larger picture, the other drama appears necessary to engage in. -Karen
  21. An Inconvenient Truth

Hi Chris, I understand the "huh?" reaction, as I've had more of those than I'd prefer. Gets annoying after a while, but always teaches me something even if I go kicking and screaming sometimes . So.. yeah, environmentalists are portrayed as wackos, same as conspiracy theorists, alternative medicine, eastern philosophers, you name it.. but consensus reality seems to coopt everything, and we find these things coming into the mainstream. I forgot who said.. "the best way to control the opposition is to become their leader." Control both sides, actually, and create a lot of confusion, as we're seeing. So if something like environmentalism is discredited with a broad brush stroke, using ad hominem attack, that provokes a lot of reaction. Either it fuels a belief that all environmentalism must be correct, or a reaction that it must be incorrect. Is all alternative medicine effective or is it all a scam? None of the above. We know it's more complex than that. But we can watch the subtle kinds of manipulation that we're subject to, and how we react. This is why I'm making a clear distinction that attending to healing the environment in a correct way is not the same thing as the globalists' environmental agenda. Big difference, but we get our information in such broad strokes that we're not being shown those important distinctions. As to how the environmentalist agenda is connected with one world government, here's an excerpt I had on file from an article titled The Ascendancy of the Scientific Dictatorship: An Examination of Epistemic Autocracy, From the 19th to the 21st Century, by Phillip Darrell Collins and Paul David Collins: "..Ehrlich's wife is a member of the Club of Rome, an organizational machination of the power elite. The Club specializes in manufacturing hypothetical scenarios concerning overpopulation and environmental degradation. The organization typically compiles these apocalyptic forecasts and publishes them for public consumption. It should be fairly obvious why. The following excerpt from the Club's 1991 report, The First Global Revolution, reveals the motive: In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.... But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap of mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself. (King and Schneider 115) In making humanity the ultimate enemy, the oligarchs have the perfect pretext for world government. After all, only a massive supranational entity with unlimited powers could compel the nemesis of humanity to retard its "environmentally unsound" industrial and technological development. Thus, a global socialist totalitarian government could be erected in the name of "ecological preservation." This is the cause that men like Tanton and Ehrlich are perpetuating." There's also quite a bit of information showing the fallacy of global warming from a purely meteorological view. Problems in the environment - sure. Global warming - no. Fear-mongering - obstruction to real healing, until we begin to master fear. The pattern of manipulation that can be seen in many different areas is "Problem-Reaction-Solution," as David Icke calls it. (I don't agree with David Icke on many counts, but I think that's a very useful model for looking at the dialectic in action). It's "the end justifies the means." You have people pointing to a threat, whether it's pollution or climate changes, not explaining the real underlying causes, but offering us a solution that involves tyranny. I think the great learning here is that we get to ponder what personal freedom means to us, and engage in maybe a deeper personal evaluation than we did before. I wouldn't say that social responsibility requires a loss of personal freedom.. but we'd have to really define what we mean by those things. I think those two things are again really functional polarities but the intellect narrows the field to an either/or opposition where one has to be sacrificed to the other. It's the same kind of limited thinking involved in beliefs that people have, for example, that we can either do what we love OR have money. It seems to the intellect that we have to choose one over the other. To me freedom doesn't mean that I should run the red lights if I want to. There's a difference between natural law which limits things, as natural forces do so elegantly, compared with oppressive artificial law which limits things. Both limit, but limitation can assist you or it can hinder you. But this takes a whole lot more discussion. I hope what I've said is useful in some way, even if it's to help you articulate your own view which is different. Karen
  22. An Inconvenient Truth

First, no disrespect taken.. I know my view is generally unpopular, as it's neither of the two that are usually in contention. But also I'm not personally attached to views, so we're just talking about issues here, and disagreement can further understanding. Neimad, I love what you said about being grateful for the festering swamp that nurtured our development! Things are pretty swamp-like these days, and it's good to keep one eye on the deeper forces working there, for our benefit, as we keep the other eye on our adversaries. I would just add that the idea of accepting the darkness is a common point of confusion. It doesn't mean we don't have to fight our adversaries because of the idea that darkness is really for our benefit. But when we oppose adversaries in any form (disease included), we're doing it from a real grounding in the truth, not reacting from fear and confusion.. so that we're simply acting from our true nature, expressing our love even through battle, and that process strengthens us. Let me flesh out a bit the idea I started here.. This is not just about whether there's an environmental problem or not - of course there is. But it's about disinformation and how we recognize it. Disinformation usually has a germ of truth in it, or even quite a bit of truth. Intelligent people wouldn't be manipulated by pure lies. So it's a bit more challenging to discern the truth when there are two sides presented, where one is obviously coming from ignorance or evil, and the other seems to speak some truth. Let's say A is inconscionabe (power and money takes priority over environment), while B is the antithesis (pro-environment). First we have to ask, are these really opposites, or is it a false dichotomy that is set up to distract us from a whole other realm of motives. This is a big issue that's beyond what I can post in one message, but in order to understand how power really works in the world, we would need to look at who the major players are, the power structure and how they operate. We'd begin to see the patterns and how this kind of dialectical drama is being played out on all fronts of the socio-political stage. The two sides of almost any political issue we see are really being played against each other by a different controlling entity. Like a puppet master pulling the strings, but all that's within our view is the two puppets duking it out, and we're entranced by that drama and think it to be real. The thing that trips us up is that the environment does need help, of course. But we're focusing on the wrong issue if we think it's a debate between pro-environment and anti-environment. If we see the larger context, suddenly the environmental agenda looks very different in that light. There are greater forces that are destroying the environment and life on the planet, namely HAARP towers which are everywhere, towers that are claimed to be cellphone towers but are not, chemtrails, pharmaceuticals, and mostly the cult of fear that has been created in order to manipulate and control the population. There are many layers of misunderstanding, as the people who are trying to understand these phenomena (e.g. conspiracy theorists) are falling into the same trap of fear mongering as everyone else. So when we think we have something different, it''s just another side of the same coin. Reminds me of the old TV series "The Prisoner" where the prisoner escapes, meets his old boss, feels manipulated even there, and says, "I thought I was escaping because this place is different... it IS different, isn't it?" We think we're escaping from one thing, only to find ourselves in yet another trap.. if we don't understand what the trap really is. Well, I have a lot more that could be said on this subject, including particular facts about who Gore is connected with, and direct quotes from the global elite about how they're creating an enemy (pollution, famine, new diseases, global warming, etc.) for the purpose of manipulating people to accept one world government. It's a hard pill to swallow, but that agenda includes massive genocide, which we're already seeing. And we've already been accepting the premises handed to us (over-population, fossil fuel shortage, food shortage, etc.). There is much more to be understood about many assumptions we generally hold. This is not to say that the problems don't exist. Like with AIDS, of course we know that people are sick and dying; no one is denying that. But the facts about the real causes are being suppressed, which would show a very different picture and suggest a very different course of action. I've spent the last 5 years or so avoiding TV and mass media, only reading independent news sources on the Internet. (I also write on health politics for one of the online news agencies). Putting the pieces together from independent sources, it becomes clear that the environmental movement is an agenda to further one world government and loss of personal freedom. Saving the environment is an emotionally charged issue that can easily be used to control popular sentiment.. who would want to say that they don't care about the environment?! But the real story is suppressed, naturally, so the drama that is presented seems real, and the puppet masters creating the drama remain largely hidden. It's the same scenario as we see in the field of health, where conventional medicine has largely coopted the alternative health field, and most people can't figure out how they're being manipulated with herbal and nutritional industry hype. It becomes so confusing, and people are so hypnotized by the "information" they receive, that they are overwhelmed and critical thinking is suspended. It's a real challenge to discern what's going on and sort out the truth from the matrix of truth, lies and manipulation. Gone are the days where good guys have the white hats and it's easy to tell what's what . But we've evolved beyond that, and I'm sure we're up for the task. I hope I've helped show where the common thread is in our thinking, and I'd be glad to discuss further. Re. the Amish culture.. "some" wisdom I'd say, just a different mix of light and darkness that occurs everywhere. But again, technology/industrialism vs. neo-Luddism is just another dialectic. I'd say we're attracted to the cultural circumstances that best allow us to evolve.. and there's no one right way for everyone but to follow their own heart to take whatever is the next step on their individual map of consciousness. Discerning the true map, a worthy challenge. -Karen
