Careful, Mods and Tao Bums! Spammer on the loose!
Dainin replied to Wells's topic in General Discussion
But wait, there's more! He's the author of : "The Zensation Manual: Forbidden Secrets of Personal and Energetic Development" It's very thoughtful of him to want to share the zensational opportunity for Tao Bums to learn these forbidden secrets of energetic development for only $97.00, versus, for example, Mo Pai, which keeps these forbidden secrets secret. Where else can we learn how to "Triple Your Personal Power, Manifest Your Dreams and Break Through Anything Holding You Back From Creating The Life You Desire!" "It’s NOT based on new age fluff… theories or ideas…" "I traveled to exotic jungle temples in Bali to learn from enlightened teachers…and finally after years of work it all started to fit into place." "How an ancient Hawaiian art helps you get in touch with your spiritual self… improve your relationships… eliminate negative emotions and baggage… and attain spiritual breakthroughs by using practical exercises." 3 simple exercises to open your charkas… increase your sensitivity to energy… and feel the auras of other people. (pages 12-13) and most importantly: The Secret To Making “The Secret” Work For You! Sounds pretty Zensational to me! -
This guy seems to be kind of interesting and old school. Note that I haven't studied with him personally and don't know enough about the subject to say if he is legit or not: HaRav Ariel Bar Tzadok

Just noticed we got an occult subforum, any chance we could get a neigong/qigong subforum?
Dainin replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
Would you want to include bagua, taiji, and similar practices in this sub-forum as well? -
Let's see: Long flowing beard: check Special clothing: check Siddhis achieved: levitation (reindeer-assisted), bilocation (omnipresence really), resistance to extreme cold (tumo adept?), manifestation of an infinite number of gifts, ability to ingest vast amounts of milk and cookies. The overall selflessness in bodhisattvic in nature, yet tempered with monotheistic moral judgmentalism, as reflected in the naughty and nice list. Therefore I conclude that: Santa is a Sikh. (I hope that you don't mind this appearing in the Vendanta dojo!)

kundalini, illuminati, NWO, secret societies, etc
Dainin replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
Putting "kundalini awakened" on your cover letter would probably lead to it being immediately discarded in many cases. What is your degree in? I think that people employed in NWO organizations (as well as many members) tend to be economics, political science, and international relations majors, with graduate degrees from prestigious schools (Ivy Leagues, Georgetown, Hopkins, and their foreign equivalents). You'd probably have to have some related job experience or special skills that they need. Groups like the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, etc. have web sites. You could try contacting them directly and asking them about employment opportunities. As far as membership, you would need to distinguish yourself in your field, and probably have social interaction with other members, to be invited to be a member of these type of organizations. You don't just join them. If you look at the rosters of the Bilderberg Group or Bohemian Grove Club, they are high level executives and politicians, and others who are top performers in their fields. There aren't a lot of yogis, taoist adepts or zen masters in these groups. The Freemasons are probably less selective, since they are far more widespread in society. -

Great recent story from the New York Times by the author of this book: The Island Where People Forget to Die
-
If you take a look at the positive reviews of books by Shifu Lin, Hern Heng, and Mikhah Ben David in Amazon, a lot of them are by the same people, and the only (or vast majority) of books that they have reviewed are by these authors. When you look at the negative reviews, the reviewers have generally reviewed books by authors besides these three. It would be easy to reach a certain conclusion about this, but personally, I will withhold judgment until I hear more.

Best candidate country for country of Enlightened Wizards/Mages/Shamans

I wonder which country has the best chance of producing talking unicorns? -
Integral Way These guys (Hua Ching Ni and his two sons) are in Santa Monica and have been around for a long time. They have a well regarded acupuncture school. I've never studied with any of them personally, so can't comment on their teachings. They have a lot of books and DVDs that you could check out and see if they resonate with you. Good luck.

Anyone have any good exercises for increasing blood circulation to the hands?
Dainin replied to Audiohealing's topic in General Discussion
Hello Audiohealing, Some qigong forms that I find bring a lot of energy to the hands especially are: Pan Gu Shen Gong Fragrance Qigong (aka Xiang Gong) Soaring Crane Qigong You can Google these for more information. Also, I'd recommend seeing a licensed acupunturist. -
Hi baguakid, yes, I've lived here since 1986. I study qigong and taiji. I've had a little taste of bagua with a guy visiting from out of town, and would like to learn the fundamentals. Do you know of any bagua teachers in Broward or Palm Beach counties that you would recommend? Thank you.

Question withdrawn.

Hello Darius. There are many styles of qigong that do not have this contraindication. It might be worth considering why you are drawn to practice one that does.

Why red meat-eating Korea & US have karma of war..
Dainin replied to SunLover's topic in General Discussion
Tulku, Instead of making things up, you could check the actual statistics. But that might cause you to question your world view, and you wouldn't want to do that. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/datablog/2009/sep/02/meat-consumption-per-capita-climate-change Notice that countries like Congo, Rwanda and Sudan, where war casualties have greatly exceeded both the United States and South Korea (which is not even a heavy meat consuming country) consume very little meat. Your hypothesis is incorrect. -

There is no point living on Earth when you refuse to acknowledge your point of origin from the Stars.
Dainin replied to SunLover's topic in General Discussion
Hello Tulku, According to God's Direct Contact, the vegan messiah Supreme Master Ching Hai, "the continuation of our precious planet has been extended for another half century and counting." This would contradict your mistaken notions about 12/21/12. Since She is not only a Master, but the Supreme Master, and is also God's Direct Contact, Her information is certainly more accurate than yours. I believe that your only hope for salvation is to immediately submit to and accept Her as your Personal Savior. Good luck. http://www.godsdirectcontact.org/ -
How many people practice Taoism to gain supernatural powers?
Dainin replied to idiot_stimpy's topic in Daoist Discussion
Spirit Fighting? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3wRZCP0sy8 The guy that's talking used to post on this forum. He still has a banner ad that comes up for his Celestial Nei Kung DVDs. I think that he had a falling out with the grandmaster of the system (not sure). He was an interesting guy, but didn't seem to like questions or criticism very much.
