  1. SSTT- Healing Aspect

Since there seems to be a fair amount of interest also in the unusual healing side of SSTT based on the recent Kunlun visitors, I thought I'd post a bit about my experiences with this, as both a student of Master Hata's SSTT and the recipient of several healing treatments from him. After reading about SSTT on the Taobums and being intrigued about the metaphysical energy, 'taser' hits, and ghostbusting, I went to check out a class since I have an open mind and they were nearby in Los Angeles After bugging Master Hata he reluctantly agreed to hit me a few times on my forearms and turned me into a believer Having studied with some well known and famous martial arts masters in the past, I'd never felt hits like those- the sensation is indescribable- and he was NOT using force/muscle power. A few days later my bones began to ache from their center (as a result of the hits) and I had trouble sleeping as my forearm bones were burning. This went on for around two weeks until Master Hata got me some special dit da jow to take care of the problem. In terms of the healing treatments, I have some chronic injuries and have had insomnia off and on for twenty years. I've tried a wide variety of healing modalities but nothing like Master Hata's- part of what he does is to stand on , press, and squeeze the muscles until they all give over and all lesions have been removed, leaving them soft and pliable like a babies- it is painful at the time but afterwards its like an altered state of consciousness and my body felt great the following day- all the muscles softened and reset to their correct position. My sleep also improved dramatically as a result of the treatments. Soon I will be experiencing the SSTT-acupuncture- looking forward to it and will post my experience here.
  2. SSTT- Healing Aspect

Update- yesterday my back went out on me after doing some light deadlifting, which has happened to me occasionally since injuring it in '92 but this recent incident is the worst its been in maybe 10 years. Instead of the acupuncture Sifu Hata gave me another SSTT healing treatment today, since my back needed that more. Like Master Hata's Kung Fu, the treatment was pretty painful but I got some immediate relief and while not totally healed, I am definitely moving around more pain-free than earlier today (I was having trouble getting up). I will post about the SSTT acupuncture treatment after receiving it for those who are interested.
  3. Dr. Lin's material

Any one able to sum up Dr. Lin's stuff, how his stuff differs from Mantak Chia's, the price, positive and negative experiences, ... ?
  4. cell phone radiation

Just got a new Iphone, have some questions about the radiation thing. Does anyone know if the radiation would go up the cord to the earbud like headphones into your ear, making headphones worse than speakerphone? Anyone know of any kind of case one can carry on their body (i.e., belt) that is lined with something that blocks the radiation? thanks-
  5. cell phone radiation

I am sleeping much better with the red crystal
  6. I was told by an herbalist that fo ti was a little too greasy for me, maybe hard to digest for some?
  7. cell phone radiation

it seems to me that most times you would be holding the phone while the blue tube was in so it doesn't offer much advantage over speakerphone except privacy.
  8. The healing aspect of the art is very interesting as well. I just received a treatment from Master Hata- it is very painful but feels so good when he stops The way I understand it is he is removing all tension and lesions from all the muscles until they all relax and soften. He also incorporates some of the SSTT hits into the treatments by using (softer) hits to resonate throughout the body. I've tried many kinds of bodywork and stuff before but never anything like this. Apparently he also uses acupuncture needles as well and (to tie this back to spirit fighting), can use the acupuncture needles as part of his exorcism treatments as well.
  9. I really like this art, thanks Craig for helping me find it!
  10. Blasto- how long/how many bottles of the Eternal jing did your girlfriend take? Was the result 'permanent' or temporary? thanks-
  11. Lama Dorje

Curious as to whether, at the kunlun forum or at one of the free lectures, anyone has directly addressed Max or Chris with the complaints above (not following through with the forum, practice not delivering the effects promised in the advertising,....) If so, what was their response?
  12. Vajrassatva

Hi, Could you please resend me the 4 videos plus damo's cave from KAP i? When you sent them to me originally, I wasn't aware that they had an expiration date for downloading, and as I was in the middle of a very hectic new job, by the time I went to download them they had expired. If you need my email address again, let me know. Thanks!
  13. Vajrassatva- Does tummo breathing build up the chi or jing? thanks-
  14. Spring Forest/Alchemy Correllation

Anyone know what kind of a (minimum) daily time commitment is necessary for the practice of SFQC level one?
  15. Kunlun follow up poll

I have only been practicing the protection Mudra referenced by 5elementtao above for a short time, about a month, but have had some interesting experiences with it already, from internal heat to strange sensations. I have been thinking lately it would be interesting to devote some long practice sessions to this alone, however I have some wrist injuries that it seems to aggravate a bit. It seems quite deep to me, David had an intriguing post on it in the member's only section of the art's forum.
  16. Kunlun follow up poll

for those wanting access to the kunlun forum, you're not missing much. When I used to go there regularly, Max's posts were few and far between and mostly it was a lot of low-level students giving (questionable, though well intended, I guess) advice to other low-level students.
  17. Doorway to Now

I was working in a restaurant maybe 6 or 7 years ago and there was a charismatic looking guy sitting at a table with a girl. I am very good at recognizing faces and thought he was an actor. Shortly I realized I was recognizing Eckhart Tolle's face from the photo at the back of his book. When he came back from the restroom I said hi and told him I loved his book- he seemed surprised to be recognized and was gracious and said thank you, the whole interaction was maybe 5 seconds. Thought I'd share
  18. Are you going towards something or going away from something?
  19. Finished KAP 1 yesterday, met Santiago for the first time. He has an infectious smile, a sweet nature, and generously gives out methods that others would make you kiss their butt for years for. Added some cool tools to my toolbox, looking forward to exploring them. Thumbs up!!!
  20. There is a Taoist priest, Mak Tin Si, who posts here and says he has experience and success healing people damaged by Mantak Chia's stuff in the past. I have not worked with him yet, but we have corresponded and he seems knowledgable and nice, his website is http://www.taoismcanada.com/ , if you give him a try let us know how it goes.
  21. Mike, In Advanced Yoga Practices (aypsite.org), which I practiced for a while, they talk about the key ingredient of tantra being brachmaya (sp?)- preservation and cultivation of sexual energy, In practice, this involves 'staying ahead' of the orgasm. It is a part of the larger practice of awakening kundalini- those who are very sexually active would be losing too much prana (at least men) and slowing down the process. For myself, I have felt a subjective difference practicing this method when I have retained for a while and when I have not- I go much deeper when I've been retaining, it seems. I wonder what your thoughts on this are?
  22. KAP 1-Los Angeles- Seminar Review

For those who are interested, some of the highlights of the seminar/weekend were- 1- getting healing from Santiago and class members in the center of the circle- felt way cool 2- Santiago showing us some funky tibetan exercises that were the quick way to open the channels. Santiago, I'm going to have to videotape you doing these (if I can get my new camcorder working) next time we meet as my memory of them is spotty 3-talking with Santiago during breaks and such- he is knowledgable about all kinds of martial arts, chi kung, herbs, and other cool stuff.
  23. so is the actual practice of karezza simply breathing deeply while making love slowly?
  24. On Chunyi Lin

Drew, Do you think Chun Yi Lin's distance sessions are just as powerful as his phone sessions?
  25. My recommendations (note: i am not a doctor or professional therapist, just someone whose been on the path more than twice as long as you)- here are some of the best tools I've found 1 to stabilize and build energy- zhan zhuang- learn from a good teacher or read the Way of Energy or the Way of Power by Lam Kam Chuen 2 For becoming a friend to your emotions/giving yourself therapy- read Focussing by Gene Gendlin and/or The Power of Focussing by Ann Weiser Cornell 3 For developing the proper Philosphy/attitude about life - read Ask and It is Given and then the Astonishing Power of Emotions, both by Esther Hicks. I also like Stillness Speaks by Eckhart Tolle. Of the VOLUMINOUS quantity of self help and spiritual books I have read, these are the best. Also good to get into the gym and have a regular weightlifting/exercise program (if you don't know how, reading Power to the People by pavel tsatsouline is as good a place as any to start) I recommend staying away from the drugs- once you go through a doorway, no need to keep going through it repetitively. luck-
