Do you "belong to"/follow any particular tradition?
Seth Ananda replied to Unseen_Abilities's topic in General Discussion
Hehe, one of the things l Love about all those Hybrid Christian/Shamanistic religions, is exactly this. They use the beautiful or inspirational parts of the church and toss the rest. A Christian looks at them from out side, and is appalled. He tells them "You just don't 'get' it... religion is about words in a book! and you dont follow those words" The Shaman sees the Christians reading from their books, and debating text. She says "You just don't get it! Religion is not about words, its about direct lived experience!" I side with the latter. -
Friendship feeds and nourishes the soul. And boosts the Immune system. Only the purely Transcendental schools {world & physical life denying} would say otherwise. But I would add that good quality friends are far more important that those of low disposition... {and those can be fun as well} I believe we are inherently relational beings when we get down to it, and that makes our people relationships very Important. Seth.

A few questions about important questions about ejaculation control and sexual energy
Seth Ananda replied to yondaime109's topic in General Discussion
Hey good to hear thelerner! Karezza is the {or a} path of multi orgasmicness. Mantac Chia incorrectly espoused the theory that a man could have an infinite number of 'ejaculation response triggering' orgasms and he called it Multi orgasmic. That is just not true. Whether one spills the beans or squeezes their PC so hard that the fluid escapes into their bladders, it is still a conventional orgasm, and a man can only have a couple of them in any given sexual encounter. {high testosterone may allow a man to have a few more on top of that, but its not sustainable ultimately and does nothing for energy cultivation} As for retaining at 16, well think of shaolin temples, and many of the great masters from many traditions. They did not waste all that amazing energy from those precious years. I was celibate for about a year when I was 18-19 and I think that is one reason why my spiritual experiences were so unusually Intense back then. If only I had known how to properly retain and cultivate when I started out with Tantra... Be well -
A few questions about important questions about ejaculation control and sexual energy
Seth Ananda replied to yondaime109's topic in General Discussion
The point is that you dont have to be celibate, to get its energy benefits. Multi orgasmic means you never have an orgasm that would lead to ejaculation or injaculation {retrograde}. What does happen is that in being really present with your self or your partner, without the orgasm goal oriented mind set being present, that one deeply enjoys the feelings of connection with ones partner, and deeply enjoys all the pleasurable sensations of sex for just what they are {with out an end goal in sight} and that the longer one goes, the more and more amazing the pleasure becomes, untill your whole body is trembling with 'orgasmicness' without ever approaching the physiological event where semen would try to escape your body, in a conventional {muggle} orgasm. That is the detail that drains the sexual energy. And its far far better than conventional sex, both in pleasure and love connection. -

Learn where your point of no return is. If say its at 95% arousal, then learn to stay between 30% to 90% arousal and never pass it to the point of no return. Learn to manage your arousal levels by Mastering Relaxation, Transmutation and the Pause... These are the 3 Tantric Keys {sexually speaking}. learn to enjoy every moment of pleasure, for what it is. Every pulse of pleasure is really a moment of orgasmic joy. When you see your self hopping on to the express train to Orgasm that conventional sex is, use the Pause. Its the ultimate slap in the face to our conventional wiring that says we must achieve Ejaculation at all costs. When you pause, notice the little man within screaming "What are You Doing!!! Why did you stop!?? You NEVER NEVER STOP!!!" Then when you are relaxed again continue... Yes! what exactly do you mean by reverse kegels? Hard to say, depends on how old you are, how good your energy reserves are, whether you are meditating on opening the MCO or not {out side of sexual practice} the Kind of MCO meditation you are doing, and how successfully your retention practice is, your diet, your health levels, your elemental dispositions and probably a host of other factors. Its hard to say. Avoid Mantac Chias sexual stuff as they have erroneous teachings within them. Asking questions here is good. Find a practice of the MCO you like, and preferably one that is heavy on LDT cultivation. I personally like 60-70% Lower Dan Tien focus, and 30-40% MCO... -

Can you just stop rambling your stupid pop psychology. No one asked you to play the teacher or to enlighten us with your 'wisdom'... If aya can 'kill' people, people need to know, but when allegations are made, all the facts need to be presented. And if "everything be what everything be" supposedly makes facts irrelevant, then why don't you go and eat some cyanide and show us all how developed you are in mastery of your philosophy. It should make a very short discussion. -

Groan... Re read his post. He is specifically referring to people on substances thinking stuff can happen that is not happening. It cant be more clear. And can we stay on thread people. this thread has nothing to do with the Illumanati, or with how much better one person thinks his tradition is than everyone elses, {which topic wise is so old its utterly boring} -

Exactly! This is what I have been trying to say in this thread. Sure there have been some deaths, {an absolutely miniscule and insignificant proportion compared to hundreds of other substances} related to the use of Aya, but so far there is not a shred of evidence to say Aya herself is directly responsible. This does not stop those of a black and white mind set jumping to immediate conclusions without proper evidence. The proving must be detailed mrtiger, not based on a newspaper article. It must rule out pharmaceutical complications, and dodgy brews with other, sometimes deadly substances in them... In my book, Aya is Innocent until proven guilty! -

To me it seems like Taomeow was saying that Aya taught her to work with weather {after drinking it} but that she was not on Aya when she used her 'Aya knowledge' to diffuse the Hurricane. This obviously negates your 'wise words', as if she was not under the influence, you cant claim she was delusional when she used her weather Magick. -

lol, maybe I missed something. Who said anything about someone planting a story? Of course a teen died in Peru under a dodgy Aya shaman, with Aya involved. But To me it seems that people jump to blame Aya itself with out ANY evidence it was Aya it self, and not some other Ingredients or complications with their existing medications. Because Aya has such an amazing track record in healing cancers and tumors - I know people who went to Peru or Brazil to heal themselves from these very things {successfully}, and because there are communities there who have never even heard of Aya itself causing a death, and who have been taking it for 1000's of years, Aya has this record of being an Amazing Sacred plant medicine. The conservative mind is very uncomfortable with this, because of the Psychedelic 'connotations' and will very happily welcome any Information that besmirches this plants record to help set it at ease that 'Drugs are Bad' mkay! And they will happily do this without any close examinations of any deaths that do happen. This has happened in Australia already, with the 7.30 reports Aya episode, which is pretty much a conservative Inspired fear campaign against the plant, and blatantly lies all through the show... That is the conspiracy I believe in. -

That is not lots of deaths, that is 3 deaths and we have no way of knowing if the deceased were on other medications as yet, or if a dodgy Shaman was mixing his brew with many other Ingredients... I am wondering if this link is the one i had heard about, where two guys died, but if it is, the shaman in question had mixed in datura and a series of other plants. {at least that is what i have heard from people who know the 'Shaman' in question...} Either way, In the next few years, we will see the media trying to demonise Aya through any means available, but especially through faulty logic... I am not sugesting that this 'conspiracy' is organised, its just that the conservative mind set is deeply offended by westerners thinking that a plant is sacred and healing and will do what it can to cut that poppy down... -

Actually I have been quite suprised just how effective they are. I have been watching several on facebook the last few months, and it seems that because of the ease of FB petitions that they can get a mass of votes very very quickly, and surprisingly, the people who need to, Listen! Maybe some good can come of social networking after all! The most recent one I saw was the banning of megga trawlers in Australian waters. Edit: spell correction

Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?
Seth Ananda replied to RiverSnake's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
One of the True goals of Magick, Alchemy and the entire Western tradition is Immortality. This is achieved by what is sometimes called the First Wedding which is the permanent fusing or joining of the Soul and the Spirit. I personally believe this is the same as fusing the Hun and the Po souls. In the western traditions and elsewhere, we have several souls, that are held together by the body, but if we dont do the work, they seperate after death, bringing about forgetting and rebirth. This was seen as a disaster for the Individual in the old traditions... lol. -
Ritualistic Magic? Whats the point?
Seth Ananda replied to RiverSnake's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
For the vast majority of CM's out there, they Never had the sacredness of life to begin with. it seems to draw in the young dispossessed postmodernist wanderers, and the older practitioners with a rebel chip, who are both looking for something new, but cant stomach having to conform to any dogmas, of any kind, ever... Some get more sense of the sacred, some loose what little they had {these tend to be the Morons in my book}. The good ones I know got more, and enough to eventually pick up real practice in a traditional path of some kind... -
Marijuana Use Tied to Testicular Cancer Risk!
Seth Ananda replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
Marijuana is an interesting plant. Animals rub wounds against it for the pain killing effect, but it seems to act as a 'freeze time' in the personal evolution time line for human beings. I have seen very very few exceptions. It expands peoples minds {mildly} in the early days of smoking, there are flashes of insight, and mild psychic experiences, and it gets them thinking about the possibility of 'evolution' but that is all I have ever seen come of it. They spend a lot of time thinking about evolving, rambling on about conspiracy theories, and almost no time actually evolving. The long term pot heads I know [round 20 years] are exactly the same as back then. they say the same stuff, wear the same clothes, do the same things, while the world around them changes and moves on... Time seems to have literally frozen on them. I find it a sad and disturbing state of affairs. -

Meditation and Suggestibility- Placebo or Real Occurrences?
Seth Ananda replied to Aaron's topic in General Discussion
Very True. In fact some would say we are all hypnotised and are all constantly being hypnotised. For instance we live in a culture that constantly presents its 'reality' to us, and the end result is we 'think' that our culture is Normal. that is a superb piece of mass hypnosis at play. The wonderful book - Monsters and Magical Sticks - which anyone interested in Hypnosis should familiarise themselves with covers these topics in depth. And dispels hypnosis myths, such as: 1.) You need to be in trance to be hypnotised. Blatantly not true. Hypnosis can happen through a simple sentence. Just look at Derren Browns street shenanigans... 2.) Some people can not be hypnotised. That was true, but not for the last decade at least. These days the understanding of dominant systems is very refined allowing a hypnotist to work on anyone once the figure out what systems they run on... I am not going to enter the placebo debate right now. I have been researching it and thinking on it for too long and its starting to turn my head into stew... So many variables to consider with placebo... I don't have a clue where I stand with the subject... I have been planning to write an article on it for the Bums consideration though when certain things make more sense to me... -
