His partner wrote a very defensive response for Max. That letter is on this forum sometime last year.

This is irrelevant and fails to address the question at hand. Is Max being deceptive? That is what one must ask.

When Kan was photographed in a state of being transparent, a number of people wrote Max. He was defensive and removed the photos from his site. That tells me he is adverse to revealing anything.

If Max does have another strand DNA, all he needs to do is show the test!

As I stated before, I have seem the Lama Thunderbolt movie, all two hours of it. IMO what is happening is very contrived. It is the same show as the Lama in England that tosses his students around as if they had no control.

So in the opinion of some here, judgment needs suspended, which is a problem of the ego? Giving up critical thinking is dangerous and leads nowhere. There are myriad examples of gurus taking advantage. Are there parental projections, power projections and other needs that a student is needing to fulfill by this type of transference?

His comments in regards to the ego are absolutely correct. Too many that jump on the spiritual bandwagon are too soft in the ego department. That is why so many fail.

I downloaded his translation of TheZohar. Not certain how well the translation is presented. Daniel Matt is working on the entire 30 volumes of the Zohar and has 5 complete. Some have argued that the Zohar inspired the Renaissance.

Max claims that is body is structurally unique and he can never go to a hospital for fear his body will be stolen. He also claims to have a third strand of DNA. Does that mean a different sequence or even alien nucleotides? His claims are outlandish and he has never shown any of the tests that were allegedly performed on him. This has to be right out of the x-files. People pay money for this without question?

You really missed the point. Demanding and advocating are two different terms. I usually carefully parse my words. I said I advocate free speech for all. Please read my post. There is no way I can force free speech here except to speak up for it. Further, we were discussing secret teachings in the context of censorship. As far as I am concerned, I take responsibility for my own progress in spiritual matters. I am not interested in having some parent figure holding my hand through rough times. As far as others taking responsibility for the hazards of spiritual development, if they get burnt, then maybe something will be learned in the process. There is too much rhetoric coming from the teacher hierarchy in regards to karmic ties and potentially causing problems for the unprepared. It is the fault of the teachers in their self created hierarchy that is causing these problems. For instance, the educated monastic class in Tibet refused to educate the peasant working class and if someone from the illiterate peasant class wished to receive a given practice then the potential recipient was given the lung to practice a lower form. That is abuse and the same attitude is inherent in the Lamaist hierarchy towards outsiders. Joe if you need a parent to lead you along, great! However, let others follow their own desire!
