  1. Wang Liping in Jinhua 2008

Please don't confuse falun gong with anything taught by Master Wang. It's very insulting to associate Master Wang with that nutjob.
  2. Wang Liping in Jinhua 2008

There were foreign students from Europe and US in the seminar. Several hundreds people attended the seminar, you are only seeing a very small fraction of them in the photos.
  3. well that is assuming you know what is a "true method". what make you think that?
  4. I think I was misunderstood when I said contact me if you want to learn Yin Xian Fa. What i meant was if you are interested in learning from Shen Laoshi in a future seminar, I am not qualifed to teach any of these methods.
  5. Wudanspirit, I just wanted to point out what you said is unrelated to Master Wang lineage, it's not meant as a criticism but i was merely stating a fact. I learnt directly from Shen Laoshi who learnt directly from Master Wang, so i know that what you described has nothing to do with the teachings we have. Ken. p.s. also Longemn Pai is really big and has many sub-branches, not every branch has transmission of Ling Bao Bi Fa.
  6. The only comments i have are (1) Thomas Cleary has already translated the same things in Opening the Dragongate p.83, 93-94. (2) Merging yin and yang is a mistranslation of Pipei Yin Yang both literally and practically. Cleary translated it as "pairing the yin and yang" and i believed i translated it as "matching yin and yang" on my blog. (3) what wudansiprit said about yin xian fa is his own interpreatation, it's unrelated to Master Wang's lineage and is certainly different from the actual methods. (4) contact me if you want to learn yin xian fa
  7. Daoism: The Oral Tradition

Very nice article. I was actually going to write a short article on some of the things he presented here. He saved me some work.
  8. Longmen (Dragon Gate)

Hi, I am a beginner in Longmen Pai dandao. I learn from 2 teahers who are both part of the Longmen Lineage (there are many strands within the big Longmen Pai). One of them is the current senior student (in public anyway) of Master Wang LiPing of one of Longmen's northern branches, the other is from traditional southern lineage that can be traced back to great Ancestors Zhang Bo Duan and Bai Yu Chan. I maintain a blog of one of my teacher at longmenpai.blogspot.com I ecourage everyone to visit it.

Hi 松永道, It's true that neigong or qigong is very dangerous but that's usually due to (1) dubious practice from questionable lineage (2) lack of an authentic teacher. With Master Wang, these won't be an issue. Secondly Ling Bao Bi Fa will never be taught publicly, what will be taught is foundational practice of Longmen Pai. You just simply can't do Ling Bao Bi Fa without the foundational practice Yin Xian Fa, on one hand you will never find the actual methods of Ling Bao Bi Fa anywhere, on the other hand doing Ling Bao Bi Fa without foundation is like a child learning to weild a heavy sword, he won't be able to lift it in the first place and if he can lift it, he will likely cut himself in half. Yin Xian Fa allows the child to grow into a man in the analogy so that he will be strong enough and mature enough to wield the sword. Yin Xian Fa is extremely safe, even children can do it (older than 12), the drawback is it take dedication and hard practice to progress. Ken

hi r.w.smith, I think $7000 is a bit overestimated. The tuition is $3000 and it includes room and board. So all you need is the travel expenses. I just checked on expedia that flight from NYC to HGH cost ~$1500 (if you live in the west coast, it's probably cheper), add on top of that some incidental expenses of ~$100 (things are cheap in China) and perhaps $300(i am just guessing here, $300 is a lot of money for a Chinese) for a translator. So you are looking at total of ~$5000. OK that's a LOT of money but consider that 3000 RMB is probably a few years savings for most chinese who are planning to go (last i heard there are already hundreds who had signed up), you won't be the only one who feel pinched by the cost. Beside Master Wang, Shen laoshi is the best teacher out there who can teach you the same longmen pai materials. But he will be the first one to tell you he is a kindergartener in front of Master Wang. (but know that we are all kindergarterners in front of Shen laoshi, lol). So I really hope that a lot of you will be able to go. Ken p.s. i don't work for the organization who is planning the seminar, so i don't get anything by getting people to sign up. And to 松永道, I have no idea where you get this idea from and i doubt you have ever tried Longmen Pai practice. The materials people are going to learn in Jinhua will benefit ANYONE, especially if you have problems with your health.

I am surprised by a lack of interest in this thread. This is an incredible opportunity to learn from both Master Wang and Shen Laoshi. I thought a lot of you have been interested in finding Master Wang? Future seminars are not guaranteed and it could be your only chance to meet him! As long as you have a good translator, you will have an incredible experience. You can read about the experience in Master Wang's seminar from the earlier posts in my blog.

This is an incredible opportunity and I encourage everyone to go if you can. However you need to consider the followings: (1) As I mentioned before this seminar is geared towards Chinese or a least those who speak the language, if you don't speak the language, you need to hire a translator who can instantly translate the lectures. There will be real time daoyin and the translator need to translate instantly and you need to do the exercise immediately as directed by the lecturer. (2) It's planned to be a 500 persons class, individual attention will be limited (this applies to everyone in the class). If you cannot make it, I am organizing a seminar for western students in Mid-December with my respected teacher Shen Laoshi, this is a much smaller class ~10-12 and will be taught in English. The price is similar but there are only a few spots left so we can't take on too many more. If you are interested you can contact me. p.s. if you go to the Oct seminar, you will also meet Shen Laoshi, he will actually do a portion of daigong and lectures.
  14. Wizard Wang Liping?

The upcoming public seminar is really geared towards native and oversea Chinese, if you don't speak Chinese there is no point going. And even if you do, the anticipated demand is so much higher than the places available that there will probably be some kind of selection process. The details of the seminar hasn't been announced publicly yet but Yin Xian Fa, Ping Heng Gong, Zhineng Fa etc, i.e. all the important core materials are always taught. Master Wang and his main teaching assistant Shen Laoshi do teach foreigners in smaller classes, I keep a waiting list for people who are interested in learning and when there are enough interest and a consensus date can be confirmed, a seminar can be arranged with Shen Laoshi, most likely in China. About the price, 3000 RMB is a LOT of money for native Chinese, some students have been ordinary farmers and you can imagine how much hardship they went through to save up this much. The GDP per capita in the west is roughly 8-10 times more than China so the cost will be adjusted accordingly for oversea students, this is the only fair way.
  15. Wizard Wang Liping?

I believe the 3000 RMB is for native Chinese only. Like last year in Hainan, all foreigners including Chinese who lives in oversea paid the same amount in USD.
  16. Longmen (Dragon Gate)

I am not sure whether "Ling Bao Bi Fa" has been translated into English. Chinese version is all over the place on the web though.
