  1. alien religions?

Elongated skulls are somehow indicative of aliens or advanced humans? Is that what true believers want to believe? What about genetic defects? There is plenty of evidence to support that. ralis
  2. alien religions?

In point 5 you call it a suggestion that I was to ignore Vajraji. When I disobeyed the suggestion from Trunk, I was banned for a week. Honestly, that is more like a command that a simple suggestion. ralis
  3. alien religions?

I agree we can put this on a separate thread. However, you quoted me out of context. This is what I said: "This is a public forum and if you are too thin skinned and too sensitive, then don't participate." Notice that I used the term (if) that allows Sunya to decide what is or is not appropriate for him. I could have used "if and only if" to be more precise. However I did not. Also the reason for the drama statement is that he stated: "That's your opinion. Frankly, and I'm sure many others agree with me here, I wish you would keep your opinions to yourself. This forum isn't your therapeutic playground where you can work out your issues by expressing all your projections onto others, so stop treating it like that. I rarely even go to this forum anymore because most threads are filled with your opinionated, argumentative, and bitter posts. You only post to tell people how wrong and stupid they are, so why bother? What benefit do you receive in coming here? " In my opinion that was drama which had numerous and untenable accusations foisted on me. ralis

Exactly, what do you mean by this? ralis

If you would be so kind and provide me with specifics, I would appreciate it. Precisely, where have I been too harsh? Have I ever personally attacked anyone? As far as I know, I only critique what someone writes. What constitutes a valued member? Further, if I state a controversial opinion without attacking someone's person and someone complains, then who is at fault? What criteria are you using to evaluate what someone writes? Are the criteria based on emotion or reason? Do the moderators have some personal biases in regards to certain opinions? If someone complains, how is their complaint evaluated as opposed to an opinion being stated by anyone participating here? Is it for the very reason that certain participants here can't handle a critique of their personal ideology? If controversial opinions are not welcome here, then what is the purpose of this forum? Censorship of opinions and ideas? If censorship, then we all know where that leads to. I feel as if the moderators guidelines are not clear and from what I gather the guidelines are still a work in progress. In fact, the founder stated very few guidelines which included the caveat of no personal attacks. Further, asking me to put someone on ignore, seems like censorship of opinions and ideas. I would appreciate answers to the above, for all to see. Here is what Sean has to say about this matter. "No personal insults. It is totally fine to vocally disagree with a person's opinion, technique, politics, approach, lifestyle choice, etc. But no insulting (or links to attacks) of individuals, nationalities, genders, political preferences, lifestyle choices, etc." I believe I have followed these guidelines. ralis

Interesting point. However, the elitists that are selected have never been impressive to me. All teachings are corrupted rather quickly. Obviously these aliens are making very poor choices. I believe that says something about who they really are. My point is, are these alien teachers real or not? I maintain this falls in the venue of myth. ralis
  8. alien religions?

Even if what you say is factually true, these visitations still are in the venue of some elite class. Therefor, the rest of humanity is required to accept a provisional faith to follow the elite. The elite are usually interested in power and will corrupt teachings to fit the need of a few. In my opinion, if humanity were so important, then these aliens should reveal themselves to anyone that chooses such a meeting. ralis

Many agree with me also. I rarely post on most threads, so stop the drama. This is a public forum and if you are too thin skinned and too sensitive, then don't participate. I think I have made some valid points. Don't project bitterness on me. I am not. What you construe as bitterness is my straight forward way of expressing myself. I guess in your world view, opinions and belief systems should never be questioned. Vajraji's experiences are his own and he talks about his experiences as if he is above everyone else. This thread is about aliens in the context of religious writings. I was making the point in regards to mythology and how that relates to belief systems around aliens. I maintain that aliens fall in the venue of mythology and that applies to personal experiences or religious writings. ralis
  10. alien religions?

That is a personal experience for you and your friends. That is something that should never be discussed in a public venue. It may have something to do with your own nature. I have had many powerful experiences that I keep to myself. ralis
  11. alien religions?

Mythology is not about psychology and is not about projection. See Joseph Campbell's 'The Power of Myth' series with Bill Moyers. I am not saying that myth is true or false. To posit either position, is missing the point. The existence of aliens on this earth in any context has yet to be proven. All I was saying is that aliens on this planet still fall in the category of myth. ralis
  12. alien religions?

What you describe is not about some external alien, but what is told in myth and fairy tales. Mythology and fairy tales have incredible value in understanding one's internal world. Further these stories help one to deal with the external world. As far as writings about aliens in a religious context, I think that would fall in the realm of mythology. Is the belief in aliens any different than what is told in this movie? This is one of my favorites!
  13. alien religions?

Absolutely! Further, would aliens even be interested in primitive humans? ralis
  14. alien religions?

It never ceases to amaze me how humans view aliens. Vajraji et al have a convoluted idea that aliens are warm and fuzzy beings that have the same ideals as humans. I rarely hear of an alien encounter that was frightening. Although the book "Fire In The Sky' seems to be an authentic and terrifying account of an alien encounter. Projecting human values onto aliens is an exercise in anthropocentric delusion. This interview with Alice Krige who played the part of the Borg Queen in 'First Contact' brings up some astute points about alien behavior i.e, morality and power. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGaoTfh6Nvo

Exactly what language is subconscious? Is it a foreign language? There are 4 dimensions of spacetime, which includes time as a dimension. What you wrote is incoherent and must be in lofty higher dimensional speak. I should have majored in lofty higher dimensional speak in college and therefor, dispense of mundane, earth bound, written communication. Actually, one of my x girlfriends claimed to be here from another higher dimension and whined about how difficult is was to be here with us lowly earth bound types. You two would get along just fine! ralis
  18. alien religions?

You own Norbu? You write as if he is your property. Many such as yourself have projected neediness and seeing him as mommy and daddy. When I first met Norbu in 1989 before my first 10 day retreat at Synergia Ranch, it was very clear to me that he wanted no part in childish projections. In fact, he made fools of several people who were attempting to inappropriately please him. It was very amusing to watch that scene. In fact, I still have the recordings from that retreat where he talked extensively about such projections. Further, someone wanted to start a retreat center here by giving Norbu a tract of land outside of Santa Fe. This guy's real agenda was an attempt to make Norbu his personal teacher and for Norbu to be available at his whim. Norbu refused the offer. Many fools have attempted to project childish nonsense onto Norbu and have miserably failed. ralis
