I am admonishing you to come down from your golden throne and have a real discussion as opposed to your usual behavior of hiding behind exotic terms, medieval hats, robes and parental authoritarianism. I suppose in your mind, every bit of what I just listed comes from some secret Buddha realm that only special ones such as yourself can access.
-
Is that the best you can do? I think you have proven to several here that you have little capacity for reasonable discussion.
-
You refute his position by deferring to exotic terms without detailed explanations. That serves no purpose here. Why do so many Buddhists write as if they are Buddhist scholars, when in actuality such persons are dilettantes. Further, these so called instructional narratives are disingenuous.
-
There are a number of practices that will lead to deconstruction, but I think sky gazing is the most rapid and the most disconcerting. That can also be practiced with the space around objects.
-
Instead of lecturing, which in this case you offer no real solutions or evidence that you yourself have any experience with the problems as pointed out by the OP, why not speak from personal experience.
-
I have not met one Buddhist who claimed having physical problems from these practices. The ones I talked to have no comprehension of this. Actually it was a Sikh teacher who helped me recognize what was happening to me. She is part of a community of Sikhs North of here. My first retreat with Norbu and sky gazing for 10 days really opened things up. At times I felt as if I would dissolve while sky gazing.
-
How can you ever prove "I see the buddhadharma as having no flaws"? You can't! Why haven't you participated in the OP as opposed to trolling and derailing this discussion. BTW I posted some personal experiences, so why can't you? I suppose you see everyone here as beneath you except maybe a few of your fans that plus your narratives.
-
You just berate anyone who disagrees with you.
-
My response to the OP is that I have experienced health problems from these kind of practices. Some have lingered for years with no resolution from the medical profession. One major problem was the rising heat and waves of bliss/pain which doesn't accurately describe it. Dudjom Lingpa is correct in his assessment.
-
To put it more plainly for you, your world view takes the form 'Dzogchen is asunthatneversets absolute truth and has no flaws, all other systems not based on Dzogchen are flawed'. Refute that.
-
If you would only posit an original creative out of the box thought, that would be a start. Also your narrative takes the form, 'you are either with us or against us' which defines political parties and religious group mindset. Classic example of primate group dynamics.
-
Misguided and flawed in what way? What wrong views? Again you are positing a rigid 'to be' myth.
-
That is not an answer and implies that you believe every word without question.
-
Do you have anything to say in regards to the effect on the winds by the clear light? Stop berating him as if you can read his mind.
-
What are you doing in this thread if you are unwilling to discuss what you deem super secret? You have no evidence to substantiate that Zoom has no respect for the teachings. On the contrary, based on your condescending remarks, it is you who have little regard for Zoom's intelligent remarks and quest to understand the nature of the Dzogchen teachings. Moreover, Zoom's posts indicate that he is spending much time in research and thinking critically so as to come to an understanding as to the primordial foundation of life itself. Whereas, your remarks are stale with no creativity/evolution.
-
What does that mean? Why not explain yourself instead of posting trite, vague phrases.
-
Instead of posting trite remarks, why not discuss the OP. Given the material I have studied, there are valid points of discussion that the OP has posted. The literature is replete with problems such as described in the OP. The power of light, life force, clear light or however one describes it can and will cause major physical problems.
-
It is claimed that Garab Dorje gave these teachings and according to the myth, is from another realm. What that really means is open to interpretation. The writings say he ascended to somewhere. Perhaps a spaceship.
-
So far you have only expressed personal opinions and admonish others to accept such opinions as truth.
-
Is there an objective reality or not in Dzogchen theory?
ralis replied to Wells's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Opinions are judgments that are in regards to subjective matters. What you are positing is that your opinion of Buddhist theology carries more weight as compared to the opinions of others posting here. I have a problem with that. -
How do you let go of Resistance more and more - in a Colder Area of this Planet?
ralis replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
Now you are a statistician and can make analysis of the data? Claiming that climate scientists are not well trained in statistical analysis has no basis in fact. -

If I remember correctly, you stated that what you post here is your own opinion? -

You obviously don't understand the complex dynamics of climate science so stop deceiving others with your pretend fantasies. Do you honestly read what you write? BTW, tummo is a great idea. -

I propose that one can be both realized and have the various siddhi powers. Mutual exclusivity proceeds from authoritarian based systems in which you are an advocate/shill for. -

I would add that you repeat the same old party line as opposed to getting out of the Buddhist analytical box and posit something creative.
