Looking for Proof of advanced taoist master's abilities

Why are you interested in this? -
I think you are forgetting that this thread is all about ME, glorious me. I don't see anyone posting a poll about you on this forum.
-
You really are the greatest. Hurray for you. Seriously though, that's awsome dude. Down with war.
-
I think I'm falling love. Are you this good in bed too?
-
Oh I am a big meanie.
-
I think Lozen may actually have developed a crush on me. Sorry, I'm taken. And please don't try to say you don't, it just makes it all the more obvious.
-
I'm neither mean nor overly polite. I just ask that people think before they start shooting their mouths off about me. If you have a legitimate criticism of my views, then state them clearly and directly and I will happily give you an honest and direct answer. But please don't come whining to me about your personality conflicts. You just sound like a teenager trying to start a fight. Have a point and be honest about it. Don't try and hide behind grandiose words and emotional babble about how my writing is somehow an attack against the validity of your spiritual existence. Buddhists don't pretend anything... wrong again. S

No idea Perhaps you can do some field research and report back to the forum.
-
I think you have Buddhism confused with the hippy movement of the 1960's. We're not sheep who just roll over and spread our legs when were being attacked.

I think the best advice is to do your practice and make your own investigation. It would be nice if science looked at spirituality with more interest, but that's something that we are a long way from delving into in terms of the whole world culture becoming more spiritual and introspective. For me personally, these truths, whether subtle or 'overt,' are so clearly real that I feel it's, like gravity naturally 'attracks,' very inevitable that science will naturally discover all of these things over time. It's an evolutionary process that's probably constantly being played out thoughout the universe in countless worlds. You should read Paramahasa Yogananda's epic auto biography. No one can read that book without becoming a believer in what I'm talking about. If you look long enough, eventually all the little pieces of the puzzle come together and become undeniable. People who are always doubting and saying powers and power in general are irrelivant are just in fear that maybe their practice lacks something because it has not reached this level yet. That's not to say that powers are the most important thing, but they are a reality and they are the signposts of spiritual progress; this is true whether we are talking about the wisdom power of Buddhism, or any other tradition, that transends all phenomena (meaning the physical world and all objects and the idea that they are real and inherently exist) or the reletive truth of the physical world that we operate in, in our current incarnation. S The truth is always sexy. -

As Wayfarer64 has implied, and I repeat... These "special powers" are not the endgame of Eastern philosophies. In Zen they are looked at as a distracting side effect not to be reveled in. Real practice is getting yourself on a meditation mat day in and day out. Exactly. -

Tsa, Don't listen to this crap. I want nothing but to share here. He has never practiced anything real in his life and spends his time socializing in the New York culture of art and poetry; I think he should stick to what he knows best instead of constantly attacking my so called 'claims.' What claims? Why doesn't he just present his practice that he thinks is so wonderful if he wants to add to the discussion? Because he doesn't have one. Look at Wayfarer's comments. He assumes you are this young, innocent 'lad' who's just finding your way. Give me a break. And now what? he's going to swoop down and set you straight? I didn't get the immpression that you were 'flowing' toward anything, least of all me! Wayfarer the fake Taoist has convinced himself that I am trying to 'seek power over other's spirit.' He really believes that I'm out to brain wash people and manipulate them over the internet. The guy is lost in a world of books and and self pity. There are plenty of great practices and 'ways' being presented on this forum. Mine isn't any better or worse, it's just different and it's not for everybody. By the way I would recommend Dzogchen if anybody's asking. I'm hardly 'pitching' that. And, I'm not interested in attracking any followers. Peace, Sean -

The website you have found is my teachers. He has directly received the blessing of both the Buddha and Padmasambava among others. If you meet my teacher you can ask him about it and see what kind of response you get. Both are correct. -
No, I'm actually not if you can believe it. No, and neither am I. Again, have you been drinking this evening? Are you just messing with me? Of course it is dear. In Buddhism we believe that the nature of our thinking or the nature of mind is God. All the masters I have met believe in and are devoted to a higher power. I think I made that really overly clear to anyone with basic reading skills in my previous posts. The masters I'm taking about would be appalled or dumb founded if anyone tried to worship them. This happens sometimes when David introduces people to a master and they become overwhelmed and start getting down on their knees. It's very embaressing to them and they really don't know what to make of it. It may have been spiked with LSD.

Just for future reference. I'm not making any claims that I or any master I've shared about are 'better' than anyone here or anyone elses teacher in the sense that what I have is some how intrinsically more valuable than what you have. I'm saying that in the specific area of Daoism and even spiritual practice in general there are some with more knowledge and experience and it might be interesting to examine that. This is not a reflection on your religion. What I'm not saying is that you are some how damned if you don't practice under one of my masters. This is such limited take on what I have shared here. I have included the recognition that there are many masters and systems that are excellent. I have great respect for the high level beings around world of all traditions. I'm in awe of the Christain tradition with it's saints and mystics; the Buddhist traditions with it's enlightened beings; the Muslem tradition with it's holy profits; the Hindu tradition with it's great yogis. I believe that we all have equal access to these things if we want to. Please stop making everything I say into a contest about whether or not your belief system is valid and find your own peace. I have said that great teachers and immortal beings are very rare. I think that probably is a a source of frustration for a small minorty here, but it's silly to keep focusing in on my writing here as some kind personal insult. We should all be thankful that beings like this even exist. It's crazy to say that all beings are on the same spiritual level. Are Gandi and Hilter both equally spiritually evolved with the same karma and plight. Are they both in bliss and equanimity? No, there are degrees of human evolution. There are adults and children; there are enlightened beings and human beings; there are saints and there are hungry ghosts. Stop pretending all reality is one big soup where everything is equal and the same and great. It's not. Be like the wise ant who knows the sugar from the sand. Have the ability to discriminate; if you don't your lost. S Are you drunk? Remarkable, I have some friends in Austrailia who might be interested in meeting your teacher. I will definitly pass this along. So amazing.

Actually she was pretty convinced her master was the be all and end all. That's why they call him the son of God. Lozen, I'm not saying my masters are better than yours. Stop buying into this idea. If you know a lot of people who can heal the sick I'm really happy for you. Just like I'm totally blown away by Mat Blacks teacher who sounds amazing. Maybe you should just try sharing your experiences instead of focusing on me so much.

Are you making an offer? It's called Dzogchen. The name means great inclusion because it includes all teachings of the Buddha including the Vajra Tantras. Try doing your home work. -
Get over yourself. If your teachers are really great wonderful, more power to you. Levitation is what used to happen to St. Teresa of Avila when she became so full of love that she literally floated for hours in divine rapture. You think it's any different for the masters I'm talking about? They are wonderful loving human beings who are very devoted to God. And I suppose you think healing the sick is a party trick too right? The masters of all traditions healed the sick with miricle power; sickness is not part of their reality. That's how high love can grow. To dismiss this and continue to meddle doesn't really make sense. It's a very unskillful view.

Martin Luther believed in saints and in Jesus and the benifit of miricle power. In fact Jesus was hi Guru. And he believed in offering money to the Church and paying the priests for spiritual instruction. He just felt that people shouldn't have to pay to get out of Hell. He was probably a neikung practioner like the Orthodox Greek Christians are. Luther used the Greek Bible by the way. Please stop taking what I have to say personally. It makes no difference to me whether you are interested in meeting a master. You are no less of a person for it, but don't meddle just to preserve your own views. S
