Who is a Christian here and believes in JESUS CHRIST?
Seth Ananda replied to Spirit Ape's topic in General Discussion
Hi Vortex I meditated with the Ishayas about 12 years ago, and still often use their first Sphere meditation as a begining to my practices. Its great. I wouldnt know about the founders claims to authenticity but the people are sincere and i met some of the lovelyest people i have met. Clear, radiant, peacefull and with deep shining eyes. I was impressed. The crickets are great arnt they... Seth. -
The Heart knows what it longs for. For me Prayer moves me closer to the Divine by allowing the full blossoming of my hearts Longing for God. It helps me collect all the ungathered parts of myself up and turn them towards God. I like to start with prayer for others, peace, planet, but when it comes to me I rarely pray for anything other than to be closer to God and It seems that God loves this prayer for it is always answered. when I sit back and contemplate it I cant help feeling that One of its greatest values is as a vechicle for joyfull Submission of the false self. It is an unceasing spring of vitality, joy and renewal. I couldn't live without it. Seth.

Congratulations! Having a Child is an amazing/trying/beautiful/tireing and mind expanding experience and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I was Shit Scared when mine was on the way as I thought it would slow or stop my spiritual progress, and I also was worried about repeating all the same disfunctional parenting patterns my parents used on me (I was brought up in an extremist religious cult). All I can say is Wow! It purged more Internal crap from my system over the next year than I could have Imagined, taught a level of patience that I could not have got myself, freed me of many stupidly selfish motives (and continues too) and with all the amazing Good stuff of having a Loving relationship with another being. If anything my practice has doubled in strengh as I now appreciate time much more and make the most of it. My daughter just turned two. Blessings on you and your Family Seth Ananda.

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Seth Ananda replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Interesting. I did Zhineng chigung for a while, I think it called Chi Lel in the states and they had china's largest hospitable dedicated to only using Chi gung and chi healing. the Chinese Government had given them a Milatary base with 8000 beds to use and they hada 96% sucsess rate curing almost impossible conditions. This was of course before the FalunGong fiasco The teacher had ultra sound videos of tumors being blasted away and the interview with the old lady who accidently cut off her finger and then put it back on by holding it in place and chi breathing through it till it conected. They didnt believe her so X rayed her hand and saw the knit line but also that she hadnt put it back on straight so were convinced it had happened. No peacefull newage music when they do their healings. they point hands and emit whils shouting "HEAL! HEAL! HEAL!..." Its full on to watch. Seth -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
Seth Ananda replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
I dont want to be rude but here goes. The 'Prove it' mentality is B.S! The prove it to yourself mentality is awesome. Once the Church and its mind set rulled our world and our minds and you really were not allowed to challenge it without bad consequences. Now Science has wresteled much of that power from the church with its Prove it mantra and things are much the same. The scientific Priesthood now rules the minds of the general population with its scientific materialism and even where many profess to be christian, science still has an Iron grip on a large % of their world view. People get very uncomfortable when their world view is challenged and will defend it at almost any costs. The reason is that we Identify with our beliefs, as is make them part of our sence of self. This means if our beliefs are threatened our survival instincts kick in the flight or flight responce, and that is exactly what we do. Fight or Run. You are not dealing with People, You are dealing with Mammalian Survival responces. If you cant see the logical conclusions of chalenging the mainstream Scientific Priest hood I'll spell it out for you. One. If they cant explain it they bring in a stage magician to replicate it and then Shout "See! Our magician can do it, Its just a trick everyone, Don't Worry about a thing!' (sooths those survival instincts) If there is just no possible way the test subject could have smuggled in his magician equipment, and they are some of the rare few not to bring in a stage magician, they may actually begin to believe their results. Where to from there? If they get published in a science journal they get written off as quacks, stripped off licences, funding and facility's. (by mammalian survival responces in white lab coats) Very risky. The best thing that can happen is that they will be ignored. Two. If some how they are taken seriously there are several more options. One is 50 other labs run the same tests with their own Chi person (or healer, or ...) and get different results or some bring in the stage magician saftey valve, and theory's circulate round and round and others say better equipment is needed to confirm and ... Inconclusive evidence, or negligable evidence, or waiting for more funding or ... and all the happy mammalian circuts relax again and every one is happy and safe. You have to think about how many Doctors and Scientists have lost everything because their own tests confirmed a scientific Heresy thus causing the scientific priesthood to excomunicate them. Some were even jailed. The weight or inertia of the collective mindset is huge. And the only freedom we have is to try and Prove it for ourselves. Then we can use it every day, in some cases helping thousands of people, in happy obscurity. Everyone involved will KNOW it works, and all will be fine till some jelous soul see's that you are too sucsessful and some myth busters show will break down your door... Wow. I didn't even mention placebo in there. Seth. -
In the Tantric View (kashmir Shavite) there are several levels of Enlightenment. But the further levels are just an increase in power and awareness and are not really that important as they are inevitible anyway to someone who has acheived Moksha. The first level is the permanent end of subject object duality. this means that you see the Self in everything you look at and there is only Self seeing Self in joyfull Blissfull awareness. Everything appears as a divine play of the Self including the most horendous experiences. Also Consciousness is clearly visable to itself in everything physical and in its own domain. The Yogi is free to enjoy all the products of consciousness from Void to Form and neither experience shakes his establishment in the Self that creates Void to Form. In develouping on the way the Yogi will have many experiences of the Self/non dual consciousness and these are mini Enlightenments that erode at the taints carried in the yogi till eventually all Impurity or falsity is burnt from Him or Her. The Further levels are the slow gaining of Omnipotence, Omniscience... May Grace Allow it! The argument that we are already Enlightened in Tantra is complex. From the view of Reality it is true as Consciousness is in us and everything, and is aware of itself always, but is playing at being dual and powerless in us. But from our stand point even our consciousness is only half present and weak and we need Sadhana to regain its nondual - in and as everything status. part of the way we do this though, is by meditating on our Identical qualities with the Supreme which are still present and are found through Intrspection. If you call me Shiva to remind me of my Sadanha, Thanks, but If you call me Shiva and it Feeds my seperate sence of self, just call me Seth please and why are you calling me that anyway, do you need a pat on the back? Oh well, Here you go, " Your pretty cool too dude" Seth.

Wow thanks once again for the goods mwight. You keep coming through with them Hopefully It would prompt a much greater level of compassion for each other through forcing us to acknoledge the Crap we are ALL carrying within us. Not just criminals. It could also have some amazing Social ramifications when a really pure soul is hooked up. Imagine being able to watch a spiritual experience such as Seeing/experiencing the oneness of all life... Or just being able to see the results of negative thinking, anger, joy, Love... Wow. Politician's using their Mind scans as election campaining material. "See, I really am a nice compassionate, Man with grounded logical thinking capacities!" I guess we will see. It may through out trial by jury as well. Seth.

I have Several questions on this subject that I have been wondering about. One is Light (internal not from the sun) and Chi, whats the story? Is one a level of the other or... I have done a lot of Chikung over the years and A lot of meditations that visualise and move light and they feel similar but different, any Ideas? The Middle Pillar exersise starts with visualizing light and then moving it in a continuos circulation up the back of the body and down the front of the body and so on untill a Crystalization occours. I cant say much more about what the crystalization does as it is its own mysterious substance and is best to just be experienced. Some of the people who practice this meditation love the 'golden flower' teaching becaus it seem to describe so well some of the results. It takes at least days of circulation of the light for this Crystalization to start. Any theorys? What about Shen and Light? I look forward to hearing peoples Ideas... Seth

No mate, I dont really visit many others. I was a member of a rosicrucian one a while back but the constant shit fight everyone was having made the Taobum Kunlun vs anti Kunlun fights look like star struck lovers holding hands . a pity really. Is that one greek? Seth.

Golden Altai with Astral Karate and astral Aikido. http://www.goldenaltaiacademy.org/ they seem to have rolled back emphasis on the teacher. Last time I looked them up, everything was about him. Enjoy. Seth.

That is just not true in every case. What about Baal Shem Tov who taught of the Goodness of all Gods creation and its pleasures in their correct place and Opposed Isaac Luria and His Asceticism. He peformed just as many Miricales as Isaac. Seth Really? I havent read that one. although its been a while since I went to his site. Got a link? I have only ever read him ragging on Dual cultivators and saying that they never even reach the first Levels of Samadhi. Thanks. Seth

I havent watched he Russian Guy yet as am not at home and am on dial up but I heard some one say he did Astral Karate. Astral Karate comes from I think the group is called Golden Altai. The teacher is Altai something or something Altai. I cant remember, but I did a workshop with them years ago. He is Russian, claims to be an Avatar, and teaches something that is a cross between western esotericism, tantra, Gurdjieff, shamanism, new age stuff, yoga and chigung. A bit of everything really. Ill try and dig up more when home. He does all kinds of stunts and so do his students. Like pyrokinesis... It was exciting seeing video's of him and at the same time really strange as he really did just take anything from anywhere And some how turned it into a Russian/New age/Old age fusion workshop. But the stuff worked. The Astral Karate is definitely not systema Seth.

Thanks Dude, I agree with this too. I like the sound of your work. Many of the greats were constantly Giving it and sometimes charging. I have no problem with this, Just with the Candy store 'shaktipat' advertising you see... Eg: for $300 youl get my half hour blast, but for $500 Ill amp it up to Kundalini 2000 tm and if you really feel ready pay $6000 and youl be a bonafied kundalini awakened walking saint with 12 strand dna, Pleadian lightbulp Pineal gland and a free Halo to boot... I really feel some people are just trying to cash in on peoples spiritual consumer mentality with the Shaktipat and I find this slightly insulting. My Issues though. God Bless you and your work. Seth.

Thanks Silicon. I cant comment on the other schools, as I have not studied them In Depth. I was Talking from the Kashmir Shavite view which is my tradition. I think we are basically saying the same thing but I wanted to add something as many Books have an incorrect description of the K.S. tattva system. Parama Shiva is the transcendental aspect while Shiva Tattva is the Imminent aspect (as are all that Follow). Both Abhinivagupta and Keshamaraj in their commentaries, Say Shiva Tattva cannot be separated from Shakti Tattva and that they are the same as far as reality is concerned, not really different Tattva's at all, but are broken up for ease of description for us. Then again The entire System is for how we see it. A Saint only see's Shiva tattva. Shakti Tattva Is not where Shakti starts. Shiva tattva is the Initial creative movement and Shakti tattva is its energy. Separating them is like trying to separate Light and heat from Flame. Also Para Shakti Is often a Description For Shakti above Maya (which is one of her powers). There is no view that puts the Transcendent above the Imminent as both are Just as real. Enjoy. Seth.

Sorry Silicon, I have to disagree here. Shakti is every one of the 36 principles, not just one. Even Parama Shiva - Outside the 36 is still with Shakti, otherwise he would be Impotent and unable to bring the all into manifestation. If it moves, has colour, Feeling, form, Dynamism or Power and Bliss it is Shakti and Shakti can not be removed from Shiva. My Teacher gives Shaktipat from a distance over several days and all I can say is it is something Very special. Its like grace has touched all your meditations and it gives you surprises as well. I easily experience the Self under these blessed circumstances. I was taught to give Kundalini Diksha (a form of Shaktipat) in Muktananda's tradition but I cant Imagine EVER charging for it as for me it Is a profound Religious experience between me and Shakti herself. I don't volunteer this service, Shakti tells me herself who is ripe for it. All I can say is 'I' have almost nothing to do with it. I am all for charging for time and energy but for me Shaktipat is something different and Rare. I dont feel that these people who sell it are Authentic. Just My view. Seth Ananda

Lets not forget the Married Kabbalist Rabbi's, who take the union between Husband and Wife as a most serious deep religious sacrement. They peformed so many Miracles including levitating, walking on water, walking through walls, raising the dead, healing, existing without sustenance for long periods. Many of which was done in front of large groups of people. And as someone also mentioned, the Sufi's, early Christian Gnostics (the ones following the Gospel of Philip not the celibate ones), Tantric Yogi's, Well probably nearly all Yogi's if you believe the stories... , and hosts more. Im getting a bit sick of this opinion that only celibate Taoists are able to Attain anything, and that only celibate Taoists have a 'scientific' way of attaining what only they can attain, and that if you are a celibate Taoist, that some how you are Garunteed becoming a bullet proof levitating Immortal. It reeks of religious bigotry and simply, Shit aint like that! By the way I glow after sex, and my mind is clear and stable, perfect for Deep One pointed concentration and Samadhi. (and it last for days if it had been a good session) Tell that to Bodhri If being celibate really works for you then great! I too like periods of it as well. Seth Ananda

Master Nan & Bill Bodri - circulation being a waste of time

Thanks Smile, Awesome! Thats one of the Ultra Important Tantric meditations. I do it alot -
Great thread, Thanks all. Good workshop by the sounds. I Hope I can make one one day. I am Especially Impressed with you Vajrasattva, as you may be the first person ever to piss 'God' off enough to make Him call you a "Fuck head" or whatever he called you! you probably distracted him mid planet creation and he slipped and dropped a solar system all over the kitchen floor. Its Funny when you scarcely have to read a sentence sometimes to know when someone is sprouting their mental theory's not their Lived experience. You Feel Like someone just vomited on you. A saint may say exactly the same sentence but somehow its Soooo different. Seth.

I have some experience in this area and many many theory's and as many questions. I'm afraid that experiencing this realm in no way gives you certainty in your understanding of this realm and Often brings up more questions. But I'll share some experiences and perceptions about The other side, not just Ascended Masters, as I now tend to believe they are more similar than not... I don't believe in Saint Germain one bit. I researched his life story (factual not channeled) and there is no way he Ascended anywhere but further into the cycle of Birth/death but that didn't stop the bastard standing behind me and Blasting the Shit out of me with his Violet flame which left me on my knees and free of years worth of precious baggage. I still wont forgive him for that one! I have had Many 'Strong' experiences of J.C. who I am not sure if even existed but who I cant help but think of with Great Love. Its irrational I know but I feel Him as clear as day and I get so much Motivation from his presence, For my own Spiritual work. Also Babaji (of Yogananda lineage) I Fired my guides years ago, and my Animal companions, in a fit of Spiritual Elitism, which was probably quite arrogant and I miss them sometimes. Especially the old gypsy woman. Sai Baba, The Kiddie fiddling, cheap ring palming, Afro having Guru, helped me into the some of my early spiritual experiences, Grew Vabhuti all over his picture (except his eyes) each night, in the jar on our fridge, the ash which healed our Dogs eye which got cut open right through the Iris. There was not a scratch the next day on his eye. A female friend caught Half a jar of the ash falling out of her 3rd eye after a Sai visitation. He appeared in the middle of the road motioning my friends to pull over which they did and when they got out he was gone. they walked 20 feet round the sharp bend ahead and the road had collapsed down the cliff face it ran along. They would have gone straight over the Edge. I dont At all believe Sai Baba is the genuine thing. I met my Nanna after she passed away and she was So happy. No more aches and pains. when my Gramps passed on two weeks later Different story. He was freaking scared and unstable and it took several hours of Prayer/focus to help him center. I believe Nanna and Gramps were real, not unconscious projections of my mind or creations of Believers within the Collective, but How do I know? I don't. I Believe that St Germain and his friends are creations... but still real. But how do I know? I certainly feel much more at home calling on Saints/Sages who were highly evolved. The Quality of their light feels different to mental creations and they give me well needed 'Nudges' at times. Invaluable. It is My Theory that Spirit doesn't care what you believe in and will use any Image for the sacred you have in your mind as a Doorway to you. This for me explains Sai Baba and the other Dubious Miracle workers... You could believe in a Coke can and It would probably start Appearing, surrounded by Healing Light. Who knows? Thanks for putting up with this Ramble Seth Ananda

Many Shamanic traditions have a Non Dual Element. Its just that (it seems to me) that there was less focus on achieving it. They were very practical in that they were there to serve the community with Herbs and magick and counsellings and divinations First. I think (and just my theory) That they didn't think many people were qualified to go for the real High Level stuff and a tribe couldn't afford to lose all its members to some spiritual quest. Look at the Andean Shaman's higher level, Alto Mesayok training, which includes Oneness with everything and the descriptions of many shaman from around the world talking about Oneness with Nature and with Great Spirit. Its not just 'stupid spirit chasing stuff' although thats fun too... Seth.

Upside Down thinking alert! Our perception is upside down (distorted/unclear/delusional/ignorant) when we are happy to pay for things with very little actual value, but do not want to pay for the precious things of the highest value. How selfish to, too expect the time and energy and guidance and teachings of a Teacher - for Nothing. Feel into the thought/attitude of - "Give to me but I will give you Nothing" - It is a deeply contracted/ignorant state or energy. Don't argue, just feel into it. Sit in that place. Is it Good? Does it share anything in common with a Refined state of Being, or with Happiness or even Enlightenment? How is the Karma there? And don't say "It's not to do with me, it's to do with the teacher" Thats just a cop out and B.S. Every thing is to do with you. Your the one wanting. Infinite Blessings and Abundance to all my Teachers! Seth.

My friend manages his schizophrenia reasonably well with Mantra meditation. He used to have regular visits to the Mental ward and has significantly reduced them. He cannot safely do any Visualization, Energy work/cultivation, ritual or chakra work. these pretty much would guarantee a relapse. He can safely use gentle self inquiry processes. Every case is unique as well. And what Xuesheng said Good Luck, Seth
-
Upside down thinking alert! How much did you pay for you TV or phone or shoes or... these things are worth Far less than the time and Info of a good teacher. I Have payed and payed and I will continue to pay to support my wonderful teachers and Every cent was worth it. Where do you get off threatening people like some priest with pronouncements of Doom? Paying isn't the problem, being an 'I want it now for nothing' person is. (basically parasitic mentality) Still laughing, Seth.
