  1. Another interesting thing about nature is that it naturally follows spiraling arcs and fractal patterns. Most human dwellings seem to be organized in rectangles. Its much easier for me to see the divine intelligence at work when its basic organizational pattern is not being obscured by humans. Spirals and circles encourage the adventuring spirit. Squares have lots of sharp corners and encourage people to hide on their couches where its safe. How many times did my parents encourage me to "settle down or take it outside" when i was younger. And of course our teachers always scolded "use your inside voice." I like my space to move speak and think freely. I spent the morning out in a blackberry field. I currently share my house with a horde of grass spiders. They seem like a very intelligent and peaceful lot. Especially the big ones.
  2. 3 Treasures of the Sage

3 Treasures of the sage Heres the 3 I use personally. Never be the first Never too much Love unconditionally. I believe that meditating upon the 3 treasures will eventually give rise to spontaneous right action. The universe is set up like an interactive learning process. Generally if you seek to learn from the tao you will be provided with ample opportunities to put your new virtues into action. However this can be difficult at times if you are attached to material circumstances. We have been taught throughout our lives to cultivate material wealth. The goal of many in western society it to become so financially sucessful that they can live a life of lavish excess. The goal of those who follow the way is balance and harmony in all things. This naturally gives rise to 3 general guidelines. When applied to the interactive process of life through internal alignment with the wisdom of the way these guidelines will cultivate spiritual wealth (harmony and balance) 1. Never be the first. This is a simple rule it allows you to participate in shared experiences without seeking to exploit them. If you cook a meal and wait until your guests have served themselves then you will not be able to horde all of the rations to yourself. The focus will instead be upon sharing and giving. When people continually seek to be the first then their monkey mind tends to take over. They selfishly grasp at passing material pleasures and become possessive. This isnt a very sage like quality to cultivate in your inner garden. Never being the first also allows you to assess a situation and react accordingly. The first to act at anything is sort of like an experiment. All subsequent actors have the benifit of being able to learn from the first persons triumphs and mistakes. The first in line (whether it is a spiritual revolutionary or a goverment leader) is generally the focus any assassination attempts before the second or fourth in line. In this way we can act with the wisdom of knowing where the first person made mistakes. This allows us to develop our talents fully. 2. Never too much. This is is a principle that allows a person to participate in shared experience without trying to exploit anything. Moderation can be practiced in all things. If my friends and i were sharing a pizza and i ate over half of the pizza for myself then my friends wouldnt have very much to share among themselves. I would also feel as if i had ate too much once i had settled down. If the cells in my body were acting this way i would have cancer. If you have been around people who like to drink, then you will notice that young drinkers tend to over do it a lot more than experienced drinkers. At a party with young drinkers you will find many people in the back rooms throwing up and having meaningless sex. When drinker get a little older they get tired of this behavior and drink moderately. If they do not begin practicing moderation then their health and intelligence declines rapidly. 3. Love is the principle that gives rise to all creation. The abyss is vast nothingness that contains unlimited potential to manifest in any way. In the beginning of this universe a vast amount of energy exploded out of the middle of nowhere. Through the process of gravity this energy was shaped into the universe we know today. Gravity is simply the universe recognizing the singularity of existence and being attracted to its likeness in the rest of the universe. Gravity is the scientific explanation for what the we as humans express though love. We seem to be orbiting around our loved ones our entire lives. Just as the earth orbits the sun. Unconditional love is realizing that we are all children of the way. In the universe when this singularity becomes recognized we call it a black hole. A black hole is a gathering point for light and through a singularity it creates enough gravity to hold the universe together. If a being becomes one with the singularity inside and outside then we call that enlightenment. Laotzu called this darkness within darkness the gateway to all understanding. It is the self aware singularity within the unconscious singularity that truely understands all. By observing that we are all individual points in a larger consciousness observing the manifest (life) and the unmanifest (imagination) we come to a recognition of singularity of experience. The natural conclusion is to love all as yourself because all is yourself. You may say that many people are selfish and undeserving of love. If you really observe the process you realize that we can all choose to be selfish or we can all choose to be beacons of universal love. Most people act unconsciously and simply reflect their upbringing and social conditioning. Statistics show that people who were abused during childhood tend to abuse their children later in life. Living energy tends to reflect the intent directed towards it. As long as we as an earth are divided against each other violence and abuse will naturally arise. This doesnt mean that we should show unnecessary compassion and let murderers and rapists run free to do as they please. Miyamoto Musashi (a Japanese illuminary) observed that killing was "lamentable but necessary." The shaolin monks spent years practicing kung fu to develop a way to defend themselves without having to injure someone unnecessarily. Sometimes compassion or pity can be an unbalancing act. It is through compassion that many wrongs are left unjustified. Instead of compassion/pity i suggest adopting a concept called mercy. I will give an example to show the difference. Once a sage was explaining the concept of mercy to myself and a friend over a cup of coffee. While he was talking a man walked up to our table and sat down. The man pitched a very sad story about having his truck impounded by raceist cops and needing 20$ for a bus ticket to his home town (which was about an hour and a half away. His story was full of holes and simple observation yeilded that this person was on hard drugs. Instead of giving him 20$ the sage pointed him down the street to the local homeless shelter and basically told him to sleep it off. Compassion might give the man 20 dollars and allow him to go feed his addiction. Instead mercy gave him some sound advice and sent him away. Mercy recognizes the true need of the universal spirit within everyone. The universal spirit within that man sought liberation from addiction and so the sage would not waste his rescources to feed his addiction for him. I came asking the same sage for wisdom and he bought me a cup of coffee and was very generous with his wisdom. True love gives all that is sincerely needed and has Mercy on the deviants. In this way unconditional love retains balance and harmony even in charity. The eyes are called windows to the soul. Recognize the abyss within the center of the eyeball. Recgonize that abyss within yourself and all living beings on this planet. Recognize that abyss at the center of the universe. That abyss is the singularity of unconditional love. Unconditional love is the divine intelligence that guides us and the divine energy that animates us. This is where we all originate from and where we must all return to when we are ready to illuminate the darkness. "When you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back into you" Friedrich Nietzsche "We dance around the circle and can only suppose but the secret sets in the center and knows." -Robert Frost The three treasures allow the sage to embody the way of the universe. Observing the 3 treasures gives rise to an understanding of the abyss. An understanding of the abyss allows one to know the singularity. The singularity of unconditional love allows a being to act with virtue. By practicing virtue one may attain the way. That is spiritual illumination by my understanding.
  3. The first thing you learned in Chi Kung.

I suppose standing stakes is pretty basic too. I like the tree-hugging posture/ holding the ball. I've also spent quite a bit of time standing in horse stance. In the Kundalini Awakening Process we started with 4 basic qigong exercises to gather and move qi.
  4. Chapter 51 - The Abyssal Te

Very interesting. I have seen the abyss appear several times in taoist literature. Heres an exerpt from the chuang-tzu
  5. Congraduations Mal. I have been having success with energy healing as well. Kap is a very centered and balanced approach to energy work imo.
  6. The first thing you learned in Chi Kung.

A lot of the time the first thing taught to students is the 8 pieces of the brocade. These exercises were credited to tamo. They were the first type of qigong the shaolin monks encountered on their journey to enlightenment as well. I randomly learned them from a book named Chi' the Power Within. The only taichi teacher ive ever met in person started his students off with the 8 pieces as well. Its a pretty zen way to begin. They teach you how to move your body during qigong.
  7. Opening the Kundalini: How?

I think that shaktipats from whatever tradition you encounter combined with qigong is a very effective means to prepare for the kundalini. As 5elementtao mentioned you have to develop emotional maturity. I personally had to shake up my routine by going on some adventures. Climb a mountain, go on a roadtrip, fall in love, make some new friends, go to a music festival, help people in need ect. Ive noticed that many people seem to fear mind expansion as much if not more than death. Center in love and light and allow your actions to flow naturally from this state. Try eating naturally this tends to smooth the process considerably. I like raw honey, yerba mate, reishi mushroom, greens, berries, maca, and some other herbs and plants. Pray. It doesnt have to be any particular tradition. Communicate with the divine and tune into the divine message. And of course theres nothing to fear but fear itself. Nothing to fear
  8. I Opened my Kundalini, But I did it to Early!

http://www.biologyofkundalini.com/ This website is very informative. You might also look into some of Manly p Halls work on alchemy. The kundalini tends to open in stages. There is a lesser awakening, when you meet the serpent. During the lesser awakening the imagination begins to rejuvinate, and energy increases. This is also when a very difficult part of the journey called the dark night begins. The dark night is a stage of purification. Your mind and senses must become crystal clear. You will go through a very intense stage of purification. After this there is a stage called the greater awakening. During this stage the kundalini rises through the chakras and the yogi enters into samadhi. Remember that the process is very intelligent. Its capable if balancing you out if you let it. Stay connected to the divine. However you relate to the divine is important. Its your own spiritual essence your relating to. Trust your intuition. When the kundalini finally takes hold it will make quite a few changes. I found myself dropping out of a conservative community college in the bible belt and setting out on an adventure leading deeper and deeper into the nature of the universe and the self. I would highly recommend finding a good massage therapist. Energy healing is certainly a viable option. If you have awakened your kundalini then healthy energy has to be a priority. Please describe your experiences in more detail.
  9. Double orbits

In my opinion you seem to have stumbles upon some authentic mystical experience. You should trust your own interpretation of the metaphors and wisdom presented to you. Emptiness meditation or sitting and forgetting, ultimately are techniques that allow our conscious minds to relax and enter the trance/ theta state. In the trance state our minds can access the imagination that is a fractal of the collective imagination of earth that is a fractal of the collective imagination of the universe that is a fractal of the collective imagination of the way. Imagination is stored in a sublime crystalization pattern. In the trance state our brains (especially in the post kundalini individual) contains a higher saturation of the dmt molecule that contains this crystalization pattern. During each of the 9 stages of purifying the center or abyssal chakra we come into deeper and deeper stages of lucidity and clarity imagination/ intuition. The imagination is the only means of cummunication that is unlimited so it is naturally the preferred way of communication with the divine mind. Books and other limited means can only hope to communicate the basics without obscuring the way. Direct communion with the way, which is the original self perfecting center that we all are extensions of, is the primary mechanism of alchemy, and the means through which we may consciously cocreate our personal and collective destiny. The metaphor of the black hole describes the exestential crisis very well. once you have reached a stage of alchemy it is impossible to turn back because your essence has chosen to eternally seek itself. This is like the event horizon. Running away from alchemical evolution after this point is like trying to run away from next thursday. As you endlessly spiral closer and closer to center you begin to experience universal pressure. The kundalini has a tendency to haunt you with life and death metaphors until you learn to trust your own divine connection and relax into the ironic balance of it all. The pressure has a tendency to make you feel as if you are being torn apart. This is called spagettification where the pressure from the center of the black hole rips apart and purifies the light and matter on its way to the center. Finally after the process had purified the pathways enough all existence merges into the singularity of the divine connection of consciousness and light. The center is a solid set of universal laws that you can trust. You must purify yourself of ego or the monkey mind to have faith in these laws, and unite the precieved duality of existence into singularity. singularity is what holds the entire mystery together. The journey of a thousand miles always finds its way to the same inevitable center. I like to add in some basic qigong exercises to relieve tension in my body. Meditations like taichi and orbits circulate energy which ultimately brings out the natural relaxed brilliance that the body-mind is capable of.
  10. Double orbits

The microcosmic orbit is the central orbit. the shiatsu channels are extensions of the central channel. These are like nerve fibers running through the body connected to the central nervous system. The microcosmic orbit can expand through different layers of the macrocosm. Expanding the central orbit into the shiatsu channels will fill them and increase your chi flow through your whole body. To me this seems like the natural progression of expansion of the orbit. after this you can open up flow in the aura and expand out into planatary orbits, galactic orbits, ect. The goal is to open up to the natural channels of divine flow in the universe. There are 9 degrees of purification of the center and its extremeties. So the process of opening the orbits is a balance between mind expansion and soul retrieval. To do this you must be always spiraling into deeper layers of yourself and reaching out into the universe opening to the divine presense in the universe. This ultimately results in a series of existential cisis. You become aware of your different hangups that are holding you back. By cultivating detachment you learn to let go of hangups and live in the present moment. The essense of the way is detachment as lao tzu wrote. When your central flow is strong enough to dissolve your hangups then it can expand into the universe, bringing light and life. The stars light travels across the universe, but the star sits in its center and does all of its work maintaining that central flow. Stars can live for billions of years.
  11. Double orbits

Ive noticed that you can run orbits through the shiatsu channels. That means that at any point in time you could be running 5 orbits on either side of the body. As the shiatsu channels tend to specialize in different elements of energy. A dual mirror rainbow might be a useful visualization to get the energy flowing. Does this sound anything like the phenomonon your describing.
  12. By the Gods, they've forgotten about Pluto.

  13. Sinew-changing the Lazy Way

if you stretch the tendons in the hands and feet right you can feel your bone structure align. This is an excellent way to clear out meridians.
  14. shaktipat

Amrita is fantastic. Ive also noticed an elixer produced near the ming men that synergizes with the amrita. I dont hear too much about this other elixer. Energizing the glands that produce amrita and other elixers is a big part of kundalini shaktipat.
  15. shaktipat

My spider sense starts tingeling when i come into contact with another traveler. I can usually see their energy in their aura plainly. In most people it is rather dull. In a kundalini active individual there is also a halo and glowing eyes. Its a sort of mystique or glamour that gives us away.
  16. shaktipat

While the heightened healing energy could trigger kundalini, a good healer should be able to help you with your grounding issues. If you do manage to awaken the serpent, a skilled healers services could also smooth out the process for you. just the other day i came into contact with a good friend afrer not seeing her for a while. I could tell by looking at her that she had recently experienced tha lesser awakening and had no idea what was going on. I noticed a blockage in her arm and cleared it out for her. After this her energy began flowing much smoother and her hormone levels stabilized. It was a easy problem to fix, but she probably wouldnt have noticed it on her own.
  17. Being yin and male isn't that hard. All you have to do is sit around, radiate inner light, and be receptive. Give your yin energy a chance to draw them in. Kinda like Johnny Depp.
  18. shaktipat

  22. Regarding Shaktipat

heres a tarot card i came across a while back
  23. Regarding Shaktipat

The kundalini will teach you everything you need to know about it if you will but listen to it. Once the alchemy begins, though you have teachers, you become self taught. Distinctions, and hierarchies of understanding simply split the whole of existence. They distract from true practice. It is all of it together. It is found in the dynamic contrast between dark and light.
