  1. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

The phenomenology of kundalini is not well understood, primarily because of the textual symbolic descriptions. These descriptions are cultural and taken out of context. Even the use of the term energy is vague and leads to controversy. From my research, the best way to describe this phenomenon, is to characterize this force (kundalini) as a coherent field. Light emitted from a laser is the best example of a coherent field I can think of. Coherence is a very orderly property of a laser as you can see by looking at a laser as opposed to an ordinary flashlight that scatters the beam and is disorderly. The reason the laser can cut is by destructive interference on whatever object the laser beam is focused on. The so called channels i.e, sushumna etc. are not to be construed as some sort of internal plumbing. That ideology is ancient lore and should be ignored. A field of wave forms, both coherent and incoherent, is a more precise way of describing the phenomenology of this human energy field. Visualize it as a fractal. See book reference below. The best way I can understand the kundalini process and all it's varied symptoms, is that when the coherent kundalini energy field i.e, a wave form, moves through the human energy field, the coherent force of the kundalini, interferes with incoherent parts of the human energy field. At that point, the destructive effects occur. I have experienced the destructive effects and I agree with GIH that kundalini does not feel good. For more on the research by Dr. Valerie Hunt on this topic, I highly recommend her book. She was able to measure the comples human energy field while teaching at UCLA. http://www.amazon.com/Infinite-Mind-Science-Vibrations-Consciousness/dp/0964398818/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284410881&sr=8-1
  2. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

Your ability to write in contradictions has no limit. In a recent post you claim there are hierarchies of experience, from so called lower to higher. Therefor, in the Buddhist system, there is a preference for the higher experience, which is a transcendence of some lower undesirable experience. Now you claim Buddhism is a sideways path, with nothing to transcend or merge with. Further, you have bought into the arrogant idea that Buddha's are benefiting all beings across space and time without limit. That is a delusion at it's finest. ralis
  3. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

When I was in the military, I was hospitalized with a fever of 104.5. The doctors were incompetent and prescribed no treatment. Within 24 hrs. after admittance, I started having problems with my vision. I knew that if I didn't take care of myself, no one would. I drank all the water I could keep down and 36 hrs. later my fever broke. I knew what to do from having practiced yoga for 7 yrs. and having a mother who taught us how to treat our illness with natural methods. The vision problems were the beginning of me becoming delirious. I can't imagine how much worse 108 would be.

You can't even keep your story straight. You criticize me for being earth bound and present. Your narrative needs major work! ralis
  5. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

Your arguments are based solely on emotion. Further, the concept of a hierarchy of experience is only your opinion and is not absolute truth. In spite of your vehement pleading in defense of Buddhism as completely understanding human experience and by extension, the intimate workings of the cosmos, your arguments are fallacious. My interpretations are rational and not based on negativity as you suggest. ralis
  6. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

The point I usually try to make is this. Whether one has a kundalini experience or even a non dual experience, it is still an experience. True believers have an incessant need to place experiences in hierarchical fashion. In general, this problem is created by the guru to attract students. ralis

I was critiquing what he writes. I do not engage in personal attacks. ralis

That is a personal attack! ralis
  9. Questions and Answers about Kundalini II

After all the one upmanship, my truth is the only truth and just condemning others as being on a lower path, and now you admit you haven't fully embraced your new path (power)? Then you judge someone's example as not a universal truth! Obviously, you have failed to understand what your new path is. Although, you acknowledged that Norbu is your "spiritual father". Is that what this is really about? Power? ralis

I terms of ridding oneself of sexual desire, I think it is more about crowd control than anything else. This is nothing more than suppression and there is no evidence that these type of practices are of any benefit. A quick glance at various groups i.e, cults, and religions, and it will be apparent that sexuality is seen as some lower form of expression and must be suppressed. The arguments are framed that one must yield (sacrifice) one's desires to a higher cause. Wilhelm Reich makes a very rational argument against this form of abuse. http://www.amazon.com/Mass-Psychology-Fascism-Wilhelm-Reich/dp/0374508844/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1284143467&sr=8-3 ralis

In the Vedic I have Saturn in the 9th and that is why I have a strong interest in the sciences and architecture. In the 11th I have Mercury, Venus and the Sun. Jupiter is my strongest and I don't remember which house it is in. ralis

Some of the arguments here that lack supporting evidence, are akin to these people's arguments. http://www.bible.ca/tracks/tracks.htm ralis

Can you provide a link for this quote? Just looked this guy up. His research is bogus. All speculation. ralis

Cro Magnons existed for a short time with Neanderthals. Cro Magnons are the ancestors of present day humans. Neanderthals are not Homo sapiens sapiens and were driven to extinction. ralis

Any bipedal as well as any species, must a have limit determined by scaling properties. Scaling properties are measured on a logarithmic scale and gravity is one of the forces that determines limits on any species. If one looks at the evolutionary record, scaling properties are the same across all species. In other words, there is self similarity or a fractal relationship. For example, if one looks at the evolution of primates, there are scaling properties (invariant) that apply over millions of years all the way to humans. The properties are the same. There are no giants or evolutionary weirdness as you propose. Giants with cube shaped heads would be impossible. http://www.fcnym.unlp.edu.ar/catedras/ecocomunidades/Hurlbert%20-%20The%20Nonconcept%20of%20Species%20Diversity--%20A%20Critique%20and%20Alternative%20Parameters.pdf http://www.dinosaurtheory.com/scaling.html ralis

Exactly what kind of physical variances are you theorizing? Go ahead and live your delusion. I have studied scaling properties of species and Songs is correct about size limit. All species have limits. Even elephants. ralis
  18. alien religions?

Gravity and atmosphere are two different things. By looking at the geological record one is able to debunk the idea of wide variations in gravity, over geological time. Further, there are certain scaling properties that impose limits on species size. It is a well known fact that humans that grow over 7' develop cardiovascular problems. ralis
  19. alien religions?

Gravitation does have a very minute variation depending on the local mass. However, detection requires very precise instruments. It sounds as if you believe the earth was a low gravity atmosphere similar to the moon. No way. ralis
  20. alien religions?

    Are you making implications? ralis
  21. alien religions?

You believe this stuff? This sight has no references and the so called evidence is not even anecdotal. I think you can do better than this. ralis
  22. alien religions?

I have no doubt as to the reality of aliens. However, I think humans are too primitive to be of interest. For an advanced species of extremely high intelligence to travel many light years to visit with primitive humans, doesn't make sense. One would think these beings have better things to do. However, if we are lab rats......... ralis
  23. alien religions?

Would you provide a link to that? Honestly, I have never heard of a human femur that size. ralis
  24. alien religions?

30 ft.? Are you serious? I wonder since there is archeological exploration happening in Egypt, there are no bones from a humanoid that large? ralis
  25. alien religions?

Exactly what qualifies you to determine if my behavior is healthy or not? Please state where I am bitter. How about a quote. As far as Norbu is concerned, what I stated was in regard to what Vajraji said. Further, I was around Norbu long before any of you and I have seen many try to own him and project parental needs onto him. ralis
