  1. Tian Wang Bu Xin Wan

Thank you sir 🙏🙇🏻 I will absolutely follow your advice! So lucky it was you who responded and saved me from hurting myself.
  2. Tian Wang Bu Xin Wan

I have been diagnosed by my TCM practitioner with Heart Yin Deficiency. He is a very skilled acupuncturist but does not use herbs at all. I trust him with my health very much and that of my family…he has healed my daughter of a serious stomach ailment that would have required an invasive procedure and he healed a back injury that I had for years before I met him. I felt energy releasing from my back when he healed it with just one treatment. I want to perhaps try this formula for my condition but I wonder what online store you would all advise I trust to buy it? I live nowhere near a metropolitan area or I would just visit the local Chinese apothecary 😁 Thank you for your advise friends 🙏
  3. Ive read some of the discussion in earlier threads about their relationship, but was wondering if anybody could put it succintly how they are related and how their respective systems relate and possible how they are valued, not as in "whose is the best" simply but also, perhaps most complete, best to begin with, safest, ease to learn, etc. I'm looking into Sfu Lamb's dvd but her website alludes to several levels to her system which needs to be learned in person, and I'm in PA she's in Colorado. Now there are over a 100 DVD's supposedly in the Dragon Gate collection perhaps covering all of Sifu Chris's completely. Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated, Thank you friends.
  4. The Energy Cultivator's Handbook

It’s so amazing to me how the flow of things work 😃 I have not been on Dao Bums in so long, and even then for just a peek back to check things out (I don’t have notifications on)…honestly been mostly a lurker here lol but have derived so much of value over the years from this forum 🙇‍♂️🙏 and then today I am reading “Teachings of Tibetan Yoga” and encountered an untranslated book (“The Red Book of Heat Yoga”) and thought posting here and I might find someone with some insight where to find it. But on logging on I find a response to my post from TWO years ago posted just last week from you and you live so close to me! I am near State College, PA. Anyway strange this world, perhaps our paths might cross one of these days. I’m a vagabond seeker, just feeling my way thru, but I think we might both enjoy a conversation if the chance arouse. Thanks for the response and the links! Can’t wait to explore more about Tom Campbell…it seems right for him to be back in my thoughts, maybe just what I need right now 🙂 And yes difficult to find time for cultivation, lots of ways our precious attention and awareness are pulled between family and work, my primary responsibilities and various other distractions from the carnival of sights this digital, connected, immersive world entangles us with. It requires a deep commitment and discipline that is sadly rarely found. It’s a lonely path but that’s a necessary thing as you “untangle” yourself from the Matrix 😉
  5. Internal alchemy for everyone

“I think that internal alchemy is an experimental science, which cannot be studied only in theory. It is best to read the writings of previous practitioners as the results of experiments they undertook in their own bodies and apply them to our own practice.” Excerpt From Internal Alchemy for Everyone This alone is worth the price of admission. All the praise heaped on books like Taoist Yoga…once you see them in light of the quote they become actually useful 🙂 Excellent book with a shitty title 😆 If it was called “The Great Seal of Dan T’ian Tesseract Creation” it would be on everyone’s heavy rotation 😆 Thanks for turning me onto it dude 🙇‍♂️🙏
  6. Jing to Qi - a Technical Question

This is one of the clearest explanations of JING, in particular, and “changing” JING to CHI in general, I have heard in a long while. I have learned these facts experientially myself. Respect 🙇‍♂️
  7. The squatting advice is spot on. Anything that opens the Kua area in general unlocks so many “tendon chains”/huang and allows energy connections to flow and unblock. The basics, the foundations…it’s my primary practice still. Took years to follow that advice, “to taste bitter” but delicious once one acquires a taste for it 😋😉
  8. The place of emotions in spirituality

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RUA5P26 I have found this book to very clearly explain the intersection between mind, energy, body, and emotions. It connected quite a few lines for me. Respect 🙏🙇‍♂️
  9. Great advice as always and the real nugget is first determining the Animal sign you were born under…it will tell you what path/advice you should follow for your specific manifestation, i.e I am a Metal Pig, your general advice of fasting, sexual restraint, living in selection, etc. would not apply to me, a Fire Horse like you has more to “fear” from living in the world and “spending” some JING here and there along the householder pathway. Deepest respect my friend, you are a man truly walking a real Practice 🙇‍♂️ I have always followed your posts with great expectations as they usually contain wisdom, practicality, and are imbued with Being 🙏
  10. The Energy Cultivator's Handbook

Indeed you come to a point where you realize just that, nothing new, just various repackaging, not necessarily for commercialization, but truly nothing new. There’s nothing wrong with this at all. Perhaps in fact each iteration might get a few into a true Practice. So it’s all good 🙂 Always dug your Handbook to browse on here, always interesting stuff. Glad you are back and hope for more cool things from ya! Are you in the USA? Tom Campbell changed my view considerably and made a lot very clear when I needed it most.
  11. Always wanted to tell you how insightful your comments always are, deep but never preachy or pretentious. I’m really currently enjoying your dialogue on the “Jing, Chi, Shen” thread. Thank you brother 🙏

    1. freeform

      freeform

That’s very kind of you to say. Thank you.

I try to live up to the qualities my teachers exude with no effort.

And I have a long ways to go :)

  12. Qi Gong and Tibetan Yogas?

These are all methods that were created by an individual for himself, based on his particular energetic makeup (Original JING or genetic lineage) and tendencies of the Five Elements. The map is not the territory 😉
  13. Zhan Zhuang Standing information

What exactly is Yan Xin’s technique?
  14. Yi Jin Jing

    Gold brother 🙏
  15. Yi Jin Jing

It’s amazing you teach such priceless treasures for free! You are truly a realized man, you give me hope that all of these teachings aren’t lost in money, books, salesman super power videos and forums. If I lived near you would absolutely take your classes. I hope those around you realize what unbelievable lucky access they have to a true man and his knowledge. Knowing most of humanity it’s doubtful 😀
  16. Loss of interest in reading

The more I cultivate the more I lose interest in reading. The first to go was fiction, which I had been a voracious consumer of since a child. However, now its also non fiction and writings on religion, philosophy, and meditation. Now I have firmly found a path and am no longer searching for a “way” any longer, but wondering if anyone else experienced this phenomenon as well. Being a life long reader it disturbs me a bit, but what can u do?
  17. My brother you are the god of manifest! Keep it up.
  18. Death is nothing to fear when seeking immortality , but the chains that enslave and bind you to the finite are.
  19. Small risk, little gain He who hesitates, waits. 😉
  20. Is semen retention aligned with the Tao

Absolutely diet and sexual balance are intertwined. Find your ability to control any appetite and you control them all. Nothing to obsess over. Be natural. Listen deeply to your body. Give it sparing what it wants, but always what it needs. Good luck on your path brother.
  21. Loss of interest in reading

Thank you all for your time and valuable input and comments! Much appreciated.
  22. Loss of interest in reading

Same. Lost interest in more than reading also news, politics, socia media, etc. Like u said most things seem so vacuous to me right now. I prefer the quiet, drive to work with no radio on, only time I listen to music is lifting weights and running.
  23. Loss of interest in reading

Perfect thanks bro. Ill let it come back when its time then. 😀
  24. I’m in the process of learning and these particular lyrics speak very deeply to me.
  25. I posted just this video the other day another forum. Powerful stuff! I’m a huge Tool fan in general as well, are u bro?
