So i was looking online at swords and i found these: http://www.topswords.com/Swords/Anime%20Swords?product_id=70 Sword Chucks! As far as i know they are notoriously impossible to master without hurting yourself. Soes anyone know of any fighting styles that use this weapon? I would like to view some videos if at all possible.

On the other hand I would feel a lot safer with this. http://www.topswords.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=393 Im also loving this blowgun http://www.topswords.com/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=blow%20gun&product_id=543 I was pretty spot on with my homemade blowgun before it broke.

If i had it i would also buy a boken set and connect them in a similar fashion. Then i would practice with that until i was 100% before touching the actual blades. On that note I dont know if this particular item is full tang or just a show piece.

thank you guru-yoga, seth , and dwai

I agree with what seth said on this matter, as it seems an accurate representation of my experiences. I would add that some schools of thought suggest that while using teacher plants might open up esp, they also leave you open to capricious influence. Honesty is not the strong point of the creatures of darkness.

hey does anyone have links to some english translations of some of the old tantric texts from the ks school. I cant seem to find any on amazon. Or maybe a list of some of the traditional texts. From the descriptions it sounds like an interesting school. Does it place an emphasis on the mythology of shiva or any of the astrological significance.

I think quinoa is a complete protein. I eat a lot of brown rice combined with beans to make a whole protein. Oats with almond milk is a good combo too. I eat vegetarian food but i combine different foods to make complete proteins.

If the cycles of time and celestial energies were to present us with a new phase of the cycle, then our place in that new phase would be something we can either choose consciously or unconsciously. If we continue using all of our rescources, polluting our environment and acting like spoiled children then we may go the same way as the dinosaurs. If we forget our individual ignorant bs, and work together to save our earth and our fellow humans then we may have a chance o enter into some new stage of evolution. If we bring consciousness into the evolutionary process then we can become beings capable of auto-evolution. This would be the equivalent of lucid dreaming on an evolutionary scale. I agree with you entirely, if you are suggesting that we need to find our centers and succeed in this. I also think that a phase change could might act like a catylist in our in our evolution. Its still up to us to choose our path. After all, thats the point.

Nice Link Clarity In my opinion if any of the chinese philosophers who wrote the i-ching, the mayans who made the calander, the priests who maped astrological signs and the sages who transcribed the vedas have an accurate grasp of the flow of time then their math should correspond with each other. After all how could time flow differently in china, india, europe and south america, assuming that they are all in the same universe using the same stars. I have actually seen some mathematical evidence that this theory holds true from terrence mckenna, though he doesnt get into the vedas very much. His research shows correspondences with history the iching and the mayan calender.

Have you guys heard f the galactic superwave theory. IT seems to suggest that a lot of cosmic radiation could be on the way at some point in time. Galactic superwave All the dates ive found on kali yuga are completely different. It makes me wonder, does anybody really know what time it is?

If i understand the yogis correctly 2012 morks the beginning of the transition from the age of Kali Yuga to the Satya Yuga. While the Kali Yuga is an age patriarchal, immoral, ignorant, darkness. The Satya Yuga on the other hand is a golden age of creativity, abundance and enlightenment. The transition promises to be a bit shakey ( maybe some minor crisis as old systems shut down and new ones are set up) The western astroligical calender calls this the transition from the Piscean age to the Aquarian age. The piscean age began with the incarnation of the Sun God (Yeshua) walking upon earth and sacrificing fish. He also predicted the coming of the Aquarian age by informing his disciples to find a man bearing water in the center of town and ask to be let into his house. (You can read a botched version of this story in the bible or an accurate explanation from Manly P. Hall) From what i understand the coming age should be a return to nature, equality, and spirituality. It may be the end of a very shallow and meaningless world. We should all get on the ball and prepare in my opinion. Maybe some minor food shortages and some y2k like failures if the grid goes down (banks and electronics) I personally am excited about this golden age though. Let us clean our souls.

DMT is the hormone in our brain that is responsible for dream sleep. It is secreted by the pineal gland and explains the Amrita phenomenon in kundalini active individuals. Amrita is known as a psychedelic substance naturally produced by the human body after the kundalini that allows the mind to precieve mystical aspects of consciousness. I am currently only taking advantage of my naturally produced dmt. I am practicing dream yoga and meditating. It really gives you a feel for what your made of. It binds with the 5htp receptor like serotonin, Lysergic acid compounds, and psilosybin Dmt is the primary psychedelic substance present in Ayahuasca brews, used by amazonian shamans. Reports of ayahuasca ingestion by experienced users produces more psychedelic effects than more commonly used hallucinogens (acid, mushrooms ect). Ayahuasca vine also contains harmala alkaloids that act as psychedelic maoi-inhibitors. This allows for Dmt to be active by oral dose. Ayahuasca can allow you to experience Dmt for 6+ hours. This is an advantage as normal methods of ingestion usually last only 10-20 min. Anything is possible. Say hi to the elves for me.

Hello Tao Bums, Lately i have been listening to Manly P Hall Lectures. The lectures remind me of college lectures i have sat through. The volume of lectures is divided into different subjects. There is 10-12 hours of material reviewed in each subject. I have listened to alchemy, astro-theology and atlantian hypothesis so far. The lectures go very in depth and Hall seems to present a very balanced view of cultures and symbols. Has anyone else had any experience with Halls literature.

I am currently defining my self as a point in consciousness expressing my self through a human form. My body has physical dimensions and is capable of living on planet earth. This body is animated by living energy and is aware of this principle. I am gifted to be a point in consciousness capable of witnessing and guiding this human form through its life journey. I know through the use of my imagination that i am capable of expressing myself in an unimited number of possible forms. I look around my particular corner of the universe and find that other points of consciousness are constantly finding new ways of expressing themselves. They are all manifested in a particular form through the witnessing awareness that precedes form. This witnessing awareness that expresses itself through everyone is the whole of existence in nonexistence and also the individual parts. I am constantly refining my approach to self expression. My body recycles all of its cells many times throughout its life journey. On a very deep level i am nonexistence giving birth to existence and the union of the two. I am both my individual limitations and the unlimited nature that gave birth to limitations to express itself.

Hello all the lectures i am listening are recorded in what sounds like a class. They have a slightly fuzzy sound texture but if you can look past that they are great sources of information. I believe that the lectures are public domain. If you want to find them you will have to Google "manly p hall lectures", and find a download link. Hall seems to have collected a large body of knowledge and presented it as a coherent whole. I'm surprised he isn't more mainstream. I would have loved to have experienced some of his lectures firsthand. Im sure it would be a mind-blowing experience. Many blessings

The dreams are a time when we are naturally in touch with our own souls. In our dreams we have access to creative models that allow us to observe the effects of our thoughts on reality. Through dreams we can observe the behaviors that might be creating disease in our physical lives. A disease usually rises from rises from an energetic imbalance on some level. During dreams we can access our spiritual guidance and come to understand these imbalances. The dreams are capable of leading us towards our golden mean. The golden mean is a state of balance and harmony that allows us to flow effortlessly through our lives. This state of balance is very healing to be in and free of disease generally. The dreams speak in symbols to communicate with your conscious mind. Certain symbols can be very personal or universal. With some practice we can learn to understand the symbolism in our dreams like any other language. When we come to an understanding of the symbols a quality of lucidity begins to integrate into our dreams.

This is true. In qigong traditions the qi is universal energy. All things are made of chi. Qigong practice teaches you to use a mechanism called breath to consume energy. In qigong the breath extends beyond the lungs and air.

I have been playing dungeons and dragons for years. Recently my d&d group decided to try out a new paradigm. We currenly have three players. We are all three playing the role of dungeon master. This allows us to work together to write the story and create the campaign world. We all three have also introduced heroic characters into the campaign to be a force of good in the world. During the campaign we guide the heroes through a series of situations where they must face and purify the evil forces in their world. The situations are designed to drive the heroes into greater levels of courage and inner strength. To make heroes suitable for this task, we designed characters that do not seek to exploit the world in any way ( a concept i have encountered in tao philosophy). The characters are concerned with serving the gods (divine forces of good in the world) and developing themselves. Characters that seek to rise to political power, build massive corporations or just sit around to stew in their own fear and be controlled simply are not the heroes in our world. They play bit parts at most. Most of the game occurs within the imagination and is expressed through roleplaying. The actual gameplay is actually a bit like chess with dice incorporated. D&D 3.5 rules Have fun. Be heroes.

Shen is a concept generally defined as spirit. If you look at the 3 qualities of energy described by the Chinese. Jing corresponds to essence or sexual/ emotional energy. These energies are very heavy and physical. As attention is applied to the essence it begins to become rarefied and chi develops. Chi corresponds to breath or air. This is a more clarified form of energy. It is much lighter and subtler than rough essence. To convert essence into chi we must purify our lower and more basic emotions through a means of alchemy. As the chi is worked with it begins to rise and cool off substantially. Your life becomes more free-flowing and playful as you develop your heart. When you seek an even further degree of clarity you move into the realm of shen. As chi reaches its highest point it guides the mind into the spirit world. This energy takes on the vastness of space. There are a great deal of new possibilities to explore and objectivity is gained through exploring beyond the individual circumstances. As the learned personality is sublimated into a perspective of pure clarity and balance then shen is cultivated sufficiently to begin the higher stages of alchemy. You could say that we begin the journey tied into our lower emotions. As we develop heart and love we begin to transcend these emotions. As love develops we begin to transcend our individual (egotistical/ selfish) perspectives. When we attain an objective and natural perspective we can begin living through our spiritual consciousness. The shen or spirit is an energy that is shared with the entire universe. An individual may cultivate an awareness of this energy by rising above the limited circumstances of the individual and becoming aware of the unlimited potential of expression inherent in existence. As spiritual consciousness is developed we begin a spiritual journey. Remember qigong was originally developed as a path to enlightenment. It is not a shortcut lacking in spirituality. Spiritual Qigong is a very systematic approach to life that allows a person to become more spiritually aware through the medium of space-time (life) in stages. The ancient sages graphed the stages of the journey they observed and created systems to help guide humans along their chosen paths. Once we have developed enough spiritual awareness we gain access to our divine intelligence. We are no longer limited to exploring the universe through the limited awareness of the monkey-mind. Through spiritual awareness we can uplift the human consciousness. Even in the darkest times by listening to our divine intelligence we can access our spiritual ecstacy. Through this deep inner strength we can hold fast to our benevolent principles. When you have developed shen your life journey becomes a very inspiring affair. Your consciousness becomes aware of universal balance and harmony. We come to a realization that we live in a world of light illuminating universal love. And a world of love illuminated by the light of consciousness. In the higher stages of alchemy the spiritual light begins to illuminate the holographic unlimited nature of non-being and gives rise to virtue. Qigong is a medium that works through time to transcend time. Mushin is a state of freedom from the monkey-mind. Mushin gives rise to our inherent divine intelligence that animates us and witnesses our journeys. When the monkey mind is still the guidance arising from the spiritual energy can be heard. This guidance encourages to transcend our self-centered perceptions and act in alignment with universal harmony and balance. It is a message of the triumph of divine light and unconditional love. Shen is what you have when you let go of attachments to heavier things. It is always with you but our monkey-minds tend to draw our awareness away from it.

I was 16 when i first began driving to and from high school. One day it began snowing and the people in charge decided to wait until the roads were sufficiently iced over to release the students to drive home. Along the way to my house there is a road that leads up a very large hill (almost a mountain). This road had a solid coating of ice. I made it up the road with little difficulty. But when I began descend the other side, things got a little out of hand. My car lost traction and i began spinning in a 360 down the hill. During this i had an intuition that if i tried to turn the wheel either way i would only make the situation worse. So i sat back in my seat let go of the steering wheel and relaxed. I watched my car spinning out of control straight towards the cliff at the edge of the winding road down the mountain. I was about ready to rejoin the way when the ground leveled out. My car skidded to a halt a few feet away from an icy plummet. I took a moment to appreciate the situation, pulled into reverse and backed onto the road. I had a very silent ride home. In the most surreal situations the way is always there encouraging us to let go.

The tao-te-ching is our classic philosophy book. The chuang tzu points to some deep wisdom as well. I like thomas clearys translations. Alfred Huangs I-ching is great too. Of course if you practice kung fu you will probaly be interested in qigong to supplement your practice. I recommend http://kundaliniawakeningprocess.com/ for a comprehensive course in qigong. Mantak chia presents many of the concepts in his books as well. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. -lao tzu Many blessings along your spiritual path
