Non, I am concerned about the misogynistic undertones of your threads. I get that you are angry at women for wanting something in men that you do not have yet. But do not let your anger turn into rigid projections or you will only drive them away further. And sure, women are attracted to confidence. I know because I am confident, and yes that goes well with the ladies. When I was a teenager I was so afraid of women and what they might think of me that I would cross the road to avoid walking past an [attractive] woman. As you can probably imagine, that did not go well with the ladies. What changed? Well I started just focusing on the things I enjoy, I looked to find the things I wanted to 'Stand for' and slowly discovered my passions. I got good at these things eventually, which made me more confident. And one day I looked at myself and realised, I actually like myself and who I have become. This helped me relax more [which is a sign of true confidence] and now my life has been Blessed by the Goddess. On the Yin Yang thing, It is good that you are yin, or sensitive. That's half the cake already done. Yanging up doesn't mean you cease being Yin, its just a further development of your qualities. A Yang male who is cocky loud and Insulting will never really be able to make the Goddess melt and Open {tantricly speaking} but sure, certain women with less character development will still be attracted to Him. Usually women who are afraid of going or being taken deeper. That's fine for them at the stage they are at, but you do not need those women. Most women crave Confident/ yang qualities in a man but also want to feel his heart and sensitive side as well. In terms of getting your yang on, Have you tried acting and dress up, which can have a ritual magic like aspect to it? The western tradition would diagnose you as being low in Mars and Solar energies. The remedy would be along the lines of: *Wear Reds, yellows and gold. [or anything that makes you feel more fiery and Yang] *Get some Bling with Gold, rubies, garnet, sulphur, Iron... *Eat Spices, chilli's, garlic... *Prey to or Invoke some Fiery Martial and Solar gods... *Take up a martial art that jumps around and shouts a lot... *Learn to express your anger without that whingy victim tone. *Go and do some African drumming and play it loudly first thing each morning. *Anything that sticks you out of your 'Yin only' comfort zone... If any Chinese medicine people object and say that this will unbalance your Liver chi, tell them loudly to "STFU! I need to do this!" [despite the fact they may actually be right] Some times all it takes is the superficial change of looking different. Suddenly you can be someone different. That's magic, a change within the psyche. Any way Even if you did this for only a month, you would experience radical change without turning into an Hot headed ass-hole. If you lived in melbourne I would happily have you come stay for a week, and well... lol. Yang Up! Respek! Seth. Wait! Here is a days schedule. Wake up- Drum! [beat it hard] 10 mins of fire breath then some stretching. eat breackfast. Oats with apple, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Put on your bright red outfit and thick sulphur chunk necklace. Do some sun prayer or meditation. Go to some kind of screaming class or crazy shaking session - [must be highly vocally expressive] Eat a Lamb Kebab. digest a bit. Go to a kick boxing ring where you can pad up and then punch on with someone. Awesome! Do more Solar/Mars prayer. Throughout the day say hi to every girl that walks past and give her a card with your Number, and 'tell' her to call. Eat a Hot chilli dinner. Hit the town, Do a line of coke [once], talk to everyone. Go Home Late and play your drums like crazy till someone calls the police. Change around whatever suits and Just do it. Seth.

Discussion on Opening, "Body Armor" etc
Seth Ananda replied to Sloppy Zhang's topic in General Discussion
I guess the Feeling and Sensing could be fairly interchangeable in what I am talking about, as long as that 'Sensing' means that the 'Feeling' component of it is Deeply activated. Feeling is sometimes described as an atrophied sense organ that should be as strong or even stronger than sight. The other thing to mention is that as ones ability to 'feel' develops, so do all the other senses. In some Tantric schools Feeling was the most Important sense, as It is the one sense that is present in all stages of consciousness and samadhi. In the western schools, there is a great deal of teaching on a subject usually referred to as Impressions. Students would sit around for hours, contemplating Nature, great Art, an amazing music piece, a naked woman, or geometric forms. The aim was to start to Feel the subject deeply, thus awakening the souls mode/organs of perception. As one feels these things, other levels of sensing start to add to it. Impressions are dynamic colourful, scented and audible 'beings' in their own right. But that other stuff is just candy on top of the feeling level. A student that would/could not let themselves feel and started to get visual or other sensations would start to get heady and unbalanced, and would be returned to strong physical labour of some kind. Big Love! -
Discussion on Opening, "Body Armor" etc
Seth Ananda replied to Sloppy Zhang's topic in General Discussion
Hey Sloppy, I am not sure what to say but this stage can last for years. I myself am still in it, but I navigate it a lot better than I used to. There are several things that can help a lot, but for me now I just have to meditate. Really I do not have much choice. I need to spend quite a bit of time daily just sitting, feeling all the present vibrations within my body and environment and breathing deep and smooth. It is a slow process of unravelling contractions and grasping, and learning openness. The other things that help are: Clean Living space. Right association. [avoiding douche-bags and other ignoramuses unless you have work/service to do with them] plenty of time out doors, soaking up all the harmony fields of nature. Good exercise and stretching. Good food. Right Living... {all the awesome understandings you have on how to relate well, live well...} regular body work. lol, all pretty standard wellbeing magazine advice. To me this stage entirely hangs on one simple thing and that is Feeling. when we start energy work, we start feeling energy, then we start feeling our contraction, then we start practising letting go of contraction and opening up more. The result of this is that we start to feel not just the Impressions of the outside world but also our 'inner' content. Both have Huge ramifications, and once begun there is no going back. This is why traditional schools had so much secrecy. Teachings really can cause straight up Hell for people. I know processes that are so powerful they can totally turn a persons entire way of seeing and experiencing the world inside out. I am not exaggerating. The shock to the system is just too much, and far too close to straight up Insanity. All these teachings were originally closely guarded secrets, and still I have only ever found tiny portions in print. This is good, and I would never share them with someone I did not know, as I am not cruel. All of them though hang on feeling. Feeling is the most undervalued sense but really it is [in some ways] possibly the most Important. Feeling takes us through and out of everything. Just stay with it, breath, feel, let go, feel, breath, and also try to remember that you? are the space it happens within, or remember any model that lets you become larger but inclusive of each experience. You are in the process and will have to just keep going till clear and open is totally natural. So the news is sort of Bad but also Good. I am up late, and tired and beginning to wonder if I am making any sense or expressing my thoughts the way I mean them, so good night. Blessings! -
at the moment I do 45 mins to an hour+ morning and night, and aim for many 're drop in' moments any time I get the chance. Also I aim to meditate during my various activities as much as possible. Some times I did far less when I started, and sometimes I did far more. I always follow my self.

Semen Retention is awesome! Go for it. If you are planning to ejaculate every 4 times it should not be much of a problem that you do not meditate. Many lazy westerners find Semen retention to difficult to really master, and then go against the roots of their own traditions, saying stupid stuff like it has no benefits, or will turn you into sexually psychotic killing machine. They are flailing around in the dark, convinced they know how to cultivate. lol. Time will tell. As long as you find good instruction on dealing with any side effects that emerge, you will be fine. Ahhaha, well hows my condescending tone for the morning? I must have woken up on the wrong side of bed. I think Semen retention is of critical importance for many traditions, and If you can not feel the positive effects of it, you are just not as developed as you think you are

Amrita is produced after Kundalini 'charged' spinal fluid reaches the mid brain, then sits there for days, while your brain glands pump their juices into the charged CSP. Once these mix together, it Turns into Amrita which is a physical fluid, the way water is physical. It seep down through the soft palate. If you are still it will drop onto the back of your tongue, and is the sweetest taste Imaginable. If you are not still you will probably just collect it with your tongue. Either way It is Utterly astonishing in its effects on the human psyche, and any one experience of it will last at least months and is comparable in Intensity to Several smokes of Dmt, but without any trippy distortion. It is not some field that might 'hover' at your ming mien. And it is not some happy gland sensation from chi work.

lol, forget what a political mouth piece like moncton says and just have a look. There are far more natural disasters in the last 10 years than in a very long period, and It is only escalating. Chipmunks are wise to prepare for winter. Moncton is famous for trying to claim his work is peer reviewed, but the only [at least at the time] ones who had done one, was his own company that he was head ceo of. He is another Idiotic champion of 'progress at any cost' and stands against the Idea that anything is wrong environmentally, or at least that humans can do anything about it if there is a problem.

Cow Tao, Id advise not Islanding it or seting up anywhere at sea level unless global warming miraculously goes away. The future forecast for equatorial and coastal regions is bigger, stronger and more and more frequent cyclones, tsunami's, volcanic activity, sea level rise... But it does look beautiful though doesn't it. Palm tree meditation

Hey no problem with any of that ShaktiMama I helped run a Kundalini support group here in Melbourne for a number of years, and most of the people there were other spontaneous's as well. And sure, especially in spontaneous awakening and in people from crap schools, Kundalini can seem like fire and will act that way on the system. Also In many many people, the first awakening will also feel like fire, but Ignorant fear mongers here are saying that Kundalini 'Is Fire' and the best thing you can do is reduce it before it consumes your life force. To me that makes it seem like they had a spontaneous awakening and/or studied in a possibly traditional but crap school and never learnt to manage It, nor discovered any of its secrets. That position gives them no grounds to make an authoritative statement on the superior nature of Taoist energetics over Kundalini practices... [well maybe some K practices] And yes Kundalini awakening unfortunately is a Badge of accomplishment that many people wear, and also many people confuse 'any' energy in the spine with having an awake Kundalini. As one example look at the Ipsalu Tantra people. {new agey I know} but they do their pelvic thrusty 'ooh' exersise which is loosly based on a traditional practice, and does activate very strong pleasurable second chakra sexual feelings, and when all this juice is built up, they draw it up the spine with a cobra breath. After a while all this orgasmic pleasure is cycling through the spine, sometimes causing shuddering Kriya's as pleasure hitting contraction is likely to do, But then they are claiming to have awakened Kundalinis. Rubbish. The students and Teachers in this tradition probably genuinely believe it is K at work, but will be in a very hard spot to help if one of their students ever actually 'pops'. These myths need to be dispelled if we are to ever have a clear understanding of a miraculous process that is native to the Human psyche and its evolution. Blessings!

I am hearing some TCM elitism and plain rubbish from several members. Giving a diagnosis of the Indian system from the viewpoint of the Chinese system as if it is somehow the absolute authority on energy science is not cool. If someone studied a traditional kundalini system and then moved over to the chinese system, and preferred it chinese, this in no way means they have anything but a subjective opinion based on their personal experience. If that person instead said - "I believe it's like..." or, "to me it always seems like..." Then that is much cooler and avoids spiritual elitism. In my own experience Kundalini is an amazing force. It is not fire but it feels that way when it hits resistance. It can amplify psychic content massively but this is easy to work through if your school/teachers are half decent. The chakras do blossom in face of it, and seriously major visionary states emerge. To say it drys up the body is ridiculous, as if anything it makes it more juicy as it cleans and nourishes the organs and nervous system. And a key point in all old schools is that it creates Amrita = A physical liquid that brews in the mid brain then secretes down through the soft palate. I tend to think that if there is no Amrit, then its not Kundalini, but just energy moving around. My personal thoughts tend to be: MCO and sacral/cranial pumps are not Kundalini. [but may trigger an actual raising] Anyone who claims to have mastered Kundalini in the west is just lying, probably hoping to impress Hippy Chicks, Unless they can telepath at will, know anything on any subject, Walk just as easily with god beings as with the old lady crossing the road,... you get the point. Chakras are not just meridian points, but psychological centres of Intelligence, the bottom 3 for terrestrial life, the top 3 for spiritual and psychic navigation and the heart as the love that encompasses both personal life and transcendent existence. Kundalini cleans the chakras, but in no way destroys the personality. Kundalini is actual 'spiritual' energy, not just chi, and not in that 'well everything is spiritual man' kind of way. Real Kundalini precipitates a major spiritual awakening [possibly crisis] that causes a complete turn around of perception and ones value systems. Lets not cheapen the concept of 'Mystical Experience' any further. If it turns someone into an egomaniac, it means their school/teacher is sub par, no matter how many qualifications they hang on their wall. They are simply not being shown how to manage it. Just because you have orgasmic blissful surges of light up your back or circulating through your being does not mean your Kundalini is awake. Sorry I know everyone wants to feel Included, as Kundalini awakening these days is seen as a token of how spiritual you are, but Its just not like that. Some very spiritual people, who may do amazing energy work may have never really opened Kundalini. And yes, some people who did open it, may have very little ability to use energy. All that said, I doubt that I or anyone, will ever be completely sure about the subject. There are too many grey areas to have a totally fixed opinion. Great Blessings!

Yeah! I am a fan of communal living. I have stayed at many communities around Australia (both good and bad) and the good ones are really great. The ones that last and function well are either centred around... *a charismatic leader. *Money and financial goals. *a strongly held set of principles, religious or eco/social. *or some mix of these... They all have strong rules, like ## strikes and your out, no matter how much money you've invested, and that does seem to quickly cull the idiot population. They also have built in screening processes for lazy hippies that quickly remove rainbow coloured parasites... lol. I personally have liked the communities with a shared spiritual belief and a decentralised power structure the most, but there are still some great ones not like this. The work together on the communal projects is very fulfilling and strengthens the spirit of family. I think today so many people are starved of meaningful employment, and if that's the case then get your ass out of the city and on to a commune - but be selective...

Stimulating Healthy Spiritual Transformation
Seth Ananda replied to RiverSnake's topic in General Discussion
For me, the best way to bring on a spiritual experience was to pick a method and just keep doing it till something happened... lol. I took this Very seriously in my early days. For instance, I would stay in my room except for occasional short toilet/food missions, and just chant. I had great Love for God, so my chanting was all of a devotional context. Also I would add some number of energy movement practices, like 4 middle pillar meditations a day, or constant pranic breathing, and 1 hour of fire breath 3 times a day. I sometimes kept this up for months at a time. What can I say? Something always happened... Not always what I expected, but something... I do not feel like I need such excesses any more, as I live in a state of at least partial constant communion with the Universe. But I am supremely happy with everything I did. People often warn of the dangers of such unguided practice, but for me they made me who I am today. And yes, it was dangerous. I had several periods of total mental breakdown, Including nearly becoming a bloodthirsty cannibal of criminally insane proportions, but some how I always got out of the trouble. And every bit of the trouble was totally worth it for the learning it gave me. I think having faith in divinity really helped me out of a lot of binds as deep prayer is psychically medicinal, and I had such an Inner certainty that everything would turn out right, due to guidance. If I had not had these qualities things may have been very different. I regularly meet or hear of people who just get stuck in an experience and can find no way out. This may sound harsh, but to me it seems that many of these people do not want to face the hideous content and agonising pain that Spiritual/Kundalini experiences may bring up. I guess I am lucky in that I want to face and embrace every little detail of my Internal world. So all in all I encourage total reckless abandon to ones Spiritual path, but warn that there is No going back. You may turn something on you can not turn off. Seth. -
Ah, just done a quick recap of his work, and I would not put him entirely in the Gnostic pessimism camp... I had forgotten about all the meditation on the senses and world Inclusion stuff...

Thanks Taomeow that really gave me a chuckle... Ulises, As far as I recall he is very Influenced by Gurdjieffs teachings. In one fairly arbitrary pidgin holing, that puts him in the Gnostic pessimism corner. Positive Gnosticism Is very friendly, God is in everything, the world is divine and evolution is Inevitable if we stay open. {they do do serious practice as well} Gnostic pessimism on the other hand was not particularly Happy. God was removed from the world, Humans are not even Human till through hard work they earn the Human soul. In fact they may just be sleep walkers that produce awareness to be siphoned off by near bye developing planetary bodys like the moon. Every attempt would be made to awaken to the 'Horror of the Situation' and to learn to become disgusted by Unawareness. Learning happens through a series of Shocks. Both schools are Valid, and both produced Great Mystics. Another point, is that in the old western traditions, conquerors were sometimes revered. The Idea was that everything is an expression of the world soul [anima mundi] and its evolution. They were not seen like Great Saints who in Kabalistic terms had attained Hesedic consciousness, but they were Great souls and sat squarely in Gevuric [mars] consciousness. This explained the Incredible Intuition/Luck and charisma that permeated Alexander the great, Napoleon, and others. The world soul was moving them as they were tools for humanity's evolution [they carried new Ideas with them]. This does not mean they were Karma free. And once they had done what was needed they were simply dropped. I do not know if that rambling answers anything, but Have fun! lol. [thats my positive gnostic bent]

I have read all his books. Why do you have mixed feelings about the connected dots? He basicly starts with the founder [as far as written evidence goes] of a way of thinking, and then jumps to each person who used that thought mode and developed it further. Its Obviously very connected, and not in a David Ikke- These two names add up to 4 so they were really the same person!- kind of way Seth.

Will I also get a crazy set of Hindu God arms? I want that spinning disc that floats round Vishnu's finger and cuts the head of anyone he points at... ...And Shiva's 'stamina' if you know what I mean... lol. Seriously though I would be very careful contemplating doing that much of anything...

Ejaculation, Body armouring & Retention?
Seth Ananda replied to Seth Ananda's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Cat On the whole body de-armouring thing, I am a huge Fan of pleasure as my number one tool. Reichs body work was/is very painful at times and I do not think that this is necessary when somatic/pleasure/movement is so easily available and just melts through rigidity... and feels great! I look forward to watching your links in detail shortly though... Enjoy
