Trump has business interests in Russia and many parts of the world. Given his narcissism, he may put business interests first which must be taken into consideration. He has stated that he will turn over all his business interests to his son to run the family business which is not a blind trust and may leave him open to conflicts of interest. In my business, I have had clients that show the same behavior patterns. Several still owe me large amounts of money. Two were lawyers. I don't trust him whatsoever!

We were at his concert at the Paolo Soleri here in Santa Fe over twenty years ago. Will never forget that night! He was soulful and a real poet. He will be missed! Given his divisive post on Twitter last night, it remains to be seen. I seriously doubt he understands the scope of being POTUS. There are stress points that he may not be able to handle in times of crisis and further, he has many potential conflicts of interest that most likely are not in the best interests of this country. Is he vulnerable to blackmail in a future scenario?

I think it is apropos to examine the double standards that men place on women and in the case of Hillary, the standard was much higher than Trump's. I needn't repeat Trump's transgressions here, but there seemed to be some biblical comparison between the two and as usual, males are usually given a pass (the story of King David comes to mind). I have seen references to Hillary's satanic influence over others or accusations that she is a witch cooking up spells. What the hell is this insanity? A repeat of a mad inquisitor's dream? It is important to go back and examine the Axial Age in which small disparate groups began forming more organized city states. Out of that arose the angry overarching monotheistic male god (patriarchal) as the main focus of worship which prevails today.

In terms of my posting, I was providing a context in which the inflammatory posts are not isolated to this site alone, but in a broader social context. However, I see from a moderators response that my comments are largely ignored and marginalized. I guess anything goes here in the name of free speech. From my point of view, I don't foresee anyone being banned for starting inflammatory threads.

Honestly, there are certain issues that require very little consideration and in the case of racism, the history of human affairs around this problem is patently clear. I need remind no one of the consequences of such behavior since the historical record is quite clear. Further, speech that may be characterized as isolated in the outset, tends to attract other like minded persons until a real problem arises. Group dynamics which are based on common themes of 'outsiders are the enemy' tend to spiral out of control. Thought policing? Humans have all kinds of thoughts, but posting certain thoughts can and will lead to unintended consequences. History is replete with such actions and is a harsh judge.

At what point in time will anyone be banned for the racism, anti-Semitism on this forum? I have been here off and on for years and not seen anything like this. Tired of it! BTW, I know others have complained about this recurring problem with their reports and posted remarks. I am not the only one. There are many people in this country that are in fear of the policies that Trump may implement which are persons of color and Muslims. I have always said that I am of mixed heritage and not pure Caucasian.

Actually, there is much video with him stating that he would deport Mexicans and Muslims. When a person running for POTUS makes outrageous and unlawful statements, I pay very careful attention. Not in the paranoid sense, but one of absolute distrust.

The divisiveness as seen on these threads is the result of demagogues pitting groups, nationalities, against each other. We will never work together as long as authoritarians are allowed and willing to divide and blame 'the other' for their own imperialistic gain.

Is this a pro military discussion and what are the ramifications of such actions? Such military action could get out of hand and to be clear, Mexicans are not coming across the border with guns. Most are hungry and dehydrated.

I have seen some discussion on that during the Bush years and there is controversy in regards to that. Further, repelling civilian invaders with lethal force is an act of war. Women and children would be killed and you would support that?

Violation of posse comitatus to let the military operate in the US. If it is up to the states then that complicates the matter. This discussion is moot.

Possibly is, but it will never happen anyway. Prevent tunneling and other breaches is what I believe Trump has in mind which increases the cost. Otherwise, it is a waste and Trump's folly.
