  1. It is rare to come across one that has read Aurobindo. Mirra Alfassa also?
  2. I don't have a problem with the intricacies of life, but hypocrisy I loathe.
  3. Which meaning of Carrumba. There are various.
  4. I'm not hurt, but just pointing out my observations. Further, I don't talk about what my realizations are, given that it may lead to a misunderstanding. I don't even discuss what my practices are and I have good reason for that. In my town there are Amachi, Buddhist, Hindu, New Age and Advaita groups, among others. Most get lost in a trance with screwed up minds and never come down to earth. Life is about relationships and we all exist in relationship whether one accepts that or not.
  5. Yes it did as well as your laughing emoji's response!
  6. I did, but what does that have to do with your question?
  7. To all the non-dualists; even if you know the answers, there is rarely follow through for suffering humanity. It is a passive do nothing trance. Note it, be aware of it and god forbid, I'm not getting my hands dirty. Oh I might get a karmic disease.
  8. Therefor being a non-dualist you know all things non-dual?
  9. Why does anyone really care? After all, Tom Robbins in his novel "Another Roadside Attraction" describes the human species as a traveling flea circus.
  10. I was wondering that myself. Any titles come to mind so I can purchase such a book?
  11. Now there are correct non-dual answers?
  12. That is what I call it, but technically a pyrocumulus cloud. Looks nuclear and is amazing what nature unleashes.
  13. Fire cloud as seen from Taos NM. My point is that planet earth is in the real world and not some no self illusion. Homes and animal habitat destroyed.
  14. I remember reading about Sri Aurobindo's broken leg from a soccer game. As great of a yogi as he was he couldn't stop the suffering and pain. Opium probably worked just fine since it is plentiful in that part of the world.
  15. Exactly! For some reason I developed night vision to the always present subtle light. It is not pitch black at all. I wouldn't recommend it given that Western Diamond Backs tend to be aggressive and territorial.
  16. Alamo Canyon is around 800' deep, but not all cliffs. It was fun to scurry up and down the cliffs in the middle of the night, but what was interesting is I had some sort of night vision after a time.
  17. Some here don't share that view at all. Thanks
  18. In my younger years I would climb down into Alamo Canyon in the middle of the night with no moon or flashlight. The rattle snake encounter was in the same area. Really freaked me out!
  19. So physical and emotional are intertwined?
  20. I had an encounter with a 6' Western Diamond Back rattlesnake a few years ago. If I follow the no self logic then if I was bitten and had a realization of no self, all is well?
  21. Physical suffering is not separate from the emotional pain is that what you are saying? I will add to the bite category, a black widow bite on my left butt cheek, and a brown recluse bite to my left leg.
  22. This particular fire is an out of control prescribed burn. Another example of human stupidity.
