  1. Why is payment necessary for learning the Tao?

I have someone I learn from time to time. I actually found him online. He says he has opened up his 3rd eye, crown, and achieved union with god. He has seen the white light and golden lights. I don't pay him any money and I've been learning from him for over a year now. Thats just me, but he may charge other people. I think the reason he doesn't charge me is because he doesn't see me as his student. I was simply inquiring about something and the subject turned to tao and since then I've been learning from him. I honestly believe if a person is the real deal and has achieved immortality or close to it, he should not charge people to learn from him. He of course will understand human suffering and Karma. If people choose to give him money or donate, then I think that is better, but I do not believe he should request payment. It is those that have not achieved success in the practice that will charge people. It is those people that have only obtained a certain level, say level 4 and want to charge people. John Chang never charged his students, yet his students go out and charge other people who want to learn now, because they think they deserve it after the costs for flying to indonesia to train. In my mind, there is desire to have power and wealth! This is only for those that do not have it.
  2. Qigong Healers Needed

I'm wondering if anybody has tried the pranic healing. I tried it tonight and seem to feel some of my emotional problems lifted a little. I feel more at peace. Is this for real and will it last, or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? The techniques they were using were different than what I thought. They used crystals and salt water to treat the body's energy field. There were two other men that came in for a second session today. Apparently, they must have felt something the first time they went as well.
  3. Qigong Healers Needed

Pranaman, I'm actually in Portland, Oregon. Please let me know the name of this doctor. Thanks.
  4. Qigong Healers Needed

Thank you for the Information. I will definitely look into that since they have some free clinics in my area. I'm not so sure about the quality of healing done by those instructors though. I'm looking for more individual private treatment sessions with a master healer. If anyone knows, please let me know.
  5. is reserving jing even necessary?

Exorcist -- What happens if in the course of practicing, the practitioner still holds anger in himself. Do you think this will be disaster to himself. I have some anger in me and I'm still practicing. I'm not waiting for it to disappear as I don't know when it will. For me its been almost 3 years now and it seems things have barely gotten better. Some anger lies deep within childhood trauma, others, elsewhere, but they are not easy to heal. Sometimes I have angry thoughts while practicing against other people. I'm wonder if this is considered evil or just part of the venting and healing process?
  6. Taoist Yoga

I'm wondering if anybody is practicing the methods taught in Taoist Yoga Book. If so, I would like to discuss some things. The first thing I would like to discuss is the eye movements. I"m confused on how the eyes should move when circulating the chi. Should the eyes move left to right when moving the energy up the spine or should the eyes look down and up the spine to the head and then down to the dantien. I've been practicing looking down in my body and up the spine to the head and then down. I'm wondering if this is the correct method. This method was taught to me, not by the book. The books says to look left, up, and right. It says its pretty important key to raising the spirit.
  7. Taoist Yoga

Thanks Drew, I forgot I actually figured out the eye movements a year ago. I don't know why it kept coming up in my mind. I'll try the candle thing. I've heard of it before from Dr. Morris, but never tried it. That sounds interesting.
  8. Taoist Yoga

Thank you for the reply as I am disappointed by the lack of response.. i have emailed drew. I just want to add that I am farther along than I may have initially sounded. I'm not too concerned about the eye movements, as they may just be a personal technique, and not the only path. But I would like to know if it does matter in the advance stages. I only wanted to clarify this because I noticed many different techniques regarding eye movements, suggested in different books. I've read many many different books.
  9. Excess Heat/Energy... and Hello

Just want to say hello, I'm new to the site, but not new to Tao. I've studied most of the the books available and know how to generate the energy. My problem is not how to generate it, but how do I stop it now. The books I've read do not really say in detail how to stop it. They only say that once you start the orbiting and the prenatal breathing, eventually it becomes automatic. My problem is its automatic and I'm generating energy all day. My nerves can't seem to take the energy. I've practiced both dual cultivation and yogic breathing. Its been 8 months now. Now I want to stop the training until I resolve my emotional issues (as marriage/divorce has caused me tremendous mental damage) and become stronger physically/mentally. I don't feel mentally stable to continue at this point. Has anyone found a method to stop the energy?
