thanks for those links TI. Yes the experience did go away. I have done extensive meditation in the past to try to get back to it, but no success. For me it had an exact location, and was far far smaller than a pea or seed, It was more like an Atom. Every time i 'became' it fully, or maybe I should say every time i dropped body consciousness, there was a really peculiar telescoping effect as awareness rushed inwards past the subtle bodies.... And it really did feel like I had found the absolute root of 'personal being' but it felt like something I had had through all my lives. I didn't remember any past lives while being there as it wasn't giving up the goods on that front. It definitely had an 'intelligence' of its own [far greater than mine], and while it was allowing me to experience life from its point of view, it also kept some things closed to me... Hard experience to describe. Its location seemed crucial to, to the body's survival. Sitting in the right atrium of the heart, it felt like it supplied the hearts life force and fed life to the blood as it passed through... The only good reference to it that I have found was in Swami Yogeshwaranand Saraswati's book called, Science of the Soul. I am running late for school, so I will post some quotes from it later thanks again, and anyone got any Vedic references to it?

Thanks Tibetan Ice. Could you give me some Info on good resources about the indestructible drop? Books, links, anything? I don't mind what tradition. One of my still most profound experiences, was getting to spend 3 days with total awareness of being the spark deep in the right atrium. To me it seemed as if I had found the end of the rope [of my personal being] so to speak. It was a tiny atom like golden spark of pure awareness, it felt as though all awareness was flowing from it, but it was capable of concealing itself behind layers of psychic haze... As the source of awareness I could only see it because it was looking in every direction at once, including at it self from every other part of itself lol. I could feel/percieve a number of increasingly dense subtle bodies between it and my physical body, but unfortunately I did not have time to explore them, as it was busy showing me other things to do with my life here.. It showed me the future several times in perfect clarity, and with perfect accuracy... I also remained fully conscious of being it while sleeping at night, and after 3 days when it began to recede from my [lol its] awareness I was in a near panic to not loose it... Anyone that wants to chime in feel free Even if people just know different names for it in different traditions, that is still useful.

I used to practice something my teacher called 'Sinking to Aether' which I later found was very similar to yoganidra. Basicly one would sweep ones body with a progressive relaxation over and over, and refuse to fall asleep. It would take hours. I would get so relaxed I would think I couldn't possibly let go more, then I would start feeling tensions in my organs, or deep pains... sweep again, "big toe relaxing, big toe relaxing..." Then the magick would happen. All sense of my body would disappear and instead my whole being would be felt/perceived as energetic fields of Information. I learned so much about myself, my structure, every time i did this. Not small levels of learning but real Inner revolutions... Its like in the Aether space I had no block between conscious/unconscious and all Info was just there... In that space I pierced the knot in my second chakra, and to this day I can still orgasm at will for as long as I want just by focusing there... I can't really practice it much these days being a householder, as I am often too tired to not fall asleep, or my daughter is jumping on me, or partner nudging me... lol excuses excuses...

Again, what a pile of rubbish! Your ideas are rubbish! Why can't you understand that Hinduism is not one gloriously unified whole? the Vedas contain different and often conflicting teachings. Different Upanishads contain different teachings and many traditions follow some or even one, but not the Others. This is not a subtle philosophical difference that can be argued. This is just the physical reality of Indian Traditions. Different Traditions use the word Brahman for different and sometimes conflicting things to other traditions... Is your edifice of be[lie]fs so strong that you cant even consider a possibility outside of how you 'think' things are? Where is your 'deep and inquiring mind, ready to challenge any belief, including your own' that should have come from your wonderful realizations of Undivided Light? I'll spell it out again. Brahman in one school = God... Brahman in another school = not God, but timeless presence... Advaita usually leans towards the second. I know its hard for you because you think in absolutes, but some schools may even 'utilize the teachings from the first school, as a temporary aid while focusing on the second' - Shudder, what deluded idiots! Take some Advaitin schools, that focus on the I AM first, getting its sense stabalized as quickly as possible so that the student knows exactly what it is, and then moving beyond it! Thats what Nissagardata did with his students. Stabilize the I AM then realize that even that is an object/experience and move beyond...

{Pulls hair out in frustration} I dont know why I bother trying to converse with you. Maybe because I think that you are smart enough to be good at this stuff, if you just put your BS interpretations of the world aside for a minute. As has been said, over and over again, by me and several others in this thread, is that most or at least many Advaitans do not see Brahman as a creator, or as active in the world in any way. Get that through your thick skull. Brahman is not a creator, but is pure presence, beyond movement, opposites and time. We all get that you have a problem with the Hindu's who believe that Brahma is other than this, like a creator with a body and a bunch of heads, or a Great Creative Spirit behind all things, but they are different people, following different sects and teachings. Start using your brain and realize the diversity of the often conflicting views in the Hindu traditions...
-
Again this post, is based on your minds theorys, and has nothing to do with how Advaitins describe Brahman. To a realized Advaitan, Brahman is pure presence, beyond Time, and all opposites and extremes. To say Brahman 'believes' something is to imply it thinks or has cognizance. That is totally ridiculous, except if in your thinking you have a bunch of ideas and beliefs that say: "Brahman is a creator being/great spirit and there is no way I will accept that there is any other category people would use for Brahman being of a different nature to this" - lol which pretty much sums up your point of view...
-
Hmm, if you use just that definition [which some of the Upanishads definitely use] you are then missing Most of the Advaitic teachings which are pretty much like how you describe Undivided light. Where Brahman is beyond time, movement, opposites... Now one has to remember that many schools use the word Brahman in different ways. In some schools Brahman is simply Transcendent [from our unreal human perspective] and the world is simply dreamlike nothing... In some Brahman is Both Transcendent and Immanent in that it is beyond everything, unmoving, yet the source of the illusory display of dreams we call the world... And finally some seem more Immanent or 'Great Spirit' like, as you describe... You say undivided light is the True self, and that is what the first school I listed would say as well. Because you are both talking about the same thing...

Really? Have you seen those disabled artists who paint with their feet? Amazing! Its just a matter of having enough awareness in them for long enough, to really turn them on. Most of us are very top heavy, awareness wise. {As in we get around with more of our awareness above the belly button}
-
I practice a lot of Taiji stepping. A teacher told me years ago that we should have as much awareness in our feet as we have in our hands, and I really took that on board. Not there yet, but I am a lot closer, and am really aware of what my feet are doing and exactly where they are going - Hacky sack helps too Would Bosu help with this goal? What do you use it for?

That seems to be the problem in these communications. You have a few loose faulty ideas about what 'Brahman' is, Rather than actually knowing what its experience actually is. Then you go talking about it as if you know all about it and have surpassed it... No one describes Brahman as having these qualities {usually there are always a few exceptions a person may dig up} But They do describe Brahman as Having these qualities... I am pretty much convinced now that you have no Idea what you are talking about. You are an intelligent intellectual with good cut and paste skills, lots of premature conclusions and a lousy ability to research things that might challenge your conclusions. I think you are afraid to challenge your own Ideas {as you constantly admonish others to do} because you are a writer. You have written a book with these ideas in it, so now you can't let yourself discover that some of your Ideas are mistaken... It turns you into a broken record. It seems funny that you are here teaching Hindu ideas [badly] as if they were Buddhist Ideas, and that is not meant to denigrate either tradition. As an experiment, go over to the Vedic subforum, drop the 'Buddhist' language and start talking about the state you go on about. I imagine your reception will be very different as most of them 'know' the state you are talking about!
-
Ok thats one question off the list, so Buddhist Alaya Vijnana = Hindu I AM state, thanks... But the rest does not really answer my other questions... Would you oblige me with simple answers in your own words to these few questions? It's the only way I can think of to be sure, step by step, that we are on the same page in understanding these concepts... 1. What is your {not someone else's} experience of the I AM/Alaya Vijnana? How certain are you that you experienced the IAM stage clearly? What was it like for you? 2. When you say you have passed the IAM into something Higher, what is that like? In your words and experience how is it different to the I AM state? How sure are you that it is completely different to the I AM? Based on what? If you can satisfy some of the critical minds here that you know - experientially - what you are talking about regarding the different stages/states, then we all may reach a more meaningful dialogue. So far we have just been going round in circles. You say: "Undivided light is beyond the I AM" and cut and paste a few quotes... Someone else says: "no your just talking about the I AM" because it sounds like that to us... You say: "No..." and so it goes... If you can show that your experiential and personal experience of the I AM is clear, then you may be able to get better quality dialogue here as to whether your 'beyond' is really different to the I AM. In other words if people here can go: "Oh, yes he really knows the I AM state clearly, that is definitely the I AM that he is talking about", then it will be easier for them entertain the possibility, that when you say you found something that is beyond the I AM, that you may actually know what you are talking about...

Vmarco posted some really Interesting things with that Bodri article. I would like to not write the Ideas off to quickly without deeper analysis. He is saying [and please correct me if I am wrong Vmarco] that the Alaya Vijnana is the same as the IAM state. That sounds very feasible to me considering the descriptions of both states. Next he is saying is that he has personal experience of the IAM/alaya state. And then, that he has gone beyond the IAM state, and is describing how the new state is different to the IAM state. I think it would be wise to get clear about the specifics. Vmarco if you are willing, would you please give us a detailed description of your experience with the IAM state? If it can be clearly seen that you have a solid footing in your understanding of what the IAM is, [experientially] then your claims to have moved past it, into something deeper will hopefully be taken or looked more seriously...

Informers question contained an element of how do I know if it is my ancestor or a demon? I say approach all the beings you meet in the same way you meet humans. Intuition and careful observation serve best. There is no cut and dry category that says - 'All beings of such and such a nature are demons, and all demons act in this particular way all the time...' Actual regular experience will quickly cure one of such errors for it is just not a black and white issue. Also there are Humans that act like demons, and ones that act like saints, and funnily enough that is also how it is on the other levels. As above so below, as below so above... There are so many different kinds of beings that I am not sure I would even bother with the word demon for most, and any categorising system is purely arbitrary. Demon is a fairly loose term multiculturaly... It could mean pure evil or just a being that always serves itself first, It could be from the pits of hell or just a spirit that doesn't like you personally, A wandering po that has lost its mind might be called a demon by some, and simply a crazy lost po by others... And again, there are so many different spirit categories in different cultures, and they dont all fit neatly together... Its a weird world out there
-
Just treat them like people. When you meet a person, what does your Intuition tell you? What are they like? What tendencies do they encourage in you? Do they want you to do things you wouldn't feel right about? How do you feel after you spend some time with them? Points to remember: Like friends in this world, make friends in the others, and do things for them regularly, without always asking for something in return. I find this easiest with Beings I naturally like. They can detect your sincerity, and things go a lot smoother with beings you have developed a relationship with, often in surprising ways... Some entities will feed you a surplus of energy initially to get you to keep coming back, to cement the relationship, but then they start to draw energy from you, or their requirements [offerings] start to far outweigh the positive returns... Some 'demons' are purely hostile and 'seem' to have no interest in you. Some 'demons' are very open to Interacting, and are honest enough, as long as you fulfil your ends of any arangement made... Some 'demons' are less honest, and may try to get you to do things for them before they do their thing, which they never carry out. Apart from whatever you do or give to call them, never enter a bargain that Involves you doing your part first... Always carry out your part of any deal to the letter, not doing this once is usually enough to make sure you never make this mistake again... Interacting with demons can be very toxic to the psyche. Sometimes just associating with them can bring out demonic tendencies in your self. This can give unparalleled opportunities for personal growth and self knowledge, or it can turn you into an evil little shit... [hopefully just for a period] be warned... There are lots of different kinds of beings, many who are happy to relate and exchange with humans. Obviously that means that certain beings have preferences for certain things over others when it comes to pacts. For instance there are very refined loving Nature spirits, and there are also nature spirits who are a bit darker, and want Blood offerings for their services... Same goes for the probably thousands of variety's of spirits in existence... Some want {or maybe respond is a better way to say it for these lighter beings} to loving attention, some want sexual energy, some want food, some want music or smells, some want blood, some want sacrifice, some want certain actions in the world... Some beings have such high refined vibrations that any time with them is deeply spiritually uplifting/healing/rewarding... They rarely 'want' anything, but if you do 'feed' them love and appreciation, they will surely return their own high frequency love and attention to you...

Thanks Vmarco, I found this to be a very Interesting post. It was also the easiest post of yours to read and understand that I have read so far. Is Chogyam Trungpas quote just the first paragraph part? If so congratulations on Improving your writing style So to be clear you are saying that, the I AM state is the Alaya Vijnana, {which makes sense to me} but like Nissagardatta says, when you go beyond seeing even consciousness as some real thing to be identified with, you are coming to the real truth, something beyond definitions, beyond opposites, and this is what you call undivided light? The whole Shentong/Rangtong/cittamatra thing is very Interesting. In the 7 day Longchen Gar retreat I did, Changling Rinpoche described them as useful tools and said that is how most masters have seen them. He said westerners can get confused, because each set of teachings write as an absolute, even though in many cases the authors know that it is not the whole truth. They do this to help the student have faith in the view they are learning. He said, Asanga created the Chittamatra school and is a Bodhisattva of the 3rd Bhumi. Nagajuna created the madhyamaka and is a Bodhisattva of the 1st Bhumi. Don't let there attainments confuse you, Nagajuna created a better school but Asanga was a better Yogi... But Both Great Bodhisattva's... He then said that Most of the great teachers since then, start out as Rangtong, but when they hit a point where they can't go any further with it, they switch to Shentong. His teachers, one being Dilgo Khyentse did this. He said that Rangtong is highly recomended for beginners, as they can too easily misinterpret Shentong teachings and fall into eternalism. Nagajuna for instance, who's works are usually considered Rangtong, went Shentong in the end, and wrote his work 'Praising the Dharmadhatu' which is on Dharmadhata's {a great shentong master} commentary on the Heart Sutra... [if I am reading my notes correctly] Some teachers believe that mind only can be a great vehicle to reach 3rd Bhumi for certain students, but to be dropped in favour of Rangtong at that point, but when Rangtongs developmental steam runs out, to switch to Shentong, as many many of Tibets great masters did...

It means I cant accept that Drew can give every woman everywhere an Orgasm just by flexing his pineal near her, with out further proof! -

Ok, first in my Tarot example, she asked me, so there was an interaction and she was receptive. She was not an oblivious stranger, not even aware of my presence, bending over and facing away from me. Do I believe someone with very developed skill could force their energy into another, and make something happen? Yes, I have seen it happen. It is an Invasion and without permission. But this is not what drew is describing. he is saying it happens 'in concert' with him. Second, Sure there may be receptive people people in McDonalds, or the occasional woman who just happens to be 'open' to having an O at a D when she walks by Drew, but this is not what drew Describes. Drew describes himself as running round like Orgasmo, giving Os at a D to every woman Every where... Now he obviously didn't say that but in his descriptions he squirts his pineal juice at every woman in range and every one of them is 'Receptive' and has an O at a D. This does stretch the limits of my belief so I am asking for some proof for this massive claim - That drew, from his parents basement, can give an orgasm to every woman everywhere, as long as they are in range... I won't believe him till I see it. Sorry for having a brain... And I do not believe I am the final Authority on the subject. It is just the way I understand the process is the way everyone I have spoken to, that has experience with it, also finds the process. If Drew really can do it, I am Intrigued... And as far as Hagars description goes: I have had this experienced this as well. But this is very different to what Drew describes. For one, in most retreats I have been to, everyone becomes very receptive and energetically Intimate with each other... At one retreat In particular, we all became so energetically emmeshed to the point that if one person started to climax Internally, It would set off a chain Orgasm reaction throughout the group... So I also know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of O at a D, and the state of receptivity I/we were in. Your average shut down person in McDonalds is in no such space. And before you ask me if No 'shut down' people can experience it, they can, i believe, through lifes mysterious workings, sometimes it is their time, grace descends, or the presence of a teacher they go and see who they are at least partially open too. In Siddha Yoga, Muktananda triggered maybe tens of thousands of people into at least similar experiences, but those who were truly closed, felt nothing an walked out. Drew seems to say he doesn't have this problem, and I don't believe him till I see proof. It doesnt have to be visual. If an impartial TB woman went to visit him, she could confirm it for me... -

I would like to see less criminal charges as well, but i think we need an Eco Gestapo for a period. I want to see total accountability from environment raping CEO's and corporations. Imagine how much company's would clean up there act if the government started handing out Death sentences for serious crimes against the earth!? I don't support capital punishment of course, but I think what these company's are doing to our planet, Is far worse than what some get life for... We have destroyed so much. Here in Aus, we have 2% of our old growth forests left. Its going to have to Stop. The Stop will have to be drastic. The Stop will piss people off. The people will bitch and moan. Then they will adjust. When a criminal does something, normally the effects are Immediate. And we sentence them. Corporations are getting away with it because the effects are not immediate. [usually] But they are helping murder millions of future generations! Is that not genocide? They are stealing the resources from our grandchildren. Is that not theft? Massive prison sentences will start sorting things out... -

I have had these experiences as well, they are not something I am unfamiliar with... Yes, absolutely. When someone plays with higher energy's and bliss frequencies, that can spill over to 'open and receptive' people. In Tantra workshops and elsewhere, for instance I have given women and a few men O at a D by looking at them from across the room. The energy was high, we were all open to each other, and I am a fairly ecstatic being, so it transfers easily. I have never had this happen with a total stranger who was not 'open' to me. The most surprising one was with a Girl who for some reason asked me to bless her Tarot cards in a new age shop many years ago. I thought "Oh well" and held them and blessed them and we both had an energetic climax. She was a total stranger, but in that moment of standing there waiting for something to happen, and trusting me to put good energy into her cards, she was receptive... I have been in Intensely ecstatic states around muggles, and occasionally I have tried to look with all that fiery bliss in their eyes, and they look away with fear... I don't find it Incredible, I find the circumstances surrounding it dubious, due to my own personal experience with the phenomena... i think that because I know what it looks like, - having seen it myself - I would be able to tell if he is really doing this to total strangers. You cant have an internal climax and not give something away, especially if it is a total surprise... Really connected sex is amazing isn't it! Blessings! -

I myself believe that full lotus is the best posture, but that doesn't mean that other postures dont work, its just that full lotus {for me} works quicker.... And it may just be the best posture for me... Also I don't think full lotus has any virtues out side of energy cultivation, as all the position requires is loose hip flexors. The gold happens when sitting in the position with even the most subtle attention to energy going on. My experience with full lotus is amazing, which is why i loves Drew's passion about the position. here is what I find superior about FL in my practice. 1) My LDT is usually warm, and if not I can warm it with a moments attention. I can get it very hot with a few minutes. But If I sit in FL, and no other position works like this for me, it gets freaking boiling almost straight away. 2) My MCO opens up by itself pretty much when I sit in this position. Doesnt really need any focus from me, I just do what ever practice I do, and it just up and starts by itself. Sure I have this happen in other positions but no where near Every time... 3) FL creates a really strong upward draw from the earth energy, and a really strong downward draw of light or heavenly chi, and the mixing of them is sublime, and for me is very amplified when i am in FL. 4) It is such a comfortable meditation position, so stable, and with all your energy points tied within an amplifying feedback loop... [sorry for sounding like drew there] It was so worth the effort {yoga Hip stretches} to be able to sit in in... 5) I dont know why, but I find it much harder to become drousy in FL as opposed to other positions... My mind is calm, alert and powerful which for a meditator is a superb bonus. -

No not competitiveness. He has been going on like this for years and he makes my BS detector go crazy. My opinion, which I would love to be wrong about, is that all he has is badly stitched together theory's, and a wild Imagination. The Noobs love him mind you, and I find this dangerous. He should not have a fan following when he has shown nothing of his alleged abilities, or is maybe suffering from some energy abberation. Whenever someone challenges him, they do not get a straight answer, they get a ten thousand word essay drawing on the most divergent sources and I call BS. I am sick of it. Can he do what he says or not? If he can, I want to see it myself. Then I will take what he says more seriously. Till then I do not trust him. I asked him for visual evidence, and he gave a ridiculously long reply about why that wouldn't work. Bull Shit! He himself lists his personal examples of Visual evidence, and then post Nitiyama as visual evidence... He is Incoherent half the time. His posts are full of assumptions, like the babys finger raising being a message about erections or that scotty or other fellow bums are pervs... Mind you despite how annoying I find him at times, I still like him, and some of his projects... But He makes it sound as if he can give any woman anywhere an Energetic Climax at any time, just by flexing his pineal gland. And he may be able to, but I want to see it. It is a massive claim that deserves backing up. Haha! -

Rubbish drew. In your many many posts, you describe how the girl was wiggling or other visually obvious signs after you had 'O at a D' her... You yourself have said along the lines of "I knew she had had an orgasm because she was squirming around..." That is you yourself gaining visual confirmation. Dont pull your old 10000 paragraph reply trick to try to avoid the spotlight. You have made big big claims. Now back them up! Stop using thousands of words to tell us how awesome you are, and show us!
