Freeform, if I could like your post SIX times, I would! Much appreciation for your big-hearted, wise, and well-considered offering.

If you're actually trying to realign your knock knees, an experienced yoga instructor may be your best bet. This would absolutely have to be in a one-on-one consultation. Don't just sign up for a yoga class! Probably ditto for Pilates. If your ankles roll in, another first step is to get orthotics, which can help support your knees. Good luck!

Downloading youtube vids on dial up takes forever, so I had skipped CT's vid of Martin, above. But reading manitou's comments, I decided to take the time. So, so beautiful! Thank you, CT. And thank you manitou. This is a very special thread.

Good advice, Yamu. SC, I did notice overnight that I was peeing a lot, and did get dehydrated in spite of drinking a good bit extra. Don't know if dehydration would bring on a migraine, but it certainly can give me a headache. You gonna take a break from it? I was most interested in its potential anti inflammatory effect on a lingering tendonitis, and one dose did not have any effect on that. Back to my regular dose this morning.

Well??? thelerner? Soaring Crane? I got some of the high-test, and took the first cap this morning. I was ready for some fireworks, and... nada. Stuff happened, but stuff always happens, and I can't say anything that happened this morning was particularly unusual. Dang! Maybe because I've been taking that lower dose (20,000 u) for such a long time... Or maybe I should have waited til tomorrow to post... :-) Oh, the blood thinning bit... I got a little scratch and did bleed a good bit longer than I thought I should of...so that might be something to keep track of.

Hans Nieper was the MD who was using serrapeptase to dissolve arterial blockages. He recommended 3 tablets a day over a period of 12 to 18 months.! So long term is probably fine. Although of course, who knows with the higher dosage. My understanding is that Nieper's tablets were each 5 mg (10,000 iu). Lots of hits on the web for Nieper and serrapeptase. Online at http://www.smart-nutrition.net/serrapeptase-silkwormenzyme.htm I found this quote in a relatively scientific context: "For optimal results in unclogging arteries Nieper suggests combining serrapeptase with other nutritional factors, including bromelain, magnesium orotate, carnitine, and selenium; see the information packet obtainable from the Brewer Library for more details. To avoid possible pulmonary and ileal irritation, Nieper also recommends not exceeding a dose of about three tablets per day for long-term continuous use. Because serrapeptase is a blood-thinning agent, it’s wise to consult your physician if you’re already taking any form of anticoagulant therapy (or, for that matter, if you suffer from any serious illness). Despite these cautions, however, serrapeptase has an excellent tolerability profile in general. The Japanese company that first developed serrapeptase, recommends up to six 5 mg tablets per day—two tablets three times a day, between meals—for short-term treatment of acute inflammation due to surgery, wound healing, sinusitis, cystitis, bronchial asthma, bronchitis, and breast engorgement in lactating women."

Wow, Trunk, great testimony/feedback! The link Trunk put up (and apparently the product he took one pill of !!!!!!) is for an extra-strong version of the enzyme, 120,000 units. The product I and my clients/friends have been using successfully (Serraflazyme) is much lower potency, a "mere" 10,000 iu per tablet, taken 2-4 times per day, so total 20-40,000 units. But some folks haven't had the hoped-for response at that level... Hmmm.... time to check out that higher potency!

Trunk, thanks for pointing out those Amazon reviews. Serrapeptase is being used for even more than I knew about. I've taken it for a couple years as general anti-artery-blockage insurance, due to the recommendation by Dr. Hans Nieper, MD, a European internist who discovered moderate dose serrapeptase would clean out carotid arteries over time. Friends and clients have used it successfully for Morton's neuroma, and one, spectacularly, found it halted her macular degeneration! We'd been working on it, slowing it down with nutrition for a couple years, but the addition of the serrapeptase resulted in her no longer needing the shots at all! Practically a miracle! After reading those reviews, I'm thinking of a few other people who could give it a try. Good stuff! Haven't checked out this site for awhile, but it gives you an idea of the WIDE range of conditions Serrapeptase might help with. http://www.serrapeptase.info/ To the OP, dead cells, yes; mineral deposits, who knows? But certainly worth a try.

Natural Vs Artifical Light + Effects of Radiations + Optimal Health
cheya replied to eye_of_the_storm's topic in General Discussion
Good question, RV! You just have to do your mindful best, getting natural light as much as possible, using full-spectrum lights (with UV!) where you can, sitting near windows when you have a choice, avoiding tinted windows in cars, especially if you drive a lot, taking glasses off when you don't need them. The LAN (Light At Night) isn't so bad as I live way out in the boonies, but even out here, neighbors keep security lights on all night. Heavy drapes and a blindfold are a big help. I feel sad for the cows and wild things though, no choice but to be always lit up. -

Now, about that bad news about cells phones and wifi. Like you want to know. But if you do want to know about it, check out the BioInitiative Report. BioInitiative Report: A Rationale for a Biologically-based Public ... www.bioinitiative.org/‎An international working group of scientists, researchers and public health policy professionals (The BioInitiative Working Group) has released its report on the relationship between electromagnetic fields (EMF) (associated with powerlines and wireless devices) and health.. ‎Table of Contents - ‎Conclusions - ‎Research Summaries - ‎Press Release -
Natural Vs Artifical Light + Effects of Radiations + Optimal Health

Probably not what you're thinking! Sunglasses distort the spectrum of light frequencies that get to the eyes, disregulating your entire endocrine (hormonal!) system. The only sunglasses Ott could recommend (grudgingly) in the end, were gray. They reduced the light evenly across the entire spectrum, so didn't create imbalances between the various frequencies (colors) present in natural light. Ott also connected sunglasses to cancer (this was one of his speculative theories based on a number of observations) and found his own degenerative hip disease reversed itself (confirmed by xrays) when he stopped wearing his regular glasses (block UV) and got out in the sun much more. The prohibition against computers late at night is because the "janitor/nursemaid" cells (pigment epithelial cells) that protect your retina and macula go to sleep after dark, and don't start functioning again until they've had their required rest period of 8-10 hours. That means the cells you're using to read late at night have lost their backup, no food delivery, no trash removal. Not good over the long term! Of course there's also the melatonin problem, the blue light from the computer/tablet/phone, stops the production of the major sleep hormone, which also regulates our sex hormones and cortisol levels and cycles. Not good! Ott also was the original researcher who discovered that radiation from the old TVs and from the ballasts of fluorescent lights were destructive. He got the ball rolling on those old TVs! Sure wish that fellow was still around today. He'd be having a field day! So read Ott's books, check out that video. There's some amazing info in there. Guaranteed to change your interaction with light, and also to prepare you for the *REALLY* bad news about wifi and cell phones that's finally coming to light now. -

Hi Spotless, Fun stuff! Related to BKA's question BKA, I'm particularly interested in whether you can feel/sense wifi itself... What energy changes you sense in the space when it's on. Of course you may live where neighbors' use means it's never actually off... Also you wrote: "the tips of my fingers reach into the cloud." The cloud around your iPad? or...THE cloud? Love to hear more about the latter, if that's what you mean! -
Hello Intuitive Wanderer, You may find these old threads useful in answering your question... http://thetaobums.com/topic/33230-turtle-breathing-the-scientific-rationale/ http://thetaobums.com/topic/9379-dr-breath/ Google Butekyo Breathing and also Carl Stough for more in-depth explorations. (Stough's methods are MUCH easier than Butekyo's, which most people find pretty daunting.)

Natural Vs Artifical Light + Effects of Radiations + Optimal Health
cheya replied to eye_of_the_storm's topic in General Discussion
John Ott is one of my heros. Read his pioneering book, Health and Light, and you will never think about light and color the same way as before. And you probably won't be wearing sunglasses either! Or watching TV or computing late at night, or at least not if you value your eyesight. His mind-boggling video, Exploring the Spectrum, shows some of the results of his research. If you get to see it, don't get put off by the beginning 3 minutes or so, which are REALLY hokey. But this video uses time lapse photography through a microscope to show the effects of different colored light on the innards of cells! It's amazing! Ott accidentally discovered that the effect of different colored light on the eyes was actually stronger than the effects of the drugs he was being paid to test! That discovery was just the beginning of many other discoveries about light's profound effect on our health, and there's lots more to this fascinating video. Ott did his stuff in the 60s and 70s, and died in the nineties. His discoveries and theoretical projections are still being verified today. Great man, great stuff. -
A friend asked me what chi practice I would suggest for improving drumming sound, specifically for her, frame drumming. She studies with professionals and teaches classes herself, but she said recently she had a realization. She's very sure she is doing EXACTLY what her teachers are doing, same hand position, same angle, same pressure, etc. However, the sound she gets is not the same, and she thinks it's a matter of chi. Her drumming is technically correct, but lacks some kind of energy. Any suggestion for a chi practice? Or some other approach entirely?

Wow, Yamu! TRIPLE likes! Alas though, she's a newbie to qigong...

She is indeed! And just for the record, the issue is sound, maybe tone, but not rhythm. As I understand it, she's got the technical part down pat.

Sally Fallon (who wrote Nourishing Traditions) has a new book out, totally on bone broth. I haven't seen it yet, but it's got to be good!

Norwegian scientist Ollie Johansson is one of the premier researchers on the biological and health effects of EMF. One of his major papers has just been translated into English. It's short. Worth a read. https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=forums&srcid=MDgxODkwOTk5NjU5OTU4ODQwNTYBMDM4MDU4OTIxNTg0MjM2MDIxNzcBd3o2Yy0zZ2pBcE1KATAuMgEBdjI

I would very much like for this "solution", and others promising the same thing, to work. AFAIK, none of them actually change the emf measurements. Some electro-sensitives claim they do work, or at least help, but I am skeptical, although I would love to be proven wrong. Can you tell the difference when wearing it?
