  1. These type of discussions cause massive short circuits in my brain. LOL!!! There are no rational or irrational arguments that one can posit, that absolutely states what the cosmos is! I hope the Buddhist's don't start another dependent origination argument! rails
  2. Forthcoming medical qigong book

If you want to read from the "cultural revolution" point of view. The "cultural revolution" eliminated most of what was beneficial in China! In terms of any qigong system or TCM system that is government approved in China, I am wary of it. Most qigong is approved by their sports department. The good stuff has been removed. ralis
  3. Avatar (the movie)

I am going today to see Avatar for the second time. This time it will be in 3D IMAX. Saw it in 3D the first time. A real masterpiece! ralis
  4. Avatar (the movie)

In terms of cinematography, Avatar was awesome and 3D really made it mind blowing. However, the point of the movie is in the story line and portrays the stupidity of humanity bent on the destruction of nature. For a rare element worth 20m a kilo! Greed on steroids!! If anyone missed that point, they must be brain dead!! ralis
  5. Lots of Phoenixes

There is a group of facilitators in Los Angeles that are excellent and meet on Mon. evenings. Cost 50.00 to receive the transmission. ralis
  6. Kunlun follow up poll

Are Jenny Lamb's teaching's similar to Kunlun? ralis
  7. Why the Taobums Can't Get Along

The whole concept of non-attachment is an illusion. If one is here, then one is attached to whatever phenomena one experiences. Even if a memory of a past event arises in the future, that implies an attachment to that event, since that memory is stored in the brain. Buddhists are very attached to their ideology of non-attachment. Seems as though escapism is what Buddhists are really after. The problems with the writings about the Buddha, are that the writings are from an ancient culture and may be irrelevant 2500 yrs. later. Remember, the Buddha wrote nothing and his sayings were passed down orally. Perhaps a bit of revisionism to fit certain belief systems (trance) occurred? Can anyone state beyond doubt that the Pali Canon is completely authentic? Perhaps, removing the memory centers of the brain might alleviate the constant pain of attachment. Ah, relief at last! ralis
  8. Just Googled and I could find nothing to substantiate your claim. I always take fish oil when I take arginine in the a.m. No problems here. ralis
  9. What is the interaction? ralis
  10. I have been using l-arginine for years and works wonders for me. Keeps weight off my waist and is great for the libido. Here is my morning recipe: 16 oz. rice milk blueberries 8 oz. lecithin 45 grams whey (Isopure brand that is 100% lactose free) almond butter 1 spoon full banana l-arginine honey Blend and enjoy. ralis
  11. Kunlun follow up poll

As I have stated before, the cosmos is not a safe place and when one begins tampering with something greater than oneself, all sorts of events take place. Unpleasant events can and will take place. Especially, when doing the types practices being discussed here. My advice to the ones who are afraid of Kunlun or any other energetic practice, think first of the consequences before diving into the deep. Once in, it is sink or swim. You decide. A few have come on here in an attempt to project their fear of the unknown without knowing what the unknown is. LOL!! Fear is the great destroyer. ralis
  12. Being Banned from Taobums

What you deem disrespect is your problem. I merely point out the flaws in your style of writing. Non-sequiturs are the most obvious. How can I debate you if you continually make sweeping generalizations and irrational statements. If you don't understand what I am talking about, read up on fallacious arguments. In my first philosophy class, I attempted to defend untenable arguments and my first paper came back with a lot of red marks. I learned very quickly to change the way I argued a case in point. "Acting like a child" is an ad hominem attack. BTW I am not that old! ralis
  13. Being Banned from Taobums

Fine. Have you paid for the ads at the bottom of every post? Why not address the problems I stated in my post? ralis
  14. Being Banned from Taobums

Are the promoters of various websites and products excluded from this prohibition? Stigweard promotes his website and services, Fivelementtao promotes his DVD's. Are these promotions paid for? If not, then should those be allowed on every post? The more egregious problems here, are the disrespect to each other during debates. Recently, I received a less than cordial PM from Mikaelz and was told to shut up by Lucky7Strikes. I am considering forwarding that PM to the moderators. ralis
  15. "there is such a self"

I think the moderators need to get involved here! You asked for my participation then you tell me to shut up. Amazing! ralis
  16. "there is such a self"

What I am saying is to relax and not take it too seriously. Relaxation is part of the process of being in Rigpa. Don't take my word for it, go ask Namkai Norbu. He will confirm what I just stated. ralis
  17. "there is such a self"

I don't need any belief system (ism) to assist me in directly experiencing the universe. I have had certain experiences as a child and during retreats in Death Valley Ca. that confirm this. Call it whatever you like, Rigpa, Non-Dualism or whatever. Debating from your head will get you nowhere. Lighten up and quit being so serious.
  18. "there is such a self"

    Sorry, I forgot. ralis
  19. "there is such a self"

According to your world view, the Buddha way is the only way? Christians and Muslims say the same thing. ralis
  20. "there is such a self"

When you state " the truth, one law", you are no different than any fundamentalist. ralis
  21. Kunlun and Demons

It seems as though there is projection of fear onto Max. Some of you may have been watching "The Exorcist" and too many teen horror movies. ralis
