Grandist, From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surat_Shabda_Yoga): Sant Kirpal Singh, a contemporary Sant Mat guru, stated that "Naam" ("Word") has been described in many traditions through the use of several different terms. In his teachings [7], the following expressions are interpreted as being identical to "Naam": "Naad", "Akash Bani", and "Sruti" in the Vedas "Nada" and "Udgit" in the Upanishads "Logos" and "Word" in the New Testament "Tao" by Lao Zi "Music of the Spheres" by Pythagoras "Sraosha" by Zoraster "Kalma" and "Kalam-i-Qadim" in the Qur'an "Naam", "Akhand Kirtan" and "Sacha ('True') Shabd" by Guru Granth Sahib The more recently promulgated Quan Yin Method of meditation espoused via the spiritual teachings of Supreme Master Ching Hai has notable similarities to Surat Shabd Yoga. ...MasterPath is another contemporary American movement of Surat Shabda Yoga. [8] The founder and current Living Master, Sri Gary Olsen, contends that several historical figures are Sat Gurus of Surat Shabda Yoga as representatives for the eternal Inner Shabda Master. A few of these Living Masters of their times include Lao Tsu, Jesus, Pythagoras, Socrates, Kabir, the Sufi Masters and mystic poets Hafez and Rumi, the Ten Sikh Gurus beginning with Guru Nanak, Tulsi Sahib, and the Radhasoami/Radha Soami and offshoot Masters, including Shiv Dayal Singh, Baba Sawan Singh and Sant Kirpal Singh. [9]" It's all the same, only the names have changed Matt

This stuff is amazing (also alkalines the system): http://www.empoweredherbals.com/ I also juice vegetables and fruits in a juicer. I used the Reishi mushroom supplement for the better part of a year and really noticed nothing. Matt

Michael, I just learned about organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar for acid reflux. Only been using it a couple days and the difference is unbelievable. More info here: http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/acid_reflux.html You can scroll down the page a bit until you see "REMEDY #1: APPLE CIDER VINEGAR" Matt

GT, "Treasures of Tao" by David Twicken contains a section on Chinese Astrology. You are more than welcome to borrow my copy. I am getting a book out of the library on this topic. I will post if it is good. Let me know if you come across anything that you think is good as well. Later, Matt

Leslie, I have met people in person that are either on this board or were on the older HT board. All I can say is that it has always been a wonderful experience. The sharing, learning, and experiences can be incredible. I am defintely interested and hope that I can attend. Great idea! If it is in a place I will be able to attend I would be happy to volunteer to lead a group meditation or whatever you need that I can help with. Matt

That is the way I understand it. There are two energetic issues here. One with the energy loss during ejaculation and the other for the energy required to reproduce the lost sperm. Your post reminds me of an anatomical drawing by Leonardo da Vinci in the excellent book "Sex and Spirituality", pg 44. It depicts physical tubes from the penis into the spinal column. To me I take it as demonstrating esoteric knowledge especially since Leonardo knew from many dissections and observations that these tubes did not exist. Matt

Hi Cam, In the intro to 10 bulls it says that "the bull is the eternal principle of life, truth in action". The intro also says that the "ten bulls represent sequent steps in the realization of one's true nature". Matt

There is a chapter in "Autobiography of a Yogi" about a woman yogi who didn't need to eat , here is a link: http://www.ananda.org/inspiration/books/ay/46.html -
I finally read the book Zen Flesh , Zen Bones. I really enjoyed it. There is a nice intro on the "10 Bulls" which explains that the bulls in the drawings were based on previous Taoist bulls. As long as it's not based on BullS^%$ Ahem, anyway, I didn't realize what the bull represented prior to reading the intro when I had read the 10 Bulls before. Now it all makes sense. Great book Cam! Very interesting Ian. Would you mind clarifying what this warm feeling indicates and also if you are referring to the front location around the sternum? Thanks, Matt

SunDog, I am laughing my ass off about the lifelong distaste for vacuuming perhaps my wife would say that was true:) But no, I am fine with vacuuming. The only thing I have are some scars inside my mouth. I was pretty young so I really don't have any recollection of it. Regards, Matt

Hi Bill! I actually didn't study with Glenn but did a lot of meditation and energy stuff with people that did Kundalini work with with him. So I don't know anything more. Regards, Matt Thanks for the offer GrandTrinity! I am going to be in VT most of Sunday. I like how he linked it all as well. Where are you living now? In the area? Matt

When I was a toddler I bit into a vacum cleaner cord while it was on. It knocked me out but I survived. Not the same as lightening but at times I have thought that it had something to do with my sensitive nature and ability to accomodate the spiritual lightening bolt that I experienced later in life. But then after having children and observing our common traits, I don't think it meant much at all.
