There is a way of setting off an automatic 'sigh' - where you take a very deep breath very naturally (no directing, forcing, muscle coordination - it just happens) - it involves using a straw - I'll try to find the method for you.
-
I had something very very similar - but rather than the Universe becoming aware of itself - it was DNA becoming aware of itself.... but this is just semantics - for me also this was an intense experience Thanks for reminding me!

Spirit Ape - in his own magical way was trying to insult I personally did not put any weight on from Kunlun. Max said that it's possible you'll get strange cravings as the body needs certain proteins and minerals as your brain and your hormone systems start changing. I get cravings for sour, salty and fermented foods - especially kimichi and also meats. I don't eat any more than usual though. Maybe a little less sometimes.
-
every single sensation and experience - whether seemingly good or bad or ordinary or special is an opportunity for growth. every relationship - whether catching the eye of a stranger or being with your loved one or being shouted at by your boss is an opportunity for growth. EVERY stimulus whatever it's nature is the perfect stimulus for awakening for getting to know myself at a deeper level. Everything is perfect as it is.

Be patient. Don't get too serious about all this 'mind emptiness'. It's good to smile - if it helps, before you start with the Kunlun, remember a time when you smiled an innocent child-like smile, and let the feeling fill you up and lift up the corners of your mouth. I personally remember how a baby beamed a huge smile at me when I was having a horrible day, and it just turned the whole day round - remembering this makes me smile. With the smiling feeling still present get into the posture, and just be patient.

I would get a heavy heart-beat from kunlun a while ago. don't force the deep-breathing - you know when you naturally sigh? effortlessly taking in a deep breath and then just releasing - it should feel like that, rather than concentrated effort on your muscles... you can still do the concentrated effort, but then I would say do it separate to kunlun - in kunlun it's best not to 'direct'. If you want to directly work on lower belly breathing, you could have a look at the book called "Unwinding The Belly" - it's very well written and presented; and the exercises I found very effective. Regarding the energy in the heart - what I found useful, and you might as well (bearing in mind that you don't want to direct - just let go) - notice if you're 'holding' your arms - could you let go more? notice also if you're holding your throat tight - do any sounds want to come out? could you let go more in the throat... (and by letting go - you should let go all expectations - your throat might tighten more or your arms might even get stiffer or they could relax or start vibrating - or you could start making noises or not just let go more and observe what happens) and since the forum is filling up with political idealists, here's a disclaimer - I am no expert, this is all based on my own experience - this advice is not representative of any school in particular. I'm suggesting an avenue of exploration - and not prescribing anything specific.

What makes you think that "making this go away" would ultimately be helpful?
-
Scotty and WinPro - I know it's all semantics - but you're both right in a way. The energy starts with a clearing action - anything that's in the way is cleared out - very fast... This means latent illnesses come and go, getting 'colds' or stuffy sinuses happens often - emotional problems re-surface etc... Yes this does happen. For anyone considering this path - this is not something for relaxation or 'try out for a bit' - it can be but it would be selling yourself short - this path involves real development quickly which certainly does involve going through a 'process' which is often less than comfortable. If you're looking for 'comfortable' - this is not it. Even the bliss is hard to stand sometimes. If you want to stay the same as you've always been - then this isn't for you. We often want all these wonderful things for ourselves - no fear of death, health, creativity - but when it comes to it and we realise we actually must change, must deconstruct the ego that's been keeping us afraid of death, in a state of disease, without any creativity etc... when we come to that point where the shift is inevitable and scary - we're like "hang on a second - I never signed up for this" So there you go - two warnings - 1) You will go through cleansing - You will have a 'process' of your own - where you face emotional, physical, mental changes - it can be both blissful and painful. 2) If you're striving for spiritual development you will change - most of us abhor any change - it can be frightening and difficult. If you look at Ratu Bagus and his path - it involves spontaneous movement initiated by him - however it's more intense because at his retreat centre because you do the spontaneous form daily, from early morning to night - with food breaks... apparently the 'processes' of some of the people can be very intense - all kind of illnesses show up - lots of vomiting, losing a lot of weight etc... This is a cleansing process and will happen in any decent system - it just how you pace it - you can lengthen the time of the process making it slightly easier in the moment but over a longer period of time (lifetimes even) or you can have it very intense and over a couple of months (of course each person is different and will have their own 'process'). Anyway - if anyone has a different perspective - please share!

HAHAHA you guys think you have choice in life!?

What is the root of fear? And what are it's offspring?
freeform replied to Unconditioned's topic in General Discussion
it's not rocket science - I read your words and feel how it all resonates with me... I can feel it easily because I have similar pattern - and I find it very very easy to see when people have this same pattern. I suggest anger is far far far more important for you at the moment - you won't believe how much anger has been in control of your life (this is hard to hear, I know)... after anger you have sadness to look forward to you will grow more by looking at anger than by pretty much any practice you do that has you avoid it. (& by the way - you'll find every excuse not to look into it! lol - just so you know) -
I usually am kidding at least a little - but I never said anything you're alluding to there. WTF are you doing raking shit here for!? You've cultivated for 30 years! and studied with some great masters - write us a thread about that! it's far more interesting than the melodrama you're trying to resurrect...

Mr DizzyDazzle, I'm unimpressed. You're taking a very smug, arrogant attitude with Cam, and I don't appreciate it. This forum is for discussion - this is not a press conference, we're not representatives, or spokes-people. We're fellow cultivators that share our journey. If you look throughout the site everyone gives each other recommendations - we all understand the implications of an open forum. Please feel free to share your cultivation experience - I would honestly love to find out more about you. But watching you just paint your 'wise' judgment all over these issues with a sarcastic brush is not enjoyable - especially if in the process you disrespect long-standing forum participants.

I love this thread - it's like watching a play about the megalomaniac, ego-centric character 'Intellect' trying to assert his dominance over anything that is not Intellect - which happens to be pretty much everything Actually it's very simple - if it's not there (fake) then it's very easy to get rid of (easier than keeping it there anyway) - if on the other hand it's actually there (real) you wouldn't be able to get rid of it. BTW - I think you really took an unnecessarily harsh view of what NeutralWire wrote - I think he was being quite ernest. I'll give 'Intellect' some toys. there are two main ways people make things 'true' (there are other ways - but these two are the most common) 1) Intensity - having an intense experience of something - and from then you believe it to be true 2) Repetition - the same thing keeps happening over and over, so you start to believe it's true (these aren't pigeon holes with hard edges - most people have some level of combination between the two) then there are mabe 3 others... one of which is 'Rhythm' - it's an interesting one because it's hard to explain and happens to be my internal pattern... Check these out the might interest the Intellect for a time: http://www.nlpls.com/articles/metaPrograms.php

get rid of everything - all that's left is real.

Gold is heavy... it's a profound name innit... alchemical in a way.... speaks of physicality but also of the spirit... You on the other hand seem to be weighed down by the heaviness of all that bling certainty you have hanging round your neck. Now I know what you mean by Lordliness. It means carrying the weight of all that golden wisdom and setting us straight - clearing up our confusions on how we should thank each other (you should write a step-by-step manual) In all honesty I really like some of what you write... and then I read threads like this which just make me giggle!

Wow! we can talk can't we! - but can we listen? We like answers - but why not questions? all this talking... all this taking our talking seriously... its painful to watch (it's painful to be part of it)... I remember how in my english literature class at school we systematically destroyed the magic of William Blake by breaking it down into questions that all got answered. We traded the magic of Blake for a bunch of answers that promised some fulfillment but only delivered empty words. Blake 'sang' of "Innocence" and of "Experience". If you wish to trade in the innocence of curiosity with the experience of answers, then just remember this - you will not find satisfaction or will you?

Yet another spontanous movement technique

actually it gives a pleasant sort of disorientation in the inner ear that I think would get people out of their heads quite effectively. I think it's really great that this kinda automatic movement is back in fashion -

yeah good find - but seems quite different. There are plenty of other more similar ones around. -
Does Kunlun help solving or bearing/ignoring mundane problems?
freeform replied to Owledge's topic in General Discussion
Yes. IMO - No. Let it go, and something will reveal itself... You don't need kunlun for this... a quiet walk might have a similar result. -
You know many "Real Masters"? You say - "they knew the ignorant would read them, and the ignorant would add whatever meaning they wanted to words" you also say - "He turned it into a business and now has franchises. laugh.gif Every new teacher will add something to it and start teaching their version and then pass it on and the next person will add something to it and teach their version and so on and so on." Yes this thread is funny! And no I'm not trying to undermine you... I'm just pointing out that we're all ignorant when we limit ourselves to words. I suggested countless times to anyone that showed interest to just meet the teacher (it's free with Max) and decide from there. And Joe - I didn't mean 'start adding your own words to the spaces between mine'... I said put your attention there... don't speak, don't start making assumptions, presumptions or evaluations - just listen, watch, feel, taste and smell the space in between the words. You're confused because your mind is jumping from word to word from thought to thought, instead of just letting go. There is a real 'urgency' to you, Joe. Relax - don't take it so personally.

What is the root of fear? And what are it's offspring?
freeform replied to Unconditioned's topic in General Discussion
Ouch - my mind hurts from all this. "fear is XXXX" There are no answers in words... but there are gifts to be found if you search internally... (not think and philosophise, but explore the sensory experience of this 'fear') Also - the first thing that comes to me is that your problem is not fear as such... it's fear of anger! (do you avoid getting angry? do you find it unfair when people use anger? do you find it very uncomfortable to be around people who easily get angry?) That's my hint for you - look for anger not fear. But you have to be very attentive - if what I say is in fact the case, then you'll find your anger there almost constantly - you've just learned to shut it out really well. -
Thanks Joe, Firstly - if you're looking for 'truth' - please don't look for it in words. I know that Jenny says she doesn't give a transmission. And from her perspective it's very true - and it's very important to the way she teaches that she says that. From my point of view it's impossible not to give or receive transmission from anyone!!! You give a transmission, Joe. Ape gives a transmission. we all do and we're constantly 'receiving' transmission from everyone. Gloria (mgd) gives a transmission that (for me) is rather palpable. Spectrum does too... If you focus on the space between the words and the thoughts you will feel it (and I mean feel it physically in your body) Brad got a transmission from his grandfather. It's not as mystical as it seems... it's like sound - you hear sound all the time... imagine everyone creates a subtle sound - most people create a noise that's very limited, patterned, discordant. Their sound is garbled and chaotic - you can 'hear' a clear personality - you can hear their limitations, their worries, suppressed emotions - there's just so much of it and you're so used to it that you tune it out (like I tend to tune out the sound of the air conditioning in the office). So - most people are basically noise - many thousands of sounds all playing at the same time - sensitive people can 'tune in' to certain frequencies. A very rare few have integrated so much of their 'parts', patterns, thoughts, motivations that they start producing clear music - not discordant, not chaotic - you can almost hear a smooth, clear, sound. That's the case with Max and with Jenny and with a lot of other great masters and even some lay-people - so when you watch them, listen to them, be near them, they transmit a tune that your body picks up in a yin sort of way... An applied, yang sort of transmission is when the person is able to pull together their energy and play a single tone in your direction - it's like a concentrated version of yin transmission and is very powerful - but is not needed. This tone in turn triggers the same tone that is in you already (it's just being drowned out by the thousands of other tones) What Jenny seems to do is to teach you to direct your awareness inwards, to find that tone within you - by yourself. But the fact is - if you're near her, you will hear the tone she is playing and you will pick it up automatically... why do you think she says that you need to learn the technique in person!? now all of this has been framed in terms of sound... but it's just a metaphor... it's actually beyond sound or light or scent/taste or physical sensation...
-
In all honesty, I think the actual form - holding the ball, heels raised - is just the very surface of K1... for example - as I'm sitting here typing this, I can tune in to the current and allow it to manifest in my body... I don't need to go into the posture... Of course you're right, Ape - 'just let go' will get you very far... and no you don't need Max to learn spontaneous shaking... but you do need a transmission for it to work well - you could go meet a Seiki Jutsu practitioner, you could go meet Ratu Bagus you could meet some african bushman shamans, or Bradford Keeney, then there's Jenny Lamb, the lady in New Zealand that Scotty learns from, you could get it from Ya Mu and many many others... But I believe transmission is an important part of this... I'm sure you'll re-frame what I say cynically (I don't mind ) - but it's important to understand that a transmission is not getting something 'external'... your deepest, most divine part is always there - it's just very covered up... your most divine aspect is connected to everything... so when it comes into contact with someone who's divine aspect is burning bright, it starts to rejoice and become brighter, more noticeable, and then the letting go part is just the act of freeing up your body, mind and emotions to get back to a full, direct relationship with that...
