Just wondering if the breath percentage are included on the DVD's or not? I read the thread and it seem to imply that they weren't. If they aren't included Sifu Garry would you impart them to us privately if we bought the DVD and had achieved a sufficent level as judged by you? thanks sir for the answer.

Various Necronomicon Flavors
yugenphoenix replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Just wondering why this thread never went anywhere. Is it that most people believe as I do that it is a false grimoire. I omly have experience with the Simon version though. Thanks Sonofthegods I will be checking out some of those you mentioned. -
I'm trying to go on the www.springforestqigong.com page to peruse their products, but keep getting redirected to www.google.br? So tried to go on the Learning Strategies page and found the prices were higher than I remember them when I bought level 1. Anyone know what's up with their homepage or where else I can go to buy level 2 for less than 199 bucks? Thanks for your help all.

All well and good Cat, but most of us are married with kids. My wife and I have sex 1-2 times a week, but only have time for 15-20 minutes because we have sex when the kids are watching a movie, right before bed when they go to sleep (we have limited time then cause we both work and get up early and need to sleep), etc. We basically have time for "quickies" and have kind of mastered them to keep sex in our life. I feel no increase in tension from them, in contrast we both are more relaxed and happy afterwards. Just my two cents.

I'm reading "Mindfulness in Plain English" for the first time and found and interesting quote I thought I might share for discussion. "The purpose of mediation is to develop awareness. Learning to read minds is not the point. Levitation is not the goal. The goal is liberation. There is a link between psychic phenomena and mediation, but the relationship is somewhat complex. During early stages of the meditator's career, such phenomena may or may not arise. Some people may experience some intuitive understanding or memories from past lives; others do not. In any case, these are not regarded as well-developed and reliable psychic abilities. Nor should they be given undue importance. Such phenomena are in fact fairly dangerous to new meditators in that they are quite seductive. They can be an ego trap which can lure you right off the track. Your best approach is not to place any emphasis on these phenomena. If they come up, that's fine. If they don't, that's fine too. There is a point in the meditator's career where he may practice special exercises to develop psychic powers. But this occurs way down the line. After he has gained a very deep stage of Jhana, the meditator will be far enough advanced to work with such powers without the danger of their running out of control or taking over his life. He will then develop them strictly for the purpose of serivce to others. This state of affairs occurs in most cases only after decades of practice. Don't worry about it. Just concentrate on developing more and more awareness." So what exactly are these "special exercises"? This is from the Vipassana tradition. I had no idea on an advanced level they practice to gain abilities and healing. Anyone familar with this? Also in general it makes me realize I need to just concentate on the basics for very long time before worrying about moving energy, etc. Bow.

Sifu Garry, Had a question on why the DVD's are not available on physical discs and why they aren't available to the general public now? thank you sir

Just found info on this on www.jimdees.com. Check it out in his articles section. There is also one other article on it I found that details the warmup meditation and level one. According to Jim Dees there are nine levels of development. This sounds like a powerful qigong. Would love to have any input thanks all

I came across this page with Xingyi information. www.smiliingtiger.net/xingyi.html Lots of cool info, but specially asking about the Xingyi basic skills article. It contains info on pangen which I can find nowhere else except as a mention in Dan Miller's Xingyi Neigung book. But anyway what I wanted to know in the basic skills article it states it is for health and the first standing posture to use that is listed is called Fixed Energy Standind post and it has your basic Zhan Zhuang advice but has one keep the palms facing forward as opposed toward your chest. I was wondering the significance of this and how it would affect ones energy. I tried it feels kinda of awkward compared to the palms facing inward. I really want to follow this article and practice all it says but starting with this posture seems/feels not right, so wanted some expert advice from you guys. Thanks for anything you can offer.

I have a recurring drean about my father who is dead. Its the same every time I'm at my childhood home and he comes pulling in the driveway in his car and gets out and I go to greet him. But I see his face and its off or something and he is carrying a gun, I go to run but he shoots me and I fall at the doorway of the house. He keeps shooting me but I am unable to die, but feel the pain of each bullet. Never wake up screaming, in a cold sweat or anything. My father and I had a overall great relationship but we were both emotional distant. Interpretations?

Stillness-Movement Neigong Review
yugenphoenix replied to surfingbudda's topic in General Discussion
Michael, I have both your book and DVD and would love to attend one of your workshops but family and work commitments prevent me from making the trip. I am wondering why you can do distance healing, but can't do distance empowerment that you do at your workshops to kick start the dantian? Thank you and thanx for all your information. -
hey all, hope all is well. I was wondering if anyone practices the Marrow Washing Classic or Norther Star Qigong set in the book by Deng Ming-Dao? Or can offer whether these are 'authentic' teachings or I should avoid them. Thanx for any input that you all can share. Be well friends. Yugen

can someone please post a link for pietro's learning to breath thread? thanx

Yes my friend but you misunderstand me, you want chaos but only talk of organization here, all I seek is naturalness. You attempt to control a world. Please see Lao Tzu.

Thank you for sharing this. Seems like a great practice. I'm reading Taoist Yoga by Luk now and it seems to coincide with that alot. The website Wudantao.com just feels so commerical, not saying its not authentic I just wish there didn't have to be like an online store, etc. Guess that is the way of the world now though. His blog is great, thanx for turning me on to it. You seem to be more into kinda of Vipassana stuff though from your posts, not so much energy moving. Not to pigeonhole anyone. Thanx again.

Anyone know anything about his book and its author Luk Chun Bond. A friend just gave me this book and am going to try practicing the exercise. Anyone with any info would be very appreciated. Thanx friends.

Got Any Fiction Recommendations?

Great book is Bones of the Master about this poet that befriends a Mongolian monk/kung fu dude and helps him to visit the grave of his master. Wonderful insightful book, anyone else read it? -
Greetings All and be well, Having read Path Notes extensively, underlining, scribbling, attempting to absorb I thought about getting Dr. Morris's tape series. I have a few scattered years of zen meditation and unfortunately infrequent daily stretching routine, I'm not very experienced in any path. I do not have the money for KAP. With the tape series I could get one set at time for $37. Anyone can advise me on what is exactly in the tape series, how to use it best, etc? Thank you all very much in advance. Peace, being, now.
