Discussion about supernormal abilities of various masters
ralis replied to hajimesaito's topic in General Discussion
Just heard about this guy who has extraordinary abilities. http://www.trivedifoundation.org/ ralis -
Just found this article that gives an added perspective to this discussion. Seems as though physics is getting away from a purely mechanistic view of the universe. I liked the part where one can change the past. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-lanza/do-you-only-live-once-exp_b_508440.html ralis

If it is the Tao or Spirit as you claim, then only an enlightened one can make that judgment. Where does it leave the rest of us? Why not tell the victims of this guy (Ösel Tendzin) that getting AIDS was orchestrated by divinity. He was Trungpa's successor. ralis

That is a very dangerous path to pursue. Therefor, subjugating one to the higher cause and to sacrifice to the guru etc. Excellent work by Wilhelm Reich which goes into great detail around sexual repression and what it can lead to. http://www.whale.to/b/reich.pdf ralis

Sick humor? Where? I was responding to a post by Dwai where he puts down Westerners. No, I don't poke fun at the disabled! You really misinterpret what I have been saying. ralis
-
Are you the one that is vetting all the guru's? What guru do we need during these times? Us poor deluded Westerners are just too ignorant to make correct choices! Would you select after the likes of: Rashneesh, Sai Baba, etc.? ralis

That is a puzzling statement and completely off the mark. Cult leaders manipulate by mass hypnosis and appeal to parental needs etc. There is a lot written on this problem. ralis

The only caveat I was given is to not mix fire practices with Kunlun. There are a number of practices that would be compatible. ralis

I think the 2nd law of thermodynamics even applies here. Everything deteriorates and changes. ralis

That is his contrived view. ralis

Been there done that! It is not about being arrogant either. I have been through all the contrived trips that people impose on themselves. Being authentic is my path. ralis

Humility is nothing but slavery. I suggest you read my previous link. ralis

I have been told by eyewitnesses, that Max and Kan can turn transparent at will. Has anyone seen this phenomenon? Here is a photo on Max's site that is supposed to be Kan in a transparent state. It is the 6th photo from the right. http://www.primordialalchemist.com/gallery/kunlun_photos.html ralis

I also have trouble with Max and his Lama title. I also have trouble with the whole idea that one needs purification and at the end of that process, one is entitled to teach in the Tibetan tradition. Purification of what? Seems very subjective to me. I believe Steven Seagal has been granted Lama and Tulku status. ralis

I should have limited my remarks to spiritual titles. I was generalizing. ralis
-
Why are titles so important? Does it even matter? Titles denote a top down authoritarian structure, in which the authoritarian followers worship the titles and are part of the structure and most maintain that position all of their lives. The followers are very easy to spot. ralis

Is this your experience? ralis

Exclamation points are for emphasis. I guess you represent and can speak how others feel about my posts! Speak for yourself! Others do respond to my posts. BTW, did you forget how to capitalize the beginning of a sentence? Furthermore, if you are going to criticize my way of expressing, then clean up your own grammatical syntax. Why not discuss some of the links I posted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exclamation_mark ralis

The advocates of nonexistence, incessantly use pronouns, posit the absolute isness of their nonexistent self, use reductionist techniques in an attempt to prove nonexistence and by extension, how far does one go to prove a nonexistent self. Their statements beg the question and just contradict themselves ad infinititum. ralis

Are not belief systems (bullshit) and the limitations of language really the problem? Taking one's BS so seriously! Is there an element of fear involved? My authority, my teacher and everything I believe is superior to everyone else! I have challenged the Buddhists that post here and never obtain satisfactory answers. They continue to beg the question and have an authoritarian attitude! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_semantics http://deoxy.org/alephnull/lethal.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master-slave_morality ralis

Who wants to be a slave to an untenable concept such as karma! I don't! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master-slave_morality ralis

I think this sums the authoritarian quite nicely and furthermore, all the so called truth that authoritarians promote. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master-slave_morality ralis

Now you are making moral judgments, based on? Will I suffer some bad karma for eons for playing poker? Does the Buddha forbid poker playing? For every dollar I win in this lifetime, I have to lose it next lifetime? I am sitting at my computer playing the markets. Does the Buddha forbid playing the markets and make money? Go get a life!! If you can!! ralis
