I looked at a few other translations of this, and was still not getting any clarity...so I went to Ellen Chen's translation and commentary (in her book).. which always helps me... Her commentary is expansive and specific, but her overall comment is "Every line in this quote brings out the hidden nature of Tao, explaining why Tao is so neglected by the ordinary consciousness." That works for me.

Hi Goldleaf... In terms of acupoints (e.g. Spleen 4), my understanding is that activation is more about energy than pressure... So your attention and focus is most important, not a lot of pressure. In terms of reaching them, there's a whole book written on activating them with chopsticks! Trigger points are knots or particularly sore places in muscles. They occasionally are also acupoints, but most often not. But even then, the most effective pressure, in my experience, is just deep enough to feel discomfort... and to use that discomfort as a target for what you need to relax... As for applying pressure to places you can't normally reach, check out the Thera Cane or the Body Back Buddy online. That happened to me many years ago, and I couldn't figure it out, as life was otherwise going well... Finally realized that eating a sweet snack before bed was triggering my low blood sugar, making my adrenals dump out adrenaline to bring the blood sugar back up, and I would wake up sweating with a pounding heart for no obvious reason... Stopped the sweets before bed and that was the end of the problem... If you eat sweets at night and/or have low blood sugar, this might be your problem...

Comparing the GoT quote and the Romans quote, quickly reminds me why I so much prefer GoT to the Bible... and @ Daemon, in my (very) limited understanding, I imagine that recognizing myself as "The Magnificent Universe" would be leaving my own personal name completely out of it...not there anymore... not hubris so much as transcendence...

Not so sure about "the fabric of the membership" . Curious how many members have actually contributed, and how many do so regularly. Seems like a pretty small percentage to me... but I carefully do not follow it.. And in the few times I do go there, I am invariably sorry afterwards.

And that protein powder you like the taste of is full of nasty ingredients... including artificial sweeteners... would not eat it! Alas the best-tasting whey powder I've found is no longer made. Dang. It was Show Me the Whey, from a local health food store...

Protein powder—check Instant Pot...check But not at all clear why you want to denature protein... just for taste? I was under the impression that denatured protein is to be avoided... I'm loving cooking with the instant pot, but do wonder if pressure cooking is actually healthy, in addition to convenient....

Including more healthy fat in my diet has shifted the balance of some of those factors for me... less craving, less need, less intense over food... longer burning fuel...

I haven't worked with him in person (he's on the left coast), but been following his stuff since 2012, when I first read Juice: Radical Taiji Energetics.... I'm not advanced at all, but have learned and felt SO much. There are a few people here who have worked with him in person. Maybe one of them will jump in.. Check out his group MERGE on Facebook... lots of people sharing their experiences... He's got vids on YouTube and Vimeo too..
