bashar is freakn awesome! he's probably the nearest I can come to meeting anyone near the level of buddha. his people are approaching light bodies completely. his ability to explain things in very simple terms, yet he is able to go very deep. when i first saw channeling, i didn't quite believe in it because the channelers keep repeating words. with bashar, he is flawless! i try to critique every word he says, but I can not find a fake. he hasn't changed a bit from 1983 to NOW! You can tell darryl has changed, but bashar has not. The kids he channeled to in 1983 are grown up now and asking him for more advice. I'm attending his seminar in Nov 20th!

Smile, I think what bashar is teaching us, is that we are already on that evolutionary path to buddhahood as a group consciousness. This path will not take fruition until another 1000 years into our future, thus, successive rebirths for the majority. However, many individuals... I suspect those who like to visit his board, are the ones who are once returners and higher along the path. Bashar says his people are approaching 6th density. I wonder what consciousness level this would be at, as the buddha was reported to go beyond 8th consciousness.

If humans did not eat animals, there would be an over population. It seems the world was created with higherchies. Small fish eats algae, medium fish eats small fish, big fish eats medium fish, humans eat big fish. The dalai lama was reported to eat meat because of his Hepititus A problem. Following Dr's orders apparently. If something is not kept in check, it becomes imbalanced. The question is suffering? How much suffering does the spirit that inhabits the animal deserve? Is it his negative karma to be eaten, to suffer? Because we are aware, we definitely need to try to prevent suffering in any situation as much as possible. In, my family they still practice shamanism. Its very old, probably older than tao. They sacrifice bulls and chickens. Sometimes, they cut the throats of the chicken to extract the blood. The blood is used to make a dish and is eaten. Nothing is wasted. After the sacrifice, the bull is eaten and so is the chicken. Nothing is thrown away. I can tell there is tremendous suffering. Ive only participated as a kid, but have never since accepted it. My dad has asked me to go kill a bull with him. I never went. I stop helping my mom hold the chicken too when she was slicing their throat, very young in my life. I already knew what they were doing was not quite right. Too brutal. But the question is, how does this differ from your chicken nuggets you get from the market or Mckkies? is this more brutal then the assembly line that has mechanical arms tearing the heads off the chickens? hum??? The blood extraction is evil, but I can not really think of another method they can get the blood without cuting the jugular. Like I said, they eat the blood. They make a dish out of it, which is actually cooked, one raw jelly, too.... not mean are really interested in the raw anymore because of the diseases these days. I've always believed that eating animals was fine, if it is for food. Does a northerner that lives in alaska who only feeds on meat because he can't grow food, any more good in the creator's eyes? I seriously doubt it. I've thought about this alot. Even some people say eating meat, makes one more Yang or as the hindus say more Tamas. i'm still debating this. For example, its ok for hindus not to eat cows because they till the farm, but it is ok to eat the chicken that provides the eggs? Is the cow more evolved, more aware, than the chicken? hum? So animals for food to me is fine... The question is lies in how the animal is killed. It seems we need to invent ways to kill animals without them suffering at all. I think this is the most beneficial way. To me the best way would be to put them to sleep first, then pull the plug. This way the animal spirit experiences no pain or suffering. The spirit then goes onto its next life to experience that.

It just means that in a previous life, your mom also cultivated and meditated. I see this with tibetan families all the time. They have a riponche and then the son or daughter is someone reborn into the family. That son or daughter was also a meditator or cultivator. This is part of the good karma they say. There is one guy who can stick metal on his chest like a magnet. His son can do the same thing. This is electomagnetic forces in our body. You only get it if you cultivated in a previous life. They say you carry forth your obtainments, but amnesia is required.

I believe in the buddha's teachings and everything he has taught I find accurate. What is also so, is I have followed bashar for many years now and I have not found a wrinkle in his words. Everything I am experiencing I have learned first as a Taoist and these experiences are exactly what bashar is talking about. I have also read many books that say we are light beings that have intentially come here to experience this reality because we did not let light enter certain dark areas of our being. He says they are 1000 years ahead of us in evolution, and where we will be in 1000 years from now. Thus we are here to learn to. They call many of us Lightworkers who have come back! Youtube lightworkers... They say we have come here with everything already planned. Before we came we had advisors who we talked to and mapped out our course of life. What major obstacles we will experience ect... and that everyone is here essentially playing roles like in a movie. They said we choose our parents and our parents choose us, we determined what personality we will have, what we will look like, etc... But, what the buddha teaches, i believe in the impermanence stuff, but he also says we are stuck here like fish caught in a net. This is not what bashar has said. He has said we choose to come back each time, over and over. He even said when we die in a car crash, we can choose to come back after we are dead to the same life. He said it is our choice. For example, the one guy that survived a plane crash and all 300 passengers were killed. He is saying, that 1 passenger didn't really survive, but decided to come back, whereas, the rest did not choose to. I have also read other where, they say many of us have chosen to be reborn here during this period of major awakening, to bring light to the world. I wonder if Buddha's teaching is outdated. When he taught 2000 years ago, we were not at this major awakening period. I can understand 2000 years ago, people would be reborn over and over into worlds without the darma, but now is different. If I was to be reborn again here, the world would be more evolved. Anyways, I'm trying to merge the new age theories, of us as light beings intentially coming here to experience this reality with a blueprint, and having a choice to return vs. buddha's teaching which is you don't have choice, but are carried by karma. Its almost like buddha's path will lead to enlightenment or the light body, but isn't that already what we are before we came into being human? If we get to that point by skipping all the other steps in between, won't we miss out on knowing how it felt to live like a quasi light being vs. a pure light being.? Like skipping childhood fun, only to reach adulthood with freedom quickly? I rememeber bashar saying, by trying to obtain enlightenment and shut oneself off, one is essentially avoiding what one has come here to experience. My guess, is buddha's path, helps us jump through the hoops, to get to the icecream, as quickly as possible. I guess buddha's path is skip jr high, high school, college, and kick back on the beaches of maui. Ok. I think I just answered my question. I also remember bashar saying, that if we do that, we will defeat the purpose of coming here in the first place. That means we will eventually have to return. They say many monks who have meditated and obtained very high levels will eventually have to return again, because they have not learned to live in the real world with their obtainments. They still have their ego that has not been tamed through regular life. Isolation does not help the ego-mind. It simply quiets the mind. In regular life, one can not avoid others, and must learn to deal with them. I'm guessing, they choose to come back to fully test themselves. Its fine and to have all that energy and sit in isolation, but thats not really a test. The test is taking that into the world and not tripping over oneself with other people that are not awake. How will one handle one's energy among others is the question? There are apparently many different levels on which many are supposed to experience. I think the path goes something like, gradual awakening, minor awakening, major awakening all within successive rebirths. It seems everyone has their own path to follow based on their advisors recommendations. This is why we can not teach some people the way, because it is not their time. Some people are happy with their life, at least this go around. ... thinking too much!

I think cancer can also be caused by viruses. I believe "many" of these viruses are intentially created and designed by evil people, so our immune system can not fight back. Just think, many cancers knows where to go first... it hits the key immune areas first (lymph nodes). This is almost a targeted attack and not really some cell that has gone out of control. Its like they are programmed to destroy and they know how to do it. When I think about the mode of killing cancer that also concerns me, especially for cultivators. I know many monks who die of cancer. To kill cancer modern ways requires radiation. I read somewhere that radiation is actually bad for our soul bodies. So for someone with Chi, or someone cultivating their spirit bodies, radiation might just destroy the soul body as well.

The initial poster probably wanted to know who else is gay on this forum. Whether you are gay does not matter here. I think here, in this forum, you will find the most open-minded people. Like the other poster said... the energy does not choose sides. I used to be afraid of gay people when I was young, mainly because my friends did not like them. leo, there are humans who have many different capabilities naturally because of previous life cultivation. For you because you have this natural ability... to me can only mean that in a previous life you spent time in cultivation as a monk or taoist. for someone to have this ability at such a young age, means you spent much time in meditation. there are many they say who have chosen to be reborn here during this major awakening period. You should look into a guy called John Chang on youtube. when you meditate, yang qi naturally develops. How old are you now?

I had a similar experience, however, I think mine was in samadhi. I slipped into deep meditation one morning. I woke up and tried to go back to sleep, but there was construction going on and keep getting woken up. Somehow, I slipped into a state where the noise just faded away and I found myself in a state where everything was black. I started to hear radio waves frequencies... many different ones same time... I was telling myself... wow... weird man... Then something caught my attention to the left. I looked and there was a portal in front of me. It looked like a portal with waves of silver water. Some dudes image popped out and started to talk to me. It was trying to tell me something. It said be careful who you trust and kept speaking. I or my mind panicked and I was thinking to myself... crap... This so and so might be a demon to trick me. My thoughts were going on the same time he was speaking. I was wondering if you ever heard about Bashar.org? This guy Daryll channels this advanced ET called Bashar(1 thousand yrs ahead of us) and talks about how when we die, we wake up and realize it was only physical reality. However, he goes on to say we are here to experience our greatest joy and our lives here has a blueprint created by the higher self (soul?) that we are to follow. The ET himself said he is quasi physical and light, and his world is becoming light beings. He has not mentioned anything on enlighenment, but only to follow one's greatest joy. This is what confuses me. Buddhist talk about getting out, and this ET says, follow our greatest joy. Sitting around meditating to obtain enlightenment would not be considered the greatest joy for many. Many would like to paint, write, play sports, sing, make love as their greatest joys.. What is your take on this?

I think I have been there before also three times now. I could hear my own thoughts while there. When I was there, I thought I was in the real matrix. Later afterwards, I realize earth is the matrix! When in the spirit realm, I could walk around and everything felt physical. I saw human beings. They looked human. I was at somekind of station and people were waiting in line up some kind of stairs. I went over and asked some people where the exit was and they just looked at me. I turned around and walked back talking to myself saying I can't believe I am in the matrix! lol... I kept walking and looking around wondering... wow! this looks so real! Then as I was walking and then thinking, I disappeared into this worm hole. It was like I was jumping to another place just be thought. The thought triggered the worm-hole. Anyways, I fell in and went sliding down that worm-hole like I was on a slippery slide. It went on and on for such a long time. I just looked to the left and right going wow! this is real cool! then I thought to myself... wow, when is this going to end, because it just kept going for what appeared a long ride. I said to myself ... you know what I'm just going to relax and enjoy myself. After a while, I flew out into another world and was carried to a farm by a flying tree shrub! It took me to a farm house and dropped me off. I saw two people working there. I ended up meeting other people there, some people I knew here on earth. thats what threw me off. Then I met a girl. At first I didn't recognize her, but the more I looked, I realized I knew her. Then I lost the contact and woke up. Whenever I left there, I could always feel the transition coming out. At first I thought they were dreams, but I realized these are not dreams because they are too vivid, as years later, I still remember the details. I've been in states where I can hear radio waves also, many different channels going on the sametime. Very weird states.

Guys, I think 2012 is not a good time for human beings. There is going to be a polar shift that is going to put the North pole where the equator is and make the equator probably underwater. It is a fact that millions of square miles of tropical forest is underneath the north pole. Remember Atlantis? It is very real and do you know it went under the ocean. It was because of a pole shift. When the earth shifted, it sunk some land and surfaced other land masses. Its cyclic. Every 3600 years, the poles shift because of planetary influence. If you knew that half or more of the land masses would be underwater in one month, what would you do? I actually thought about running to the himalaysis, but I think I will stick around with my family (parents) and die or survive this together. I don't even think a global conscious effort can offset the polar shift. The consciousness effort may affect the magnetic force field around the earth, but I believe the influences of the planets will be too great this time. All major cities within 100 miles of the ocean will be underwater probably within weeks. Because we live in the time of technology and all technology centers are within 100 miles of the ocean, they will all be wiped out. *All internet will be wiped out *All telecommunication, cell phones wiped out This is really a new beginning, as the slate will be cleaned. But, for those that survive, they will experience a spiritual time.

Is it just me or does this new tao site seem a bit cluttered. I liked the simplicity and clarity of the old site. For one, the Tao Bums seemed to be unique before, but now it just seems like another forum on the web. The site is too generic. I guess I don't like this new design. I seemed to spend too much time scrolling and scrolling... Topics are also confused with the color coordination. Its supposed to look nice, but it makes reading material worse.

YOu guys need to bring the old banner back with the unique text. This new "THE TAO BUMS!" is so generic. You're using normal Arial text or like it. I think people connected with the old banner because it was unique writing. Also get rid of the color cooridination with the discussion topics. Just keep it white. And remove an unnecessary items to prevent too much scrolling. Follow the Tao, keep it simple. Everything else is just clutter. Attache a file should be an advanced option and should be hidden. or after the reply button, but not before it.

I was at the airport and they had one of these setup. I accidently got into this line using this machine. When I got there, I told them I didn't want to use it because I don't like radiation of any kind or experimental machinese. They had me walk around and get frisk. Everyone else went through it.
