That Guy, I am sorry but this is the stupidest post I have seen you write. 1. you did not really read any of the posts properly. You just hurried on to type your own ridiculous opinion. You didn't even explain your opinion clearly. 2. you claim that I can't do it on cue - How would you know? and thank you for being so scientific or that I can't do it at all and am fooling myself... Once again, how do you have this knowledge? maybe you should apply for the Randy challenge... you didn't test me with equipment so you must be psychic... and then you say- my belief in my abilities is very weak? Actually It is quite the opposite. If I did not have a strong belief I would not have risked loosing $400 a day to the transport authorities. I use my Inner knowing for so many things and it is never wrong. 3. If you had read closely what I wrote, you would see that the assertion I am making is that It doesnt matter how good we get at these skills, (or I myself) the environment set up by sceptics to demonstrate is inhospitable to clear receiving. I can and do use my talents on cue every day, but I would not do well in the lab. just having the worry of getting it wrong or having self proclaimed authority figures in cloaks sneer or judge me is sufficient to get me enough in the way of my self to fail. The second I walked out the door I would take a breath and use it just as clearly as ever... You can say - "Can not!" as much as you like but how do you know? You clearly do not even know how to read properly. Ignore the Sceptics. Find out for your Self.

Nice. Although I do not tend to think the danger sense creates what it senses. It warns us so well when we learn to listen to it. Some people get way to airy fairy with the law of attraction stuff. eg: I am putting out for money every day, then one day I find $50 bucks on the street so man I obviously attracted it, this is Proof! ... what about all the other days? But when you stop at the ticket machine every morning and feel wether you are in danger of getting a ticket, and then only end up buying 10 - 15 tickets in a whole year and on every single one of those days you have the inspector ask you for your ticket, you get to know its not just your selective perception at work helping validate whatever belief system you ascribe too...

Your not direct you are Out right hostile and aggressive. You are chucking around cultural stereotypes which are not universally true for Islam in a sneering and demeaning manner. This is Highly condescending to Islam, and please note the Tao Bums Religious tolerance rule you have just broken. I Hope you get Banned for a period till You learn some respect.

Second That! if you cant feel this, and 'think' you know something... Do more Chi Kung
-
I have been doing Spring Forrest the last few days and I have to say I am really impressed. I have learnt a number of Chi Kung practices over the years and this feels easily the best. I dont know if that would be the same for everyone but for me it is fantastic. A friend gave me the torrent downloads ages ago and I only just started with it. I am going to buy a legit set as soon as I can. Highly Recommended for anyone new to chi Kung as well for its simplicity is superb. So much Chi... Yum

Fantastic, I'll be at the next one P.S. Ill call you later you Bastard -
Thanks Ape and Thanks too Darin. I guess I am excited cause I always felt my chi move through my body, Tendons, bones and all, so I didnt know what they meant when saying things like "When the chi reaches the tendons..." but now that my chi is directly working on or influencing my tendons, I have kind of gone "Wow, what will it be like when it Really reaches my bones..." I will experiment with those exercises Darin. Also Ape, I am planning to be in sydney for a bit early next year so should be able to get a few days with you? Seth.

Second that, and That! Awesome advice. The Oxytocin link between the cervix and the nipples is huge. Also when she is in labour you can help ease the contraction pain by pressing the holes in her Sacrum, she will love you for it Good Luck!

Full-lotus only hurts when I get out of the position
Seth Ananda replied to nomad's topic in General Discussion
I totaly agree that the flexibility should come from the hips for this, Good link Vortex, But there are lots of really good Hip streches. I have been experiencing extended sits in lotus without numbness or soreness afterwards because my energy is circulating so well through the leg channels. It keeps all the blood vesels open and circulation stays happy Keep cultivating Chi! -
Cool everyone and thanks for adding the link too Drew. I guess its not as simple as Zhan Zhuang but almost. my lower Tantien has been constantly warm since the first session and all Kinds of chi adjustments are happening by them selves. I will definitely do this for a good while, and am Keen to learn the later levels. Is there a recommended time limit before beginning 2 or 3 Drew?

Attention! Letter From David Verdesi Regarding Wang Liping
Seth Ananda replied to r.w.smith's topic in General Discussion
My Friend was at this event. According to him, William was bragging that no one could get him down. Emin said to him, "Ok you have till 3, - 1, 2, 3" and attacked him on the spot. He had warning and it was not from behind. Fizix, 3 secs is why no one had the camera rolling. He had warning, just not alot. My friend said he was right up the front... -
Hmm I have meditated in half lotus for years, often for an hour or more, but Full was always a struggle for even 10 mins... Its since this jump in chi capacity that made it easy, It just doesn't cut off circulation the way it used too. I often stand first for a few minutes and let my hips and knees soak up some chi... I dont know what the chi Ball test is. Nor have I done Spring Forrest. I can see light though, and Feel the inside of my brain in great detail...?

As awareness grows, you start to be aware on the other levels, so you develop a presence on those levels. After a while you will know exactly where you (yourself not necessarily other people) will go because you are already there...

It seems to me in the various Buddhism vs everything else threads we have going here that the Arguments taking place are really Arguments between two different Faculties for Observing the World or reality. One is the Left brain style of Logic, deduction and analysis which Buddhism is very strong in. One simply looks at what one can perceive such as the Idea of a Self. where is it? Can you find it in any one thing? what about the parts of that thing? what about the things that produced that thing, and then the things that produced them and so on. Dependent Origination is very Logical, as are many of the answer's Buddhism comes up with. This is very similar to the western science approach which has the underlying assumption that you can only really know something by understanding is parts... You break it down smaller and smaller till all its secrets are revealed (hopefully). This way of perceiving has brought us amazing advances in many areas of life and is really good. The other way or lens for viewing the world is with the Intuitive Faculty itself. I think its the more Right brain approach. It (seems to me) to deals more in Wholes rather than the tiny bits of something. I would Say philosophy's like Taoism and many of the Esoteric or Mystical approaches are more based in the Intuitive perspective. The Taoist Health science for instance is very concerned with the 'Whole' and its well-being where the western model gets right down to the specific thing and try's to fix it. They learned in different ways too. Taoists studied living bodies as a whole, where the western way was to study a dead body and chop it into bits in its hope to understand Life. Both are completely Valid, and where one Fails the other can often pick up the pieces (no pun intended ) Many Schools on the side of Oneness and an underlying Substance will use much more Intuitive Methods, such as learning to 'feel the Life 'in and behind' everything, and this becomes an extraordinarily powerful and real experience. Eventually you can't help but experience the world as single Vital, Living Whole and no amount of words from the mind will be able to change this for you. Oneness is Obvious to you Deep Feeling and experience of everything. It Seems to me that the Intuitive Lens will always lead to the Whole, or Oneness, where as the Logic Lens will always lead towards the many or Emptiness... Of course there are Many Schools that try to use Both... I just wanted to get across an Idea so have been deliberately Either/or... What do you Bums think?

:lol:Mikaelz, that was the worst response I have seen you give. By quoting me and deliberately leaving out the Key point I was making at the end, and then miss- representing my argument, you make your self worse than the worst politicians or Fox journalists. Stop trying to confuse everybody with your crap, or at least read a post properly before responding. If you read what I was saying, its that my practice is too Surrender as Deeply as possible on every level... and then I was offering any of the Buddhist Fundamentalists here the opportunity to question me on any of the key points -In case I am missing something- without giving you or Vaj's typical response of "E&DO is the only truth, I said so, therefore Its true, and you are deluded till you believe me" How about Talking about the Nuances of experiences rather than Claiming everyone else is deluded? I have my experiences and as a result I tend to Believe things that match them, but its not some Iron clad belief that cant look in new ways, or is not willing to explore angles I have missed. I am saying I am open to Discussion.

well a Buddhist would say these things because this is your Dogma. You Keep accusing anyone not Buddhist of clinging to subtle Attachments. I would Offer a reverse saying it is you who is clinging to Emptiness and Dependent Origination as a perspective, for you are afraid to really surrender to a universe that might want something from you... Does the concept of Divine Will Scare you, or of a Way that leads, that you flow with, or even a Purpose at the core of your being? I am not really offering this as an argument, More as a Demonstration of what you do. Every reply you give demands that I accept the Buddhist dogma as the total truth, rather than Meeting me (or anyone) in open honest dialogue. Stop being a Buddhist Bible Basher and get off your pedestal and maybe these conversations can get a bit more constructive. The practices I know involve the deepest Surrendering I can conceive off. Feel free to question in any way you like without just demanding I 'Wake up' and be a Buddhist.
