LOL! Plantard sure put on a good hoax with this Priory stuff, it just won't go away HG
  2. Starman returns

LOL! After reading through this thread all I can say is that... ...if we all pool together then we might get a pretty decent discount on group therapy. And after that, if we are really lucky, perhaps a trendy off-white straight jacket with a wicked "I was on the Bums" slogan printed on the back Seriously... ...you Daoists...what would Lao Tzu or even his donkey think of all this? HG
  3. the tao bums map

Wait a minute!!! You guys have food AND beer? My God, I can't wait until the guys hear about this! Prepare to be invaded!!! HG
  4. the tao bums map

Hagar, I think you might be right. It must be the deadly I**A worm in action! Although as a tool for world domination, I feel it could use some improvement because it seems to affect Swedish male specimen in exactly the same manner... Must write customer services and complain. Speaking of customer service? What service? You need to lower your wages so that we can get those few service minded people to come home again. Please? Oh...and you can consider Sommartorpet well overdue payback for a whole generation of children having to grow up while watching Fleksnes re-runs on the telly during prime time...muahahaha! Yoda, Yesssssssssssssssss...yessssssssssssssss...and it is sufficiently comfortable without being flashy too...isn't it... HG
  5. the tao bums map

Hagar, Ah, yes! The good old days of war, pillage and plunder Of course, we have since then devised a much less obivious and far more sinister plan for world domination. Furniture. You may not be living on Swedish territory but we won't stop until your chairs, desks, kitchens, sofas, tv-benches, shower curtains and beds are all designed by us. And to give you a false sense of "freedom", we let you assemble them yourself too, while convincing you that they are somehow cheaper than the competition. Tremble, world, tremble.
  6. the tao bums map

Hagar, So far there are only two people from Sweden on the map but I am pretty sure there are more members from around here. All the best HG
  7. Ironpalm.com?

Not legit and all about getting your hard earned $$$, buyers beware. HG
  8. The Max Christensen Facts Not Fiction Thread.

apepch7, About the idea of a black hole at the centre of the sun, are you thinking about the theories of Russian physicist Trofimenko and the heating of objects in space through Hawkins radiation? HG
  9. The Max Christensen Facts Not Fiction Thread.

It's been awhile since I took my uni physics classes but I do not remember anything about a vacuum producing energy at the centre of the Sun. A nuclear fusion process on the other hand, primarily via the proton-proton cycle, is something that I do seem to remember. HG
  10. Grandmaster Zhang

I just saw this thread and decided to share my own experiences. I have ordered a couple of items from Master Zhang's organization in the past. My orders were handled by one of his senior students due to Zhang being in China. I was given a very polite treatment, any questions I had before ordering were promptly answered and the order was shipped to another continent within a week after placing it. The video quality was bad but the information was clear enough to understand. Also I was given the option of ordering the DVD's instead but decided to go with the VHS. HG
  11. Kunlun Level 2

Well duh! That's why it is called "shallow water blackout", isn't it. Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Something very similar can happen out of water as well, hence the posting of that link. Now, didn't I state that the provided links were just a starting point for people actually interested in these things? This forum is really becoming annoying since people don't even bother to read properly anymore before replying. And to clarify even more, I am not against breath retention exercises since I've been doing them myself for about twenty years. I am however suggesting that they shouldn't be taken lightly. Clear enough? Who am I kidding, nothing is ever clear enough on here. Have a good life everyone. HG
  12. Kunlun Level 2

WTF monkey brains...? Where did I say something bad about Kunlun in my post? It was on breathing for *insert favorite curse word here* sake!!! I didn't know you could brain wash a monkey but I guess it is possible? Appologies to the rest of the forum members for this going completely off topic, btw. HG
  13. Kunlun Level 2

Heh...so are you now saying that I will look like you in that picture AFTER I learn kunlun... ...better stay clear then. HG
  14. Kunlun Level 2

Yeeeeahh...right...whatever monkey boy... Oh, by the way...I found a picture of you on the internet... http://hydepark.hevre.co.il/upload0507/200...ier_Upclose.jpg HG
  15. Kunlun Level 2

Ape huh? More like a monkey... Now shut up and eat your banana like a good prosimian... HG
  16. Kunlun Level 2

Spirit Ape, No one is questioning the practise, I am just stating a concern (and it comes from personal experience) that someone might overdo it and get hurt, that is all. It is always a good idea to read up a little before doing any practise that will alter your body chemistry. No? Now, what I really wonder is...do spirit apes eat spirit bananas because I'd reckon 'em peaches are still far away...? HG
  17. Kunlun Level 2

If you guys are thinking about doing this stuff, then please read up on what happens in your body during breath retention. Some of these things, like the blackouts sneaking up on you, can happen during meditation as well if you mess up your breathing too much. These provide a starting point, there's more detailed info out there as well, just search for apnea, hypercapnia and respiratory distress. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apnea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shallow_water_blackout Please be careful with these kinds of practise and if possible have someone keep an eye on you. Stay safe. HG

  20. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

WYG, Yeah, it is interesting to see how people try to shift the thread in other directions... they really love you on here...totally and unconditionally, hahaha! I think it is clear why they won't answer some of those questions. And if people still want it after that, well, each to his own I say. No matter, at least we got a few honest answers, better than nothing. I am done with this topic. Oh, hey, just remembered, did you get that PM I sent you on oligonucleotides...?
  21. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

Scotty, Thank you for your polite reply. Good to see that these things can be discussed in a civilized manner. Knowing every system in existance would indeed be a neat trick... But regardless of who told the 1 hrs =100 yrs thing first, wasn't it still used for marketing purposes when Kunlun was launched? It was definately mentioned on this forum. Well, I agree with you here. I do think that statements regarding something being "quick, quick, quick" (or however many quicks there were) are very easily misunderstood but undeniably effective marketing slogans...lol. Ah, I have to disagree with you there. If you are talking about the practise from this thread http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showto...&hl=red+sun then it is actually quite common and not that powerful at all. It can be tough the first times you do it though. It can also be a bit dangerous and really shoudn't be done without someone monitoring you. That goes for any practise with the potential to alter your blood pH. The exact outline of this practise will vary from school to school, of course, but the basics are the same. Heck, I even remember seeing a version of it in a book by ASHIDA KIM when I was a kid, hahaha. That should tell you a thing or two about how common it is...LOL! Heh, so your not putting others down, just telling the truth??? Hahaha, I am not even going to touch that one... Speaking of which, if you don't mind me asking, as a practitioner of Kunlun, how do you feel about the issues regarding altered lineages? Does it bother you or not that important? HG
  22. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

Mal, You beat me to it Cat, Wir haben Pflichtmitten in der Heineplatz. HG
  23. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

Asprin, Thanks for the love, can always use some... ...what the.... ...hey, is that your hand on my ass??!!! I know your tricks... LOL! *Big bonus points to the one who recognizes the movie I borrowed those last lines from...think Saturday Night Live* Mantra68, Some of those were pretty darn funny... ...but once again the discussion shifts towards who is what instead of what is or is not not...and this time it is the Kunlun side of the fence that shifts it in that direction. I think it is pretty clear that the majority of people who attend the Kunlun seminars are very happy with both the teacher and the teaching, so that really isn't the issue. I think it is great you are helping people live better lives If all personal quibbles can be set aside for a while, it would however be interesting to understanding some of the claims that have been made about the school itself. I am thinking about things like: - one hour of Kunlun is equivalent to a hundered years in other systems (from a thread last year). - calling it the fastest way to enlightenment (which implies that other methods are inferior). - claiming that for instance the Egyptian methods, mentioned on this thread, are more powerful than Daoist methods (once again, there is an air of superiority towards other systems). Look, I know what it's like to be passionate about what you practise, we all are, that is why we put up with the hardship for years on end. But there really is no need to make outrageous claims or to put others down in the process. About the Egyptian methods and the questions on this thread, considering how the origins of the method now known as Kunlun were altered, is it really that strange to find people are sceptical towards any sources claimed afterwards?
