  1. The scientific method (good science) has created technology for myriad applications. Automobiles, toasters, lights, computers, internet access, home heating, food production etc. Practical applications that you take for granted everyday. All the above would not be possible without James Clerk Maxwell's work on electromagnetic fields.
  2. Good science, is about observation, critical analysis and questioning one's assumptions. Further, you are drawing conclusions which are irrelevant and has nothing to do with generation gaps or any assumptions you are so attached to! Do you read what you write?
  3. Japan

Latest news is not good! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4790755
  4. Your clear wisdom site is sponsored by Falun Dafa and the Darwin refuted site is more religious than scientific! In fact, Harun Yahya the author of the site believes evolution is some communist plot. I get the impression that you are an intelligent design advocate and are opposed to science. Just admit it! BTW, where were you educated?
  5. Japan

I take issue with your lack of critical thinking around the way you believe sea levels will rise. This shows a real lack of plate tectonic and geological knowledge on your part. You may have been raised with access to a free internet, and that does not preclude questioning of what you have read. Many sites that attempt to support massive earth changes in a small window of time are just posting pseudoscience.
  6. Japan

Plutonium is showing up in soil samples around the Fukushima plants and trace amounts of radiation here in the U.S.

I wish I could have been in Berlin to see this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJvyjigCnD0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFOMiKYUMdM&feature=related
  8. Heart & Soul

David Gilmour's music is far from empty. The raw power is still there! I just love the screaming guitar! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajAZiYP36P8
  9. Heart & Soul

I will never forget the first time I heard "The Cream" I believe it was 1969. Mind blowing music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWzrXs4S9VQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGZeqwdWoeo
  10. "You don't know the power of the dark side"
  11. Heart & Soul

If you like the "Blues", this wailing guitar solo by Gary Moore is incredible!
  12. Blasto you got me started! Kate Winslet and Harvey Keitel in "Holy Smoke" These are two emotionally charged scenes! Keitel's glare is classic.
  13. I have to say that Heath Ledger's role as the Joker was over the top. An emotionally intense performance as a psychotic. The Joker is an extremely complex character and difficult to categorize. Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) as the android in "Bladerunner" having difficulty integrating human feeling and emotion. How about the psychotic (Frank Booth) portrayed by Dennis Hopper in "Blue Velvet." A psychotic sociopath with his tank of nitrous oxide and a swatch of blue velvet that put him in a violent murderous rage. Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8Nf1MK7lts James Mason in Lolita as the aging male being tortured by the teenage Lolita.

Are you talking about all music? If so, that is a very narrow point of view and gives no credit to the blues heritage that has made a huge impact on music in the West and by extension, many places on this planet. The roots of which go back to Africa. I guess in your mind blues and all that came from it is not real as opposed to what you posted here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origins_of_the_blues
  15. A gift for Non and other lust-driven men

Why defer to the Tibetans as if their monastic and theocratic culture was somehow perfect? Exactly, where have you obtained this knowledge? I am certain a lama gave you this idea.
  16. A gift for Non and other lust-driven men

You believe your maps of reality and those given to you are absolutely correct? Have you stopped to consider and observe reality as opposed to "my lama says so" or "the Buddha says so?" Why not think and observe for yourself?
  17. A gift for Non and other lust-driven men

I find that hard to believe since your main interests are short and bikinis. Do you live on the beach?
  18. Japan

I suppose you believe, the tectonic plates just fold up and disappear. Perhaps into the earth's core? The site proves nothing except an introduction to seismic occurrences.
  19. Heart & Soul

Woke up this morning and wondered why so many great musicians die so young. Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin, Stevie Ray and Gary Moore. There are no words to describe the feeling in this piece!
  20. In what way does he disagree?
  21. Heart & Soul

Just two more and bedtime for me. A little Jeff Beck and to honor the passing of Gary Moore.
  22. Heart & Soul

This chic can play the guitar!! Awesome!! There is still music with soul. She is playing with the best of them.
  23. Heart & Soul

This guy's music is not empty. Bonamassa's guitar playing is kick ass!! He is also playing a Gibson Les Paul which is my favorite guitar. The sound from that instrument is like no other!
