Ejaculation, Body armouring & Retention?
Seth Ananda replied to Seth Ananda's topic in General Discussion
Hi Creation, no I am not always in it, though I wish I was! I would be one hell of a Love God if my heart was always that open. What changes? Life I guess. Some times the contractions get a deeper grip... Blessings! -
I do not know if it is at all similar, but the Steel Shirt training I used to do in Yang Mian was awesome. It made me very healthy and taught my body to get very soft. It had lots of hitting the body within it. It seemed to give my defensive/protective chi a massive boost and my stress tolerance went way up. It was actually a great adjunct to the water method meditations I was doing at the time...

Heheh, my small dash of Mongolian blood loves this! It would be very tempting to just say ok, no Mozes! There goes the entire Judeo/Muslim/Christian world view. It would be fascinating to be able to see what good/bad developments we would have gone through without all that crap... -

Great! I Love TWR. -
Yep, that and the few similar stretches are Full Lotus wd-40. I cruise in lotus now, and regularly do 2 hour sits in comfort. It gets harder when I have not done the stretches for a while. If you are serious about wanting to do your meditation in FL then these are indispensable. Blessings.

Yes, my friend was a Nyingma Lama, and in his many years of training he did a 2 year tummo retreat. The begining practice was almost as simple as alwayson makes it sound, and as is described in the various books by Lamas. That seems to be the first level of tummo and is considered fine to put in writing for the general public, but there is a lot more subtlety that comes in as it gets up and running, and that requires guidance and thus is never in print in anything I have read. My favourite tummo description is in Kathleen Mcdonalds 'How to meditate' book. its short. I did love Lama yeshe's book too. I personally can always get some inner warmth going with it, but I can only really heat up my extremities and whole body when I have been avoiding ejaculation with great discipline... I am going to take up Yantra Yoga early 2011, as some teachers will be in Melbourne again, so Woohoo! My house mate does it and Is a bit of a fanatic about it [in a good way] and it looks like an awesome practice... Be Well everyone -

lol, I too am talking about his pdf which is great, simple and too the point. And yes it is a pity about the other stuff. The sexual advertizing? maybe some people want Obe's to meet chicks? lol! no its a bit strange, but do not let it detract from the good stuff in his pdf. I think obe's are fascinating. One motivation for me, is to be in the presence of great Inner level teachers [what ever they actually are?] Another is in there [more easily] I have had amazing experiences of the Natural State... Also it, by its nature, over time develops ones awareness of a space outside the 3rd dimensional time/space system. I think it may have benefits for after death training, astral sex is awesome, and its fun! I think that about covers it Seth. -
Gauss, I know there are spiritual benefits to forbearance and perseverance, but I would caution you about applying these to Full Lotus. It really is a wonderful position and to me has no equal, but it can totally mess up your knees. I know this because in my younger days I forced it and it really messed them up. Find the good hip focused stretches that are training for FL and persevere with them instead. Seriously all lotus requires is flexible hips. Flexible enough that you can fold your feet up without putting strain on your knees, cause if your hips are tight, they will cause you feet to push down, creating pressure on the knees... I tell you, after good stretching sessions I can sit in that position for hours without any discomfort during or after, in my knees. Enjoy

Ejaculation, Body armouring & Retention?

I think some cultures like in Tahiti, were straight up paradise. Survival was guaranteed, fruit and coconuts growing everywhere, fish just leaping into your nets, and volcanic soil so fertile that the little agriculture they did, meant that any vegetable just exploded up out of the soil. Mix that with a culture with zero sexual shame, polyamorous reality and no oppresive religions... Not only that community massage was a valued past time. = Very litle body armour. = open channels. lol Lets move there... -

Unknown to who? You? Obe forums seem to be very aware of him... Lol, take off your robert bruce coloured glasses and maybe you will notice he is only an authority because he made himself one, by writing the thickest book on the subject. Seriously, read his free pdf, its all over the net, on torrent sites ect, and then tell me how sophisticated you think bruce is. But once again, I am not saying that the Bruce has no value... And he has done great work promoting awareness of the subject. Happy Travels -

Sorry alwayson, but no it is not. Roberts techniques only work for some people. You seem to be one of those people, and great. Your mistake is in saying that because it worked for you it is therefore best for everyone. A book like Raduga's, [and Newports stuff by the look of it] is tailored to the many kinds of people that might wish to try it and it has many alternatives and instructions for the people who the techniques do not work for. In that way it is more 'scientific.' as it is a simple breakdown of the bare essentials, which Bruces work is not. I am not saying that roberts stuff is no good, but it piles unnecessary baggage on what is actually needed to achieve a simple projection... Seth. Happy Travels -

I personally think Michael Raduga's - School of out of Body travel, is by far the supreme book on the subject. Nothing against Robert Bruce, and I recall enjoying astral dynamics many years ago, but he adds a whole bunch of his own unnecessary elements to the process. The OBE process is 1. Relax deep. 2. Get to vibration state. 3. Exit. Now different people get better results with different exit strategies, and vibration inducers, so a variety of techniques have to be available. Raduga's work offers that in the most [scientific?] no nonsense way I have seen in an OBE work. You do not have to believe in anything, be it energy, chakras, points in your fingers or esoteric... Its just there as a variety of simple exercises that work to greater or lesser degrees depending on each person, and you experiment to see what is good for you. Seth. -
Yep. Its often called a Kriya, a physical response to an energy/consciousness movement or happening. It is energy hitting blocks in the system, and starting [via the bodys own innate intelligence] to clear them out. Just let your body do what ever weird postures/breathing/sounds it wants to. If it gets worrying at some point post more or PM me, I have helped people for years with this stuff... Have fun. Seth.

Funny topic. I smoked for years and it really damaged my health. Weird that I even started as I watched my uncle die of smoking based emphysema. He had the whole in his neck which he used to smoke through, but his lungs were so filled with tar that he basicly drowned in his own Lung juices... On the other hand I had two great grand parents that lived over 100. One was Grandpa, a vegetarian seventh day adventist, who was doing his morning exercise, [push ups, sit ups and a mile walk] up too the day he died. He was very healthy with no typical old age complications, senses in tact and comfortable in his body. He made it too 106. The other my great grand ma, on my fathers side who made it 105. She smoked from her teens till tombstone, was in and out of hospitals in her old age, and was constantly medicated for pain relief. she lost most of her mobility, her senses and her mind. I know a lot of Midwives, and none of them ever look forward to helping a smoker birth. The placenta comes out a shredded disintegrating stinking thing. [with varying degree's depending on the smoking intensity] To me that is criminal. What about the lungs? sacks made of sacks made of sacks, a seriously fractal organ that at the bottom end is fine enough to pump oxygen into blood cells? What crazy person wants to coat them with a toxic coating full of unpronounceable ingredients? Smoking is only Legal cause the gov gets to tax it, and because it makes work bearable for cattle everywhere. Now just to add heat to this debate... ... We are allowed to defend ourselves from Direct attack on our well being, But why not from an Indirect attack? A smoker smoking near you is basicly punching you in the lungs, with total selfish callousness and zero regard for anyone but them selves. I say why not Deck the fool and stub out their cig on their fore head! lol what do you all think? Too Far? And to counter Taomeows ridiculous assertions, the 'smoking is ok' research is funded bye guess who? The Tobacco company. [Tada!] There have been docco's done over the years on the incredible lengths Big Tobacco has gone to, to produce data to counter proper research. They have tried to hide their Influence and money in the many different tests that they site, but over and over again they get sprung. They really have pumped billions into the pro Tobacco movement. [naturally] Smoking Killed Bill Hicks. Sad. Over and out.

In the Kan Max challenge video there are several options. a] Kan either does not know Max and max forces him to writhe and scream = Both Honest, and Max is a living ledgend. b] Max is deluded about his abilities, but Kan is gullible/susceptible in a golden bamboo kind of way. = Both honest but fools. c] Max knows Kan prior and its a set up. = Both Dishonest. d] Max and Kan realised no one is buying the martial power from a distance thing, so they do not release that footage outside a small amount of close students, and come up with a new more plausible meeting story, Kan then realises Max is a sinking credibility ship and separates himself as much as possible from Max. = both dishonest. Any way you word it there is a video out there of Kan pretending or actually not knowing Max, and either way It conflicts with the current 'story' being told. Many people have made up healing stories to launch their career. Many also have actually healed. Something smells fishy...!?1! Seth.

This kind of disturbed me. I do not want to start another Kunlun bashing thread because I like the practice. When I did the Australian KunLun workshop recently, the teacher showed me a bunch of extra max footage [much of it not online] and Included in it is a completely different story of How Kan met Max. In that, Kan was the top martial art student of some teacher, who told him too give Max a beating on stage at one of Max's evenings. so [on film] he gets up and challenges max and rushes toward him. Max does a Mudra and Kan starts screaming and writhing on the stage... and of course later [off film] becomes max's student. As I do not believe that can be done to some one who is not your willing and energeticly sensitive Student, I had trouble with that bit of footage, as the whole thing looked staged and over acted. Now hearing a whole different meeting Max story with Shaman, I can't help but wonder wether they are just lying through their teeth... Mind you My teacher Doug who filled in the blanks about the story not on Film could have botched the chronology, and I did not watch past meeting Max with shaman on this doco, as I was feeling disturbed and annoyed at 'facts' not lining up... Has any other Kunlunners seen the Max fight footage and have a different explanation for it? It's the one with max on stage accepting challengers from the audience in japan, and Kan gets up to face him...?

Hey Orb, I do not think you can get too black and white with Internal vs External MA. Most of the great Taiji combatants had done external martial arts as well, as [i believe] is necessary. I do Taiji and used to do Yang Mian, both of which are IMA. They taught me to punch much harder in a variety of different ways, and that has translated through very nicely to my time in MMA training. They increase my balance and fluidity and connective power, which I believe is what they are for. Sanshou or any other similar art is for Combat endurance, and most Importantly, realistic combat training where you learn to apply all the other cool stuff in a litmus test kind of scenario. Both are absolutely essential. I spent years in a free style Karate school that did 40 mins of padded full contact sparring every class. I got good at being in a fight, but they did not know how to train me to strike properly. When I first felt Internal power, and the kind of shock it produced in my being on the receiving end of it, I had tears of happiness for the learning opportunity. One thing I noticed though is that my teacher, when ever he asked me to attack him, I always moved in and punched him in the head {lightly lol}. The Irony is that his punches could fold me in half, but because he didn't do any external or realistic fighting he did not have a good understanding of how to apply it. That to me is sad. It is also does not make sense to me to challenge some one who never actually practices fighting in a realistic situation. Of course they always get toasted. I really Like this clip. Its long but it shows Taiji people [and others i think] engaged in multiple discipline training. I especially like the push hands mixed up with the grappling... I hope you find something of what I say interesting, and I do think BT is an internal martial artist in the proper sense of the word. I look forward to many years of training, Taiji and sanshou or similar arts. I personally need more of a ground game before I accept any challenges, but I do want to enter some fights one day. Seth.
