The apologists for karma are not able to answer tough questions. The responses are with more belief systems.

The concept of karma is useless if one is unaware of past actions. In this life or past lives.

Just read where Eastwood is claiming it is an anti war movie.

Karma is a medieval form of crowd control. I don't understand why people still believe this stuff. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2015/01/these-are-the-12-worst-ideas-religion-has-unleashed-on-the-world/

It is trying to make a hero of this guy fighting an illegal war. No hero whatsoever! The gun toting pro war crowd loves it. http://rudepundit.blogspot.com "I don't give a fuck it's your house": American Sniper's Failure

Anyone seen Mallard ducks roosting on a wire? Down here on the Colorado river there is a tension wire across the river and the ducks roost there all night. At least 50 or more can be seen. Evolutionary adaptation? Although, their webbed feet seem to lack the ability to grip. I have seen these birds hang on in 40 mile per hour winds.

I am trying.

I am out in the desert Southwest basking in the sun with a unbearable temp. of 75-80. Just don't know if I can handle it.
-
Of course it is not literal, but I know a few who do believe it to be a physical phenomenon.

The Mount Meru symbol is an medieval anthropocentric view. The text states that the sun circles Mount Meru. Why not go back to the days when the church ruled and burned at the stake anyone that questioned the view, that the sun circled the earth.

There are a few on this site that have called me delusional when I have asked questions or critiqued their arguments. My question is apropos.
-
Your argument does not follow and can only apply to your personal belief system as opposed to claiming that all sentient beings have a degree of delusion. The error in you statement is that everyone has their place on some mythical chain of being from lower to higher.

I have one quick question. If loving kindness is paramount in the Buddhist path, then why do some Buddhists on this forum engage in ad hominem attacks? E.g., calling others delusional that are not in agreement with Buddhist ideology.
-
I appreciate your addition to the discussion. Semantic constructs only go so far and then.......

If carried to its logical conclusion, Dzogchen has no rules. Self responsibility, unburdening of BS and so forth are part of the natural state.

Babble? I think you don't want your beliefs challenged. If you are comfortable with authoritarian Lamas, then go right ahead, but don't expect independent thinkers to follow your ideological guilt trips. Why not add to the topic at hand as opposed to derailing it. I wonder why some Buddhists behave in this manner.

Perhaps, even practicing under the auspices of a Dzogchen master, could lead to mental derangement.

Why the authoritarian imposition? I think the so called warnings were inserted by ones who preferred power over sharing. That is the nature of any hierarchy.

I see Brian is here and possibly he has more to add to my last post. I don't claim to be a physicist because I am not.

If I understand you correctly, tathagatagarbha is an idea as opposed to a real force. If Buddhists posited it as concrete, that would undermine a much relied on philosophical underpinning.

As far as I can tell, all experience must have an energetic basis. Otherwise, perception/experience would be impossible.
