So far you have refused to listen to the many coherent arguments presented to you. Ever wonder why so many oppose your arguments here?
-
You pretend to write as if you are a logician. You are not. Your posts are replete with assumptions and non sequiters, which are solely the narrative of right wing libertarian propagandists. Your so called solutions to complex problems are simplistic and single minded. History is replete with myriad single minded individuals such as yourself and in every instance, have failed to deliver the goods! Obviously cooperation is not in your venue but your extreme single minded authoritarian anti-government views, are the basis of how you proceed to make arguments that do not follow.

As the Vulcan Spock has said in Star Trek, "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".
-
Wow! You just summed up the problem with the free market advocates! I believe Reagan gave propaganda speeches in which he said that anyone can be in the 1%. That meme continues today! I have many clients and acquaintances that are in the 1%. They acquired their wealth either by inheritance or made business connections while in the most prestigious schools (Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, Princeton etc.) in the U.S. E.g. Bill Gates and the founder of Facebook both came from upper class backgrounds and attended Harvard.

Is that your only defense? Real world according to your own belief systems and that of amateur dilatants. That is your own tunnel reality! Believe whatever you like but stop trying to force your right wing "Tea Bagger" ideology on the rest of humanity!

Chalmers Johnson speaks on the American Empire. As always, he places the U.S. in proper historical context as a basis for his arguments. One who does not or refuses to see the historical context is nothing more than an amateur dilatant. Pay careful attention to time index 5:52 in part two. That is why no matter who is POTUS, the same entrenched interests sustain.

Complication of all known military contracts since 2006. Approx. 1.3 trillion. This would not include unfunded black bag ops. http://www.militaryindustrialcomplex.com/

Your country Joe? Sound like talk coming from the 1%. Are you going to use force to attain your agenda? Install an autocratic government to insure strict compliance with your views? Obviously, you have not studied much history. All with extreme views such as yours, erroneously believe that events of the past do not apply to them! Historical documents prove that every political movement, economic theory, empire, civilization, etc. will ultimately decline and fail! Your little "Tea Bagger" movement will fade into the rubble of history along with all other ideology! If you believe that installing a different president that is more to the right than Obama, and that somehow your agenda will magically be the new rule of law, you are mistaken. The last three presidents including Obama have increased the security state beyond what their predecessors instituted. What most fail to see is the military security apparatus that grows larger with each administration. The GOP and Tea Bagger" movements are saber rattling towards Iran and making that country the new enemy. Democrats in the government will go along with it for fear of appearing weak in the face of so called terror. This government is not run by the people but by special interests i.e, the military industrial complex, which is beyond the influence of any political party! 911 was the perfect storm for the military security industrial complex to increase it's power and since that time, TSA, Patriot Act, militarization of police, wire tapping, elimination of habeas corpus, eliminating the bill of rights, homeland security etc. and the spending of 1 trillion on more weaponry have occurred.

All empirical scientific models are not absolute and are only approximations. Theoretical models are repeatedly tested by peer review to test the validity of a given theory. Why? Bias and subjectivity taint the results. The same rigorous standards must apply to anyone claiming to have absolute empirical data, which is generally based on emotion and biased observation. In general, purveyors of empirical absolutes, are just blowing smoke.

Americans are feasting not only on turkey tomorrow but turkey with an antibiotic cocktail. These industries need to regulated more closely. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/23/turkey-antibiotics-drug-resistant-infections-thanksgiving_n_1110745.html Tomorrow begins consumption to the max which will last till Jan.2. Plenty of food and cheap Chinese made junk for all!

What is the legitimate solution?

The main problem is that the U.S. is no longer a manufacturing country. Therefor, very little wealth and value are being created.

Net Neutrality Is Under Attack... Again
ralis replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
The corporations do not own the internet! No single entity does! http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/Internet/2002/WhoOwnstheInternet.asp http://computer.howstuffworks.com/internet/basics/who-owns-internet.htm -
Net Neutrality Is Under Attack... Again
ralis replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
The internet was never intended to be controlled by corporations for profit. For some reason you believe that corporations are benevolent and need no regulation. Further, corporations have no business controlling one's activities online. Moreover, there could and most likely be blocked access to certain sites that a given corporation is against. No one should own the internet. God forbid if Fox News has control of the entire web? Are you in the 1% Joe? -
We should discuss the potential ad infinitum?

Where is Vajraji when we need him.

I believe this has been discussed ad infinitum here with no absolute answer.

Overconsumption in the land of free economic opportunity!

Economic freedom for all? That is a fallacy based on right wing propaganda! The U.S. remains a divided country based on socioeconomic status. All people are different in some capacity i.e, intelligence, learning disabilities, severe birth defects, very low IQ etc. Further, poor nutrition has a disastrous effect on development and learning. Upward mobility with the illusion of economic freedom for all is bullshit i.e, belief systems BS. That meme is currently being foisted on a gullible public by Newt Gingrich et al. The U.S. economy is largely based on WAR and has been so for the most part of the last 100 years. Even now politicians are posturing against Iran as if that country is a threat! The U.S. military industrial complex needs more war to stay in business. Eisenhower warned about the threat of the military industrial complex and the incessant demand to feed the machine! I was in the military during Viet Nam and I know what the machine is. Encephalon is correct in that discussing economics is missing the point of this discussion. The study and subsequent application of economic theory is not based on a physical science. Moreover, economists obtain data based largely on human behavior and the data obtained are modeled mathematically. Not empirical but highly subjective. If economics were an objective science, I could be a billionaire in a very short time.

The advocates of increased population growth are only interested in new markets to exploit, with the foolish dream that new resources will always be available at whatever the cost!

I would appreciate it if you would expand your narrative to the context of this thread which is titled "Global Revolution", as opposed to your own personal ideology of viewing the world though right wing "every man for himself" conservative American politics. Your mindset of being absolutely right while making many others participating in this thread absolutely wrong, is characteristic of authoritarianism and Social Darwinism. Authoritarians are not interested in cooperating with others, and are only interested in leveraging a conservative agenda which is based entirely on self indulgence and not the greater good. Your so called logical analysis is your opinion and fails to consider the needs of the 7 billion + people living on this planet, the majority of which will never share your views! Further, what does tort reform, tax reform, level playing field for all, laissez faire markets and even Obamacare have to do with the greater good of humanity? http://members.shaw.ca/jeanaltemeyer/drbob/TheAuthoritarians.pdf

You indicated in a previous post that you didn't attend college. Do you have personal issues with college graduates?

That is to say that anyone with the capacity to open their eyes and observe without preconceptions. FYI, I spend a good deal of my life outdoors in the deserts and mountains. NM, Colorado, Arizona among others. Have you spent time in the western U.S.? If you ever do, you may eventually understand my point in terms of the obvious. Of course your state of CT is not exactly pristine to say the least. You and your global warming deniers including the TV weatherman that you so idolize, do not have access to the computing power to create a comprehensive model of global warming. Only labs such as Los Alamos have the computational power to analyze the myriad variables that are part of the biosphere. Therefor, your so called rigorous analysis is not rigorous and only is a critique of partial data. Unless of course you have a computer that can operate in the teraflop range with all the data accumulated to date. I rather doubt it! Even with my math background, which includes utility theory (800 level), I would be a fool to postulate a critique of the current model. However, there are a number of purveyors of pseudoscience that have no academic qualifications that deceive the gullible public with partial truth's and lies i.e, your TV weatherman. As far as your analogy of applying yang and yin to your dislikes, the Tao has everything to do with nature being in balance. The Tao is not on your or anyone's side. The Tao is not a magical fairy that you can make a procurement as if it were a business transaction. Further, the Tao will not sprinkle magical fairy dust on the human species before the ship sinks!

There are several sunshine pumpers participating in this thread who value simplistic misguided notions as to how serious problems can be solved. Contained in that mindset, is the denial of problems that are glaringly obvious. One's who are critically influenced by ideology and demagoguery.
