Shiva God of Death sitting on slain tiger skin
Seth Ananda replied to SunLover's topic in General Discussion
You are sort of right in a way about the representation in a way but also sort of wrong. 1. Shiva did not slay the Tiger. The tiger gave its skin to Lord Shiva to make him comfortable. So Shiva did not destroy his lower nature, he mastered it, and it helped him in return. 2. Sitting on the tiger skin does represents mastery over the passionate and animalistic nature but not as a total repression or destruction of it. Shiva is not just the meditating yogi, but also the Family man with wife and child {Parvarti and Ganesh}, and is Nataraj, the Lord of the dance. He Is the Consummate Tantric practitioner. He can use all adverse situations {and substances} and turn them into powerful Sadanha. He Makes love with Goddesses. He hangs out with Ghosts and parties with Demons. He hangs out in grave yards and eats corpses. Then he comes home and cares for his house... -
This is the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, which is an core meditation text from the Kashmir Shavite school, although its a really lousy translation. Turtles link is quite good. But thanks WWROA for starting the thread

No innocent humans on Earth.. even a human child is a murderer..

And don't give me this eating plants is the same as eating animals rubbish. Plants propagation depends a great part on being eaten, and then defecated somewhere else. All that poo helps the seeds grow. Why did fruits evolve to be so delicious? So animals would want to eat them and leave the seeds somewhere else. Every plant is alive in its seeds. But subject aside. Tulku! Get some medication, seek profesional help, something. You are one bitter nasty individual. That attitude will not help your aspirations. -
I am curious, what are peoples favourite healing modalities? What have people found the best results with? Who has some awesome 'anecdotal' success stories?

Id like to know if sending emails like this is in line with TTBs policy? First I want to say MPG hates reiki, and has been trolling this thread, and wants to send this page about a subject he hates to the pit, well no surprise there... I don't want to see this subject go to the pit, and I am happy to keep educating MPG if I have too. If he keeps spewing all his BS, i will keep pointing out to him how dumb his point of view is. Second, MPG refuses to have an intelligent discussion. Do we really need him here?
-
Hehe, look what lovely email i just got: Don't bother replying to this it's a junk email. I just wanted to tell you to go fuck yourself. Best of luck playing make believe with your reiki and wicca bullshit. I hope you find a wife and have a million babies and never accomplish anything with your life, and you die in a nursing home wondering maybe if something more was possible. Talk to you never.

I totally agree JohnC! It is going quite well so far. MPG's last post has less absolutes and more admissions that something or other is just his 'opinion'. As far as I am concerned, when the subjectivity of any perspective is acknowledged, everyone wins. that is always what I aim for when I engage someone. question and point, question and point... It wears down stupid absolutism and makes the world a better place. {for me} lol.

So first I asked: 1.) Exactly how does your knowing 1 delusional Wiccan, conclusively demonstrate that the entire field of Magick is entirely lacking of any form of results, outside of deluded Magicians Imaginations? How many is a lot? Do they all live in their parents basements? Do they all try to summon armies of skeleton Knights? how sure are you that they adequately represent the entire world of Magick practitioners? What exactly constitutes a 'real' ability? And why are you so certain that old A.C. had no other abilities whatsoever? I have personally never known anyone to try to conjure an army of undead. Were they fresh out of D&D and decided to try Magick? Its just stupid. And it is stupid to keep using it as an example. no real Magickian anywhere believes he can have skeleton knights. That is just hollywood D&D bs. Cease your misinformation. i asked:2.) How do you KNOW with absolute certainty that Reiki is never, under any circumstance, anything but Placebo? If your answer is some links to tests someone else ran, then How do you know with absolute 100% certainty that the tests were fair to the practitioners, or that they used skilled practitioners, or that they were reasonably set up to begin with? You replied: Really? How hard have you looked? There have been plenty of tests over the years where a healer kills cancer cells in a test tube or some similar thing. Not to mention all the amazing 'anecdotal' healings millions of people have received sometimes from impossible conditions... but they don't count to you do they... lol. Why are you so certain that anecdotal evidence is not worthy of your time? I asked: 3.) How do you KNOW that the only results worth mentioning are those of a telekinetic or psychic heat variety? Please elaborate further on this one, and explain how you are 100% certain that if a person cant do these two things, that they have been wasting your time? your answer: I just have to laugh at ignorance here. Your 'opinion' here is that 'enlightenment', a sense of deep connection to existence, and many other Siddhis are all just a waste of time!!! Wow! Well i know people who have used Magick to win amounts between $20.000 {at the casino} and $280,000 in the lottery. Two of my early teachers bought their house together after doing some ritual and then buying 1 lotto ticket. $150.000! A psychic friend went to sleep worried about his son and his pregnant wife. He woke up from a dream with a string of numbers, that were 'for' his son. next morning he rang his son and told him to by a ticket with the numbers. His son bought 2 tickets in whatever it was, and won $140.000 on each. that's Two hundred and eighty thousand! But wait, oh.. shit... anecdotal evidence. oh well. that stuff is all bull shit then! lol And your Skeleton example is stupid, and a deliberate attempt to belittle people who practice something you don't understand. You keep saying you are not trying to be personally offensive, but you are lying. This is exactly what you are doing with the undead skeleton analogy. You are trying to lump all practitioners of Magick [which includes me] in with the retard you met in his parents basement. So you are basically saying All practitioners are like that one practitioner, by association. As a careful and intelligent practitioner of Magick, this is highly disrespectful and insulting. Well I look forward to that. But how long have you been practising? How much daily practice do you do? Surely you can do something by now? When will you finish your training? Is it ok for you to not have abilities before you have finished your training? If that is the case, are others allowed to say they are engaged in real practices, but won't show you what they can do till they have finished their training?

thanks Scotty, that docco looks great

MPG. Here is your chance to show us you are capable of Honest analysis. Please explain a few things step by step: 1.) Exactly how does your knowing 1 delusional Wiccan, conclusively demonstrate that the entire field of Magick is entirely lacking of any form of results, outside of deluded Magicians Imaginations? 2.) How do you KNOW with absolute certainty that Reiki is never, under any circumstance, anything but Placebo? If your answer is some links to tests someone else ran, then How do you know with absolute 100% certainty that the tests were fair to the practitioners, or that they used skilled practitioners, or that they were reasonably set up to begin with? 3.) How do you KNOW that the only results worth mentioning are those of a telekinetic or psychic heat variety? Please elaborate further on this one, and explain how you are 100% certain that if a person cant do these two things, that they have been wasting your time? 4.) How do you Know with absolute certainty that there is no such thing as once off effects, that can not be studied scientifically, due to the random nature of their manifestations. {such as from results magick which works over time, or spirit medium phenomona} 5.) How you know with 100% certainty that your wiring up of your pc represents one of the only real practices out side of Tummo and mo pai? And for me personally, I want to know why you come to TTBs? All you seem to do is proselytize about how you are the only person who does any real practice, that gets results, and then you troll threads shitting on everyone else's theories or understandings, and +1ing your own posts... You have your own forum for that. And finally, since you are the only one here doing any real practice that gets results, well please show us these results! A simple you tube Vid will sufice.

Well how scientific of you! Who would have thought you would so gallantly rise to the challenge of analysing your own totally unscientific and unskeptical assertions and faulty logic systems. I have told you some of the results i have got with healing sciences. One includes helping a man become HIV negative. He had got triple opinions from the medical establishment. That is three different confirmations that he was HIV positive. His cure was written off as a case of repeated medical misdiagnosis. But you only care about your little theories, not about actual cases. You sir are despicable. You are an attention sponge. You show the worst understanding of what you call scientific scepticism. And you refuse to enter honest dialogue. You are a condescending coward and a troll. You should be ashamed of your self.
-
MPG. I am beginning to wonder -again- whether you are interested in anything but trolling. you come up with the same sad, boring arguments over and over again. Yes we know you met a few lame ass 'wiccans' in your time! You have used this analogy hundreds of times! My question to you is are you a Moron? Can you see that this proves nothing more than you know a few sad delusional people? {and that they themselves do not know how to do any magick, Which says nothing at all about anyone else!} Why would you judge a whole field of development on people who barely even qualify to be called members? Wouldn't you want to talk to the PHD's rather than people who may not qualify for preschool? Can you see the logic to this, or are you a Moron? Yet you continue, like a Moron, to use this example which means nothing. Why? Your tone is full of bigotry and condescension based on some stupid conclusions drawn from stupid people. You have not explored for yourself the results these things bring. You seem to think you are special because you had experiences that effected others in your family, Many many people have had these kind of experiences. Some from things like Reiki! You are not the only person who has had 'real' experiences! You also seem to think that because you love mo pai and practice tummo, and strap a wire to your perenium that you are scientifically above everyone else. You are not. In fact your scientific logic is quite faulty, as i am pointing out. Millions of monks practice Tummo, along side practices which are Identical to those in magick, and even some very much like reiki. Infact my friends learnt the White Tara healing system directly from the Gyuoto Monks, and it was almost exactly the same. It began with an empowerment, then they learnt a mantra and some symbols, and then they put their hands on the body. Then they were told that they would get better and better with practice, and that further initiations are be available once their skills had improved. Which is the way Reiki is supposed to progress. {before cash hungry westerners decided to offer reiki 1, 2, and Master level, all in a weekend and other crazy western shenanigans... } I am calling you out MPG. I challenge you too an Impeccability trial! I know you like to think of yourself as scientifically savy, and rational and sceptical, so prove it! Never use that lame description of your delusional basement Wiccan again. It is a low dirty tactic. It is intellectually dishonest. No actual scientist would use that case as data, let alone as 'proof' of something. So you stop using it as well. Skeptics as well, would go to the allegedly 'good' sources to investigate a claim. They would just laugh at sad people in a basement. If you wan't to consider yourself as belonging to these 'esteemed' crowds, then you better learn what qualifies as a scientific opinion. so, If you are not a moron, and are capable of rationality, I demand, in the name of Honesty, that you start showing higher standards in your case studies, and in your language. You also regularly claim things untrue because you in all your Majesticness have not seen it produce results! Please! Who the fuck do you think you are? A Psi investigation team? Where have you even looked? If you make statements like that in the future, I demand that you qualify it by exactly what studies or experiments you did on the subject that lead to your Holy conclusions.

I'll agree with that. Reiki can be very powerful in conjunction with other disciplines. But I do think there are better arts

This is a great example, for discussion about the stupid side of scepticism. This woman was up shit creek basically. He fixed her. Yet, a skeptic will never believe this. They will just throw up examples of debunked conmen, shout things about placebo, and when all else fails, get very nasty and personally insulting. But do you think this woman cares what a skeptic thinks? And I am not saying I am not sceptical about things. I am very suspicious of things like Homeopathy, yuen method, theta healing, and kineasiology's muscle testing. And placebo is a fascinating science. The thing is that plaecbo has a percentage range of effectiveness for different conditions. Pain, auto immune conditions, psychological issues, certain muscular issues like back problems, colds and flues... These have a high response % to placebo treatments. This is what I usually hear about the above techniques being good at 'fixing' in people. Things like cancer, muscle wasting diseases, leukaemia... tend to have a very low percentage of responding to placebo. But there are healers out there who { using energy } have a high success rate with these very conditions.

Just to clarify, I don't consider Reiki a cultivation system. Or too be fair, only a very very very mild one with a very limited shelf of development that it can help you reach. When I learned i was practising it a lot. And also doing extensive MCO and LDT meditation. then working with reiki, just felt like icing on the cake. My job was standing around with my hands on someone, with energy buzzing through me. Doing that helped facilitate an opening of the Inner channels, and triggered abilities at certain times. For instance at some points I could 'look' inside the body. I could see organs, capillaries or the skeleton. That used to freak me out at first. At other times my vision would open, and spirits would come and help, or I would start seeing the most complex arrangements of the energy bodies and where sludge, or parasitic entities were interfering with someone somehow, and I would remove it. The interesting thing about these events, were they were always very impactful to the client, simultaneously. {Sorry MPG that just cant be proved } It can be a good healing system, in the hands of the right person. And for many many others it is average, or worse. As I have said, I have seen some amazing healings. Like a 90% size reduction of a breast tumor in an hour. Unfortunately the woman was still too freaked out, and had her breast removed the following morning anyway. But that is where I heard the 90% reduction figure. And many many other healings. {but im just a semi delusional nuff nuff believing what I see and not caring about whether I can 'prove' a once off event right? lol} Also I do not personally believe in objectivity. Everything is subjective, all the time. I think there are better energy healing systems out there, but reiki is a good foundation for those who want to start somewhere.

K, if you are in a materialist mind set and want to see if experience of other things are possible, then feel free to be careful, but dont just decide that there is only one way, or that some particular thing could absolutely not be true, because you firmly believe X... That is just stupid. {no ofence MPG}

Here is Victor Zammits challenge to the skeptics! http://www.victorzammit.com/skeptics/challenge.html

I studied Reiki when I was younger. I did my Master Level over 6 months with my teacher. Reiki helped open up my Inner perceptions very well. When a spirit walks into the room and starts working on the clients feet, while you are working on their shoulders, and exactly when it grabs their feet, the client looks up surprised and sees {open eyed} a luminous figure there holding their feet - {perfect sync up of my and their perceptions}, it does something to the way one sees the world. I have seen and been apart of amazing healings, although not all were Reiki specifically. When you have had experiences like that, More Pie Guys usual boring assertions seem inane and funny. Can I prove it? No! Do I care? No! The world is filled with Lunk heads who will never experience things like this, because it seems that they are here to be very 'material' and they get their 'meaning' from material things. Their very world view seems to act as a filter or protective barrier, to make sure they don't see these things, and they dislike and feel superior to people who do have these experiences, and so they do not hang around anyone or who does experience these things, thus never risking getting dragged into such experiences... Then there are the other kind, who are terrified to let go of Materialism perceptions, but are still interested, and thus allow them selves a tiny range of experience based on something they 'believe' may be scientifically demonstrateble, or pick the 'one' thing that seems to be scientifically demonstrateble. These people are cowards and safety junkies. They are unwilling to see for them selves, without the lens of science. They like MPG are also Fanatics, although lovable fanatics in MPGs case. Now Ill admit that there are also those who run to embrace everything that seems opposite to Materialism, and use no common sense what so ever. They are just sad people, wounded by Materialisms ravaging of our culture, and feel desperate for any scene of 'connection' that they intuit that they are missing. And before anyone brings up the Randy challenge, ponder on the fact that famous spiritualist Victor Zammit has offered a million dollar reward to prove foul play in the materialisation phenomena that occurs during their sessions. Numerous skeptics have stepped up, and left with their tails between their legs. http://www.victorzammit.com/skeptics/challenge.html

Wow. part 1 of 4. -
Or even since Einstein pointed out that 'Something' can not become 'Nothing' - ever! Everything we can see, is still there when somebody dies. but somehow the bit of 'them' that really made them 'them' is gone. Now if Einstein was right, and something can not become nothing, then what did that 'consciousness' that made them 'them' turn into? And where is it? And why don't we think about this more?

Did you watch this? I do not think that guy was a stooge. And DB's experiments, have been getting closer and closer to doing this. Watch the Heist. He has been learning just how to push people past their Moral boundaries, and here is the crowning success. And i don't want to turn this into a MK ultra conspiracy thread, but why don't you examine your statement: Really? Does this make any sense to you? Why do you have such trustworthy inside knowledge on what the military is 'really' up to? And say they did research it, and found a way to make it work, what would they tell people about their success? Certainly not that they were successful! -

What I find disturbing is the demonstration of how susceptible to manipulation we are. Fashion. Do certain outfits look 'cool' to you where others look quaint or out of date? Music. Do certain sounds really hit that spot, where music from other genre's is boring. Was dubstep suddenly cool? War. here in Australia, when Howard first sent us to war, the media polls said that 93+% of the population was against the move. But After a mere 2 months of Media propaganda running arab enemy patterning, and telling us it was un-Australian to not support our 'Boys Abroad' we had the polls saying that 75% of our population was pro Aus being stationed there... That is incredibly effective sheep herding... -

Remember that tulku {or whoever his name was at the time} has told us, in very very absolute terms that he will not be here after 2012, so there is only 2 months left to chat with him. make it count! In fact his previous posts are probably a good tool to use to try to reach him. Nothing is as humbling as failed prophecy's and seeing his fallibility pointed out may help him get down off his high horse...
