Yup - I've had the same thing as you... stopped the maintanance dose (love the 'people to be' )... Perhaps I should give it another go.
  2. PUA

Oh yeah... I think I've seen that video. He teaches massage techniques to release and smooth tense muscles and the facia (especially arround the lady's genitals)... This is done over a course of up to 1 week... when all the muscles are smooth and the facia moves freely, he uses a technique to induce the squirting. So yeah it's not a case of bringing a girl back to yours and going 'look what I can do!'... it takes a lot of preparation. I think that stephane guy and his girlfriend make an appearance on the video. Cat - I completely agree with you... imo the work needs to be done from the inside... I wouldn't say it's about having a strong ego, it's more about having a strong connection with your deep centre (central channel/ LDT etc) (maybe that's what you mean by 'ego container'?), then the ego surrounding it is malleable... I think having a strong centre connection is automatically attractive in any gender.

Sounds like a great sitcom!! There are many sides to this subject... In some way it seems a little unnatural... it may seem like forcing some characteristics and 'not being yourself'. I do agree with Neimad - 'yourself' is such a silly word. We go through life aquiring the scars that we do... but we are not our scars... our conditioning is not us... just because our parents behaved a certain way together when we were young, we get pre-concieved notions on how to behave with the opposite sex... are you your parents behaviour? Healing our scars means de-conditioning ourselves, which means doing things that our scars have hitherto prevented us from doing... if you're quite be loud, if you're loud be quiet... if you're polite try being rude etc... most of the time it seems painfull and unnatural because our scars control our range of behaviours to such an extent. On the other hand, it seems that many people take this completely the wrong way... canned lines, tricks to make you seem 'superior', to make the girl seem inferior, to make other men seem inferior etc... it's all manipulation, and that is the opposite of healing your scars... it's just covering your scars with thick make-up and drawing on new scars to make you seem different than 'who you still are'. Some people obviously see this type of stuff as tricking women into bed... and it excites them, and that's exactly what they're after... those scars hurt and itch... taking some paracetamol will help with the pain... for a while. I'm all for widening one's range of behaviour, but it has to happen from the inside out if it's to be 'ecological'. Learning to be at ease while acting out any behaviour is a skill that in my oppinion is extremely valuable... but if you're in total fear inside, but 'dress yourself up' (in terms of personality) to be a 'real man', then it wont help those scars inside. if it's all just a game, why not widen the playing field?
  4. Society Evolving

Prompted by experiences I've been getting from my practices, I've started wondering about the macrocosmic evidence of spiritual evolution... so I just wanted get some feedback from my fellow bums... I've been seeing the macrocosmic correlations between my inner anatomy and the anatomy of our society as a whole. Jing, chi and shen all have correspondences in the physical, sociological level... jing being the agriculture and food that we grow and eat, chi being the power (in its broadest sense, but encompassing electricity and fuel) and shen being the information by which we make use of all our resources (the internet is a nice macrocosmic shen manifestation imo)... Then I started thinking about the Dan Tiens... and how through my practices I move from the lower up to the higher... this kind of movement from one to the other suggests a timescale... so macrocosmically, to me, it seems that as a society we have been moving up from the lower to the higher DT through time... for me the Lower DT represents the bronze age... when agriculture was first introduced... agriculture literally involves cultivating jing (food-resources) by following (and making use of) the natural cycles of nature (rain, seasons, river flooding etc)... planting, growing and collecting food - the life-force of the time. In fact reading Taoist texts on chi kung, you're constantly met with agricultural metaphors when learning to cultivate your LDT. The post industrial (consumerism) age, from my point of view engaged the Middle DT... We're in the midst of it now... a feeling I get when I'm in tune with my MDT is as if I'm connected with every other human being... kind of like an expansive collective unconcious... I say "I'm connected" but actually when I feel this, I dont identify myself as 'I'... it feels more like 'we'... it's not that humanity is connected to me... it's just that humanity is connected. So how is this represented physically and sociologically? Well, I started this relisation a while ago, and now it seems clearer... I usually do a little ritual before I eat where I mentaly trace back how the food I'm about to eat has arrived in front of me... and for most of the food there is an overwhelming connection with most of the people on earth... taking into account transport, the inventors of transport, the metalurgy works, the plants that make the tires for the cars that bring the food, planes, packaging, shipping, the workers at the docks, at the airports, the fuel for the transport, refrigeration, storage etc etc etc... the food is here in front of me because of every human being on earth! There is an indirect energetic link to every human with every meal that I eat... and that's just for food... I'm using a computer, wearing clothes, traveling, working, watching TV... every action I take is connected to other humans! In the agricultural age I suspect it was easier to get a connection to earth... you pick your food out of the ground and you eat it... or you give the dude in the next village some of your rice for a couple of sheep and you eat em, spin the wool and dress yourself etc... there was always a much shorter chain of people that finally led back to earth. So maybe that's why society these days seems so much more ungrounded... so out of touch with nature... but yet so connected and empathic of other people; their trials and tribulations. What do you think? nonsensical ramblings? or is there really a macrocosmic manifestation of our spiritual anatomy? what's next for us? The Higher DT is the obvious next route... and I'm not so clear about its role in myself let alone in society... Certainly the Information Age that we're now part of seems like an indicator... I'm communicating with people all over the world by typing this... I can find pretty much any information I need... secrecy seems to be a thing of the past... Scientific discoveries as profound as Newton's are popping up round the clock... What have we to look forward to and what are we likely to dread? What are your experiences of the HDT and how do you think it relates to society?
  5. Guitar Hero!

If any of you have a Play Station 2 - you have to get Guitar Hero - the best game I've played! (I hardly ever play computer games). You get a small plastic guitar-controller with a strum button and some fret buttons on the neck... you watch the screen and play along to your favourite rock tunes! Hagar mentioned how driving a manual car can be a good way to cultivate your unconcious coordination - this game does the same thing - excellent for learning flow - bacuse with the more difficult tunes, as soon as you start thinking about what buttons to press you immediately start failing... so you have to be very concentrated at the same time as using your intuition and subconcious mind to thrash out sweet rock tunes! It helps you use both your left and right hmispheres in coordination - intuitive/creative girls seem to be very good at it!
  6. An Inconvenient Truth

What exactly is HAARP? I've had a search on it on google, and unwittingly opened up a can of worms... any good links to thorough, non-emotional (political!), factual information from different points of view? how about chemtrails? another can of worms for me. I dont really believe that someone is delibirately attemting to mass-poison our society... but there cant be smoke without a fire... The whole discussion on contrail vs chemtrail seems rather one-sided... from my own observation I've seen that sometimes contrails (from all aircraft) linger for a long time, sometimes they disappear almost instantly - this seems more to do with weather/wind/air pressure than anything else. I have from time to time seen a contrail 'expand' (get wider and cover more of the sky) which was creepy... but it's quite possible that the ice/water condensation suspended in the air has attracted more water arround it... I dont really know what to believe regarding this stuff... can anyone clarify this for me?

  8. Guitar Hero!

Yeah - that's why I like Aphex Twin... he would make his own electronic instruments out of bits of electronics... people try immitating it, but the direction of their intent is different - so the result is less 'beautiful' (in the broadest sense of the word - because a lot of Aphex's songs arent exactly 'aesthetic') here are some links to videos of Aphex on youtube... you gotta watch the videos with the songs because they're almost always incredible (made by Chris Cunningham, who's a genius in his own right) 1 Aparatus 2 Monkey Drummer 4 Flex and the following video is really quite disturbing (but pretty amazing), so youtube asks you to log in to view it... if you dont have an account with them then use this: username: mierda123456789 and password: mierda (login details found on www.bugmenot.com which is a really usefull site!) 5 Rubber Johnny if you dont want to be disturbed - dont go there!! lol
  9. Guitar Hero!

cool!! I just watched the teaspoon slide guy, and the jitterboogie video... wow! it's like he's got a whole band playing along with him! I must admit I've only recently gotten into guitar-music... I'm more accustomed to electronic music (Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre, Kraftwerk etc), cut and paste style music (Cold Cut, Hextatic, Boards of Canada and many other Ninja Tune label artists), jazz (Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock etc) a bit of funk (like James Brown and all the latin-style boogaloo artists) and many others... but guitar music (rock, acoustic) are pretty new to me... I do love music, so it's always great find new stuff I'm not used to. make sure to check out if you like skillfull rhythmic drumming.
  10. tooth regeneration

Count me in for the bicycles!! (come on... who wouldn't want a bicycle from a tooth-chi-gong master??!! huh??) oh and the stickers please P.S. The teeth all correspond to the meridians... I've got a chart somewhere... snapping your teeth lightly is apparently good to do...
  11. Guitar Hero!

... oh man... I've got tears rolling down my cheeks! Karen - great videos!!!! have you got any more?! I've been loving seeing an instrument being played skillfully lately.
  12. An Inconvenient Truth

I completely get what Karen is saying... I see the whole climate change issue as one of those shampoo or skin care ads... They take something very complex and explain it visualy as little dropletts of goodness flowing into your skin and smoothing it out... the whole incredibly complex notion of climate change has been narrowed down to a single catch phrase "Global Warming" - this is like a nugget of gold for the media... you can now just use "Global Warming" as an anchor to drop us back into the hypnosis of seeing some shampoo-style advert showing us 'how it all works'... in reality it's all far, far more complex... I get the power thing also... the powerfull always want more power... it's just a mamalian impulse... no need to judge... we all shit, right? One thing I know is that whenever there is some kind of emotional entanglement in a subject, there is a political power-strugle beneath it. Emotions go hand in hand with politics... you cant have one without the other. Perhaps the world is warming up... but that's like knowing you have a headache and thinking you've found the whole cause for it. If the powerfull want more power they'll use anything to get it, even if seems on the 'outside' as if they're shooting themselves in their foot... Give em a shampoo ad about "Global Warming", get them hypnotised into fearing it (agin: politics - emotion) and now you can use their resources (money) to build "new technologies" (like the made-up "pro-neutrinium" bollocks they have in skincare ads)... what do these "new technologies" do? what does "pro-neutrinium" do? let's make a little animation of some radio-waves moving up into the atmosphere and the ozone layer is visually vitalised and filled, and the earth smiles and we're happy, because our fear is now back down to comfort!
  13. Cleansing the Eyes

I've had blood-shot eyes for many many years - do any of you knowledgeable folks know of any eye-cleansing methods? (I've started doing Mantak's self-massage recomendations which are helping - but I like having many options) thanks
  14. The Universal Form

nice find, Dan... do give us updates as you go!
  15. 6 yoga cleanses

Great to have a fellow Neti user! I'm also loving the practice - although I only do it once a day. I like to charge the water a little before pouring it through my sinuses. No idea about the other 5 cleanses... though I suspect the digestive system would be one of them... maybe ears? oh and also - this is a bit off-topic but you're full of great info, neimad... I've had blood-shot eyes for many many years - know of any eye-cleansing methods? (I've started doing Mantak's self-massage recomendations which are helping - but I like having many options) [edit] actually I decided to start a new topic on eye cleansing.
  16. The "gong"

I must admit, I'm not a fan of dictionary definitions... It's like the common denominator of hypnosis scripts... you think to yourself... "ooh - I'm not exactly sure how to be hypnotised by this word" so you look it up and the dictionary tells you exactly how. It's interesting - how do dictionaries know what the 'true' meaning of a word is? Well it turns out that the makers of dictionaries have to trawl through all written publications and find the lowest common denominator of the meaning... I wonder whether in the next 50 years the difinition of 'bad' changes... "that Tai Chi shit is bad, dawg" and for that matter 'shit'. The thing about "work" is that it has certain presuppositions that we aren't concious of... they're not in the dictionary, because Oxford can't get into people's unconcious (yet? ) These connotations are the things that tend to hypnotise us... if you pretend that 'work' doesn't really mean anything... and neither does 'play'... say 'work' - notice how it feels, then say 'play' notice how that feels - different? I dont see why you can't substitute 'play' for 'work'... because functionally they're pretty similar... they both involve 'doing something' to achieve something (pleasure? progress?)... ofcourse some people are also negatively hypnotised by 'play' aswell... you say 'play' they think of teenagers with a joystick wasting their time for weeks on end... Also some people are positively hypnotised by the word 'work'... they're the ones that jump out of bed to get to work early - coz they love it! anyway - I'm suggesting what Karen suggests... the homeopathic effect of hypnosis... i.e. using hypnosis to dehypnotise yourself! I think it was Neimad that suggested creating a common language for all of us to agree on, but I dont really see that happening... language is very maliable in our minds... I'm all for communicating creatively... and customising your language to the person you're talking to (it's kind of like aikido - you follow their linguistic map so that when you add to it, you can do it without much resistance or frustration)... ofcourse a forum cant work like that! so maybe it would be usefull to create some common language? well I dont know... I blame Ian for all this confusion
  17. Buddhist-Human-Omnivore

I personally agree with you... It's such a human trait to make the impermanent permanent... nature never stops, the universe never stops... but we try to stop the bits that make us comfortble... if the time comes when I feel it would be more usefull to be vegiterian, then I will... at the moment, I dont... and I'm not worried about it.
  18. Buddhist-Human-Omnivore

Birth and death are parts of a natural cycle... the birth and death of another animal or plant is natural... even if it was born and died with the intent that it is going to be eaten. I dont tend to eat meat from large meat factories which in my view completely defy the natural cycle... If i'm gonna eat a cow I want to know that the cow eat grass, saw the sun and was able to move, wasn't pumped full of hormones and antibiotics etc... before I eat anything I have a little ritual where I give thanks for the spirit of the animal (or plant) and all the people and natural cycles that brought the food to me... so that it can return untormented back into the earth.
  19. The "gong"

great idea! I must admit I'm not that disciplined... I've been doing Intuflow for over half a year now almost daily... I doubt I've done it for 100 days straight though. And I've got the same thing with the inner smile and microcosmic chi kung... although I've been doing both for a long time, there are always times where I miss a day or two. One thing I would like to do for 100 days straight is Dirk's Meridian Chi Kung... I must admit I find it quite difficult, but I feel that it's something I really need to be doing... so... it being the solstice coming up, maybe it's a good time to start!
  20. Desire, Sex, Tantra

IT'S FUN FUN FUN FUN PLAY!!!!!!!! we have to play and have fun, we have to enjoy life, we have to live, we have to appreciate every single part of us that we hold dear and we have to embrace our attachment to everything we love. Somewhere in between these two extremes there is truth... I dont know where... Fun involves a bit of fear and confusion... fear and confusion can either be something you have to slay, or something you have to play! Fear and confusion are just words ofcourse... when I feel both of them in my body, there is this subtle presence that I feel... forget the labels just feel the feelings... if you label them they either become empowering or disempowering... either way thay're props on the stage of life... but forgeting labels lets it be what it is, and flow the way it has to flow.... without ego without grasping without unconcious labeling.
  21. Hi Hi Hi

Hey Snowmon! welcome! I've been trying to work out whether 'snowmon' is like one of those Pokemon characters or like a Jamican talking about 'snow, mon'...
  22. Desire, Sex, Tantra

This whole attachment/detachment business works a little differently in my mind. I think of it in terms of stimulus->response... detachment, free will, True Will, your centre, your core channel, effortless action lies right in between stimulus->response. Most people work in terms of stimulus->response, some of them achieve great things... just as a spider weaves a beautiful web... But as humans we have the ability to be the stimulus and to be the response and to be neither at the same time. Rather than re-acting, the wise-person just acts! It's spontaneous, has no mental 'logic' to it... you just know. What's the difference between the wise-person and an automaton... An automaton sees an attractive person (stimulus) and responds by either getting shy and coy, or checking them out, or getting jelous, or chatting them up, or falling into deep lust... it all depends on how hir wiring allows hir to respond. The wise-person does not have a stimulus and does not respond... The wise person just 'lets things happen' (sounds pretty rediculous to us automatons!) - but s/he is not guided by hir instinct, by hir judgement, by logic... the wise person is out of 'control' - whatever happens happens - it's like s/he is a spinning-top spinning uncontrolably from hir central channel... which leads hir to the space and time that is required for hir and sucks towards hir the people and resources that are appropriate (no idea what this really means ). The wise person feels desire when appropriate, feels anger when appropriate, feels everything and anything that is appropriate and feels it to the full. And that is scary... To relinquish all control is beyond frightning... it feels like dying, for you're relinquishing control over your life and death... you can't seek comfort and safety, you cant seek love and relationships and you cant seek non-seeking... you just have to let go of all the reigns you've establised over your life and let the horses of your central channel, true will, free will etc run wild. Ofcourse they say that once you do, you realise you never had control in the first place... feeling safe and comfortable is just a feeling and not reality... feeling love and lust is just a response. But it's fucking hard! all those painfull wounds are gonna be uncovered, all that fear and trapped emotion is gonna burst out and your ego will try to find any way it can to get its control back... even if it means making the 'act of losing control' an act of ego. Sometimes it seems that there are two ways of gaining this freedom... one way is embracing all of everything - all your desires, all your illusions, all your fixations and all your fear. And the other way is to deny all of this. Which is the right way of going about it? who knows? Which way am I going? I have no idea - I'm completely confused... and I hope you are too... because that's a good sign!
  23. heads & the chat

Liking the 'Head' label! I think the best way to operate is to realise that everyone is a Head... they just dont know it yet and maybe your 'chat' could be the thing that gets them Heading(sorry ) the right way. The tiniest thing can get the spark ignited in someone... stick your tongue out at someone and when they look shocked smile at them - then run! that'll wake em up for a bit! Go upto someone as if you're already their best friend and you just left to go get a drink or something an now you're back: "so anyway - what was I saying?". Ask someone to help you do the simplest of tasks "can you help me cross the road?" Ask someone a trivial question and be extremely interested in what they say.
  24. karma-- superstition

I completely agree! The 'moral law' interpretation of karma would require some kind of human lawyer-god sitting in the sky with his charts and calculators working out how 'bad' or 'good' we have been... sounds pretty man-made to me. The way I interpret how Smile sees it - it's like the concept of 'where do I end and another human begins?'... we're all interconnected so if you do something harmfull to someone, you're doing something harmfull to yourself... but I still cant get arround the idea of 'who the hell decides what is harmfull?' In many cases life is not so black and white... what if you steal some money from someone and it causes them to contact long-lost relatives and re-establish a powerfull, healing bond that they had lost for so many years. What if you steal money from a ridiculously rich guy who hardly gives a fuck, but the money goes to save 4 of your starving children. IMO life does not work in a cause and effect sort of way... there are far too many variables of possibility... it seems much more like the quantum world of interwoven coincidences... what I call 'dream logic'. I am, however, finding the concept of karma as 'lessons we need to learn' quite usefull... This goes hand in hand with the 'karma as an energetic knot' interpretation. Throughout life you create eneretic knots that you are blind to - they cause you to constantly repeat some pattern in your life untill you become concious of it and learn the lesson that allows you to untie the knot! This interpretation can be made to fit Neimad's 'karma as consensus reality'... Macrocosmically we create knots in our society... these knots are apparent in politics, economics, agriculture etc. Because these knots are agreed-upon by most people (most people agree that that piece of paper in your wallet holds some kind of value) they create the consensus reality we live in... and each knot has some wisdom hidden in it which we can collectively untie and learn from.
