It is called the crash of 2008 before Obama took office. Get your narrative straight, but given your penchant for trolling I seriously doubt it.

To add, the Yellowstone calderas of which there are three are very active and forming a dome beneath Yellowstone lake. Lest we forget the Valles Caldera which sits just above Los Alamos National Labs is dormant and not extinct as was previously thought. Yellowstone would emit around 750 cubic miles of ash and pyroclastic debris/flow. The Valles Caldera is around 250 cubic miles. Both are capable of extinction and nuclear winter events.

Nature will have the last say. We are already in the 6th mass extinction and when keystone species are extinct, whole ecosystems will collapse. The honeybee is one example of a threatened keystone species.

I agree with the bold part, but the social dynamics of population has changed and become more complex.

The casino owners are hardly 'left wing'. Just ask Sheldon Adelson what his political views are. He pushed against the Cannabis legislation vote and he lost. Soon there will be public venues where anyone can vape in public. The casino bosses are not in favor of that, but will eventually come around.

That is land and not business. There are only a few cities with sometimes hundreds of miles of desert land in between. I have driven through most of it.

As I have said many times on this forum is that the humans species remains unevolved with great propensity to violence, with the lower reptilian brain stem as the predominate force. Apply just the appropriate stressor and all hell breaks loose.

The casinos have absolute control since the days of the mob. Also the casino industry has kept other forms of business from moving in, except construction.

I stand by what I have always said regarding the radical right wing. It has been showing in Congress with the healthcare issue and women's health access rights. The Vegas problem that I posted is part of a larger problem and if you read my post you would have seen that. What you fail to understand is that we are all part of a system and not separate islands in a sea of nothingness.

I spent some time in the Mojave Desert during the winter and chose to drive through North Las Vegas. The poverty and homelessness was horrifying to me. Poverty and homelessness are not isolated events, but are social problems that effect all of us. Part of a broken system that rewards the very wealthy and leaves behind the less fortunate. The radical right wing could care less if people are dying on the street for lack of housing, food and healthcare.

A king cobra wanders into an Indian village during a serious drought and must have been searching for water. Two villagers oblige the snake. https://gfycat.com/LightheartedCalculatingBackswimmer

Trumpcare went down in flames today!

Listening to 'Dark Side of The Moon', but the first half is all I can find. Acid rock at its finest! Bob Dylan's comments on rock and roll music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxHUuaVfE6o

I don't qualify since I am a Southwesterner.

Any chess aficionados or high level players here? I started playing a couple of weeks ago and a good friend of mine is beating me every game. Just not playing at a high level at this time and more experience is what I need. I am playing on an app from the Apple store.

I have been using the Chess Time app from the App Store.

Government involvement? I guess there should be no standards for a medical education?

This kind of freedom? Trump-loving former congressman hauled off in handcuffs for allegedly looting his own charity

Really? How much business are the pharmaceutical companies losing due to drug interactions, side effects and deaths? They have a captive audience.

Excellent point in that the neoliberals only care about deregulation and not about the potential harm ensued. It is an erroneous belief that corporations are somehow benevolent entities that care deeply for their consumers. Nothing can be further from the truth.

I will read your post later. In what capacity were you employed?

My game is improving somewhat and won the last match by playing in a more unorthodox fashion. The games we have been playing last up to a day since both of us lead busy lives.

It was a general side note of personal experience. That is all.

You really don't understand what I said. I stated that we are part of a complex system of life with no separate individuals which does not deny that individuals exist. That is all. No separation is what Buddhism teaches and nowhere did I say anything regarding forced labor or anything to that effect. Why not go out and do tonglen practice and discover as to what your place in this system is. The question is, can you handle the practice? If done correctly and a real connection, it can be most disturbing. I am going for a walk outside to enjoy the fresh air and light.

This thread is revealing in that as a species we are divided by myriad problems and working together is not a very strong point. Many of which are based on money and more money.
