I'm not going to go through and give you technical things that he's missing. If you actually do train with a temple master then you'll get the answer yourself.

My tai chi journey started with Gary. I bought his DVDs way before I contacted my Sifu. I decided to look into his "qualifications" which lead me to Master Liao. He travels so much that I decided to call an ordained master of his and here I am on the next chapter of my journey. So no, I didn't buy Gary's stuff to compare it my Sifu. I bought it first, before ever speaking with anyone else.

I'm not qualified to give instructions on certain exercises as I myself am a student. If you're interested in Temple Style I'd recommend looking at the taichitaocenter.com There are certified Temple Masters outside of Chicago so depending on your location you might be in luck. My Sifu is in Florida for example.

You have three phases of tai chi training. 1 physical 2 mind training ( neigong) 3 spiritual Cayman's material has no advanced spiritual training in it. His material is 1 and 2 from the above list.
