No the hold is just after the inhale, not after the exhale. One holds and focuses on the 3rd eye. then sssss.. Yes its about the same, but they don't count or anything during it, so it doesnt have to be exactly the same... Glad you are liking it

Are intimate relationships important?
Seth Ananda replied to Cat Pillar's topic in General Discussion
I would say yes, it is a mistake to close off the possibility for having an Intimate relationship, if one is not an ascetic yogi. But that does not mean one should rush in to any old thing just because it turns up. There are lots of really defunct people out there, and being in a relationship with them would probably teach a lot but would bring no joy. Who wants that? I am personally very cautious and fussy when considering a new relationship, and am never in a hurry. I enjoy being single untill the right one appears, and sometimes that one takes years. I am friends with all my previous lovers and feel very grateful to all of the women who have blessed my life as greatly as they have. I feel that some of the greatest learning comes from having a relationship. All of a sudden all ones so called 'calm' gets tested by another being, and one gets to grow in the areas your partner may excel at, but that you may be behind in. I love Relationships! -
Just a breath in, which tends to be a little longer than usual, because of the darth Vader rasp, which restricts air flow partially, and held to the edge of discomfort, or a second longer. Trust yourself with it. If you are used to breath retention practices, hold as long as you feel. And no, this is not a store energy anywhere practice, it is a circulation practice, where the energy is constantly moving around the spine and brain, as if the MCO channel was shrunk down to fit the front and back of the spine, instead of down the front of the body... After a while you'll feel it passing each vertebrae as it goes, and a host of other sensations... It becomes extremely enlivening to the spine and brain...

My balls hurt, extended whole body orgasms
Seth Ananda replied to Everything's topic in General Discussion
Excellent! This is really good progress Prolonged sex without physical release will build up congestion, as you are experiencing. So you need some Transmutation practices, to move that energy out of the ball region. The Testicle massage is good advice, and potentially focusing on the Lower Dantien, but some new people find it too close, and lack the finesse to pull energy a short distance... Are you using Big draw techniques? Does you lovemaking make use of pauses? Do you feel a lot of Love and connection with you Lover, during Love making, or is it more physical sex? Do you find it easy to ejaculate normally? [believe it or not some men can't or find it very difficult to come] -
Wow! Great Picture. I have always wanted to learn to surf. There is something so primal about it...

I am not a fan myself. The effects all seems like Mental Placebo in the minds of New agers to me. They never did anything of Interest to me.... But I didn't go in expecting it too, or not to either...

Lets not forget that some Women orgasm through anal sex. Its a very erogenous zone, and most people are dead as an old piece of leather down there, and full of fear and anxiety! Men who are uncomfortable about homosexuality have very fearfull anuses... Its no wonder there is so much prostate trouble [lower in the gay community], bowl cancer... We are all in the hangover of patriarchal societies, and its very stupid, warped ideas of what is natural, right, or Manly... A whole system of sex morality from folks who believe dinosaurs were put here to test our faith, and even the so called western 'not Christians' still carry totally Christian attitudes towards their body's, nature, Women and the world... "Not Natural" to me, seems to have subtle elements of "You'll Burn in Hell" hiding behind it! -

What??? Its been happening since the dawn of time, and much of our great art, music and philosophy we owe to them! Also have you ever had a prostate induced orgasm? Amazing! And simply amazing that nature 'chose' to put such a pleasurable gland in a mans unnatural anus. Even weirder that the rectum is just about at the same positioning height wise, as the Vagina, and just happens to be just about the same size inside as an erect penis, much like the Vagina! How unnatural! Maybe it is your beliefs that are unnatural? -

lol, I have practices that there are simply no coming back from. I won't share them online, ever, and I have not seen them in print anywhere. This is good. I share them with the few close students that I can trust wont loose their marbles, and who will be very careful with them, and even then, it gets sketchy. To enter a completely different way of experiencing and perceiving, in an extremly short period of time, with no way to turn it off once its on, is massively massively disrupting to the psyche and quite simply, can easily turn a previously healthy psyche into a schizophrenic. Dangerous stuff. This is not selfishness on my part. This is love for my fellow humans. People with little experience will never understand how dangerous some of this rarer stuff can be, and so whinging about secrets is understandable. Also I do believe there has been too much secrecy in the past, which is why I post things like the Cobra breath, and try to make most of my practices freely available In Melbourne, I do all my work by donation, and struggle to keep my practice open as a result. Online work like with Mike, I do for free. Have fun -

That would be great, but even if people know of good yoga classes, Bhajan groups, or anything that can support him better than just an online connection, then please post -

Not my style. This kind of work may need counseling elements and in my book is very very private. This is not something I will change my mind on. -
Sure! just send me a link when its done... and i wouldn't mind being able to edit it at some point, to make it a bit easier to read and understand...

What Rex said, and Being Right Here: a Nuden Dorje commentary by James Low - its a superb Intro. My favourite modern author is Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. He writes to the western mind really well, but is a fusion of Dzogchen/Mahamudra which I think is a good thing, but might not be your cup of tea... Also getting a transmission from the Namkhai Norbu folks is worthwhile, as they have some great private publications available and are a fun group full stop.

This can do it for sure and the rest all sounds like genuine spontaneous Kundalini awakening to me. Its good to hear you have done the medical scan so that physical/psychological problems can be ruled out. Now it gets difficult. There are many things that will work for some K cases, but do the opposite for the others. I am willing to work with you via PM's, if you can find no one else, but it would be better if you can find a physical teacher from a genuine Kundalini tradition that can sit with you. A good teacher who loves her should be able to settle her down quickly. Where do you live? now first things first. 1.) Relax and learn to enjoy the ride. It will probably be Intense at times, so learn to live with it, and to enjoy it. It will give you some of the best experiences of your life... You are now a Kundalini student, and it will enrich you in ways you could not previously have imagined... Many people spend years trying to get this to happen with no success. you are one of the lucky ones. 2.) I do suggest taking up hatha yoga [a slow variety], to loosen, open and free up your body, which may make K stronger in the short term, but also should slowly diminish negative Intensity, or 'dramatic' kriyas. 3.) Shaking practice is the worlds best K management system unless you want it to just stop, which can usually achieved, but if not, well... shaking practice!!! Bradford Keeney, Yigong, Kunlun, Ratu bagus, Subud, , all have great shaking practices, but for Kundalini maintenance I would go with Bradfords as it is so free form crazy, with a lot of noise being made. It may sound like an exorcism but it purges energetic, emotional and psychological obstacles, which are actually what causes problems when K hits them. Bradford has DVDs and CDs you can obtain to guide sessions, for practice in your room. Next you have to ask seriously yourself, whether you want this to just stop or whether you want to explore further? If it just seems too destructive/disruptive or causes to much suffering, maybe you want it to stop. But, also maybe you realise how amazing it can or could be, when you learn to work with her - and the evolution it represents for you personally... the blue pill or the red pill? There will be very different advise coming depending on your decision. As for my credentials, if you feel you need to trust the source, I have studied Tantra [a Kundalini tradition] for 17 years, I initially went through K awakening alone, and i ran a Kundalini support group with a friend here in melbourne for several years, and successfully helped {and still do privately} many people learn to deal with Kundalini. Peace my friend.- 202 replies
