  1. Gulf Oil Spill & Continuous Outpour

Apparently the Russian deep water submarine crew found 1 leak at least a mile away. Not a good situation.
  2. Gulf Oil Spill & Continuous Outpour

I did some research and this method is very risky. Because of the nature of the strata, methane gas, and incredible pressure of the ocean. The pressure is 2164 psi at 5000 ft. If more fractures are created as a result of this technique, the well may never be sealed. There are way too many variables to make an accurate model of how to proceed. Apparently, BP has sealed the well with a custom cap, complete with shutoff valves. Lets see if it holds. ralis
  3. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

Einstein stated that the material world was just compressed (by gravity) frequencies of light. Perhaps the 3rd. eye is able to see the very fabric of nature i.e, light. ralis
  4. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

Maybe this is the 3 rd. eye. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c0/Eyeofsauron.jpg Just adding some levity here.
  5. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

All I have read is that the 3rd eye opens at some point and the celestial realms are seen. This aspect is not discussed much. ralis
  6. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

I wonder if it is the so called 3rd. eye. I believe it is referred to the celestial or heavenly eye.
  7. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

The complaint by V that TTC is ambiguous and difficult to understand is unfounded. TTC proves that nature is difficult to quantify and categorize. Therefor writing and debating ad infinitum misses the point. The direct experience of the awesomeness of it is enough for me. ralis

  11. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

Exactly what is a sub conception? This is the closest explanation I could find. Infinite regress? Evolutionary? Will I turn into a primate? http://www.mystore411.com/store/view/567857/Canada/Quiznos-Sub-Bay-Roberts ralis
  12. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

I guess I am doomed to infinite hell realms for blasphemy against V the Buddha. He knows my life better than I do! ralis

  14. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

I guess I don't know any better. Vajraji has said I am ignorant. ralis
  15. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

You have a problem with scholars that may disrupt your belief system? Further, then you would have to jettison your conceptual notions and face the cosmos without such props? ralis
  16. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

I doubt if Namkhai Norbu would approve of your putting others down. Why is he not posting here if this is so important. ralis
  17. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

From the so called sayings of the Buddha and the cultural context in which these sayings come from, it is clear to me the Buddha was preaching a reactionary message. Mainly against the Brahmans. Also there is disagreement among scholars as to the complete authenticity of the Buddha's sayings. Further, the Tibetans have disposed of the so called lower teachings (Pali) and have accepted the teachings of Padmasambhava as the new Buddha. Over the centuries, there has been much infighting among the various sects. ralis
  18. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

If you can't back it up, then don't post it. Further, you are using pseudo science to back up you arguments. ralis
  19. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

Infantile? Exactly who are you referring to? There are certain people on here that have asked for clarity, not incoherent explanations. In my opinion, if one understands an experience, then it should be relatively easy to explain in a logical way. A process of writing that flows and does not include myriad logical fallacies. ralis
  20. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

I don't create my own reality as you seem to believe. Flow is in regards to the changing nature of the cosmos. You never provided a link where you claimed science has found matter left from a previous universe. ralis
  21. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

Actually you are evading and hedging your arguments. You state all beings are manipulators, without defining what that means. Then you state "we don't control". Patriarchy is not limited to males. ralis
  22. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

You used the term "manipulators". ralis
  23. Is Tao an Ontological Essence of Life?

What I am beginning to notice is that Buddhism as you put forth, is really a patriarchal system. The manipulation and control of reality is a very patriarchal concept. After all the Buddha was a male. That is not to say all males buy into a patriarchal system. The Tao is more about flow rather than control. ralis
