  1. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

So now I'm an asshole who has no class? While you didn't directly call me classless you DID call me an asshole. I feel honored. I actually made a thread dedicated to you but unfortunately it got deleted. So "Charles" , who is your master? Can you atleast let slip the name of "your" taoist system?
  2. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

Let's not dance this dance because you actually threatened me in a PM. I keep my PM's too.
  3. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

Actually you pretty much came out and said he wasn't practicing real taoism. Go back and reread your rant about how Norse Taoism doesn't exist and how "your" taoism is the only real taoism. Mal- I understand that as a Mod you have a duty but just because he says he's not EW doesn't mean that's the truth because if it works that way then I'd like to introduce myself as Master Wang Liping, and I'm doing online consultations and training for 2k USD.
  4. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

Denial doesn't equal truth. Why aren't you answering the question posted by Sloppy?
  5. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

5ET told you exactly where to look. I found the answer on his website. If I can do it you can certainly do it. I wouldn't have made a topic or even had posted had you not responded in typical EW/EJing/WuJing manner. And to all of you waiting in anticipation for a response as to who his teacher is? You won't get one. If he even utters the name of any TS Masters then he'll only degrade them because of his reputation. Don't associate any Temple Style Masters with Electric Gravity. EG isn't an instructor, assistant instructor or even an official student. He purchased Clyman's DVD system with bad checks. EG, have you paid RH any kind of money or services since you've been talking with him?????? Also, because of the horrible turn this thread has taken, I'm buying your book for sure.
  6. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

I apologize to 5 for jacking his thread. I look forward to the book.
  7. [split] off topic ping pong with "electric gravity"

EG= http://www.edgeofgrace.net/2010/06/19/qigong-quacks-frauds-and-dangerous-egos/ There's another post from the author of the above link that actually goes and says how nice Gary is. EG dabbles in Lightarian Reiki and what bits and pieces of Temple Style he actually knows. EG doesnt actually have a "real" master unless you count phone conversations as real. It's a bummer that this guy is actually causing damage to the authentic lineage because the Masters that I know of are nice and caring.
  8. Xing Shen Zhuang Levels 1-3

I believe that DV may have wanted or "expected" his masters to just bestow great power upon him and when he found out that he had work to put in then he jumped from master to master although I dont know him and it's pure speculation which of course is as useful as a cup with the bottom cut out. I think most people go through a few stages in their training. 1. Awe-cant believe they found something so great 2. Doubt-wondering why they cant zap people or fa jing or do telepathy, etc. 3. Jump ship to another lineage People have minds that often weaken and then they doubt their training and teacher and then leave. My only real piece of advice would be for those who train to just "relax" and let go. Real progress should come in terms of spiritual progress.
  9. Xing Shen Zhuang Levels 1-3

I love a good debate My friend, I have to step in and intervene. It seems that whether by accident or on purpose you are spreading misinformation. The Mo Pai and Tenaga Dalam share many similarities so instead of just singling out the Mo Pai I'll use the TD as my examples... Before I start, please dont take any of these in any insulting way. 1. If you have any actual basic energetic knowledge on TD or even any book knowledge on TD then you can clearly see that XSZ will benefit your practice if you do so before hand. XSZ clears your energetic channels and allows your chi to flow freely. Now, just because XSZ isnt taught in the Mo Pai doesnt mean it cant be beneficial, especially when starting level 2a. XSZ clears your channels and allows chi to flow nicely to the lao gong, in one of the exercises. 2. In regards to cutting your cords. When you get to that level, you simply dont just "let it happen". You have to "perform" to get it done. Just because the Mo Pai does this doesnt mean that all people need to do this. All real methods have a stage where you have to "push" to get a break through. In the Mo Pai, this is that push. You build up the fuel, compress the fuel and then apply the fuel. 3. I dont know anything about a book, cant comment on that. 4. I would agree that David is "stringing" out what little he may know. This isnt so different than alot of other "masters". I would also like to ad that if someone asked me if it were a good idea to train in any kind of breathing method that involves breath holding, I would say no, unless supervised by a real instructor and I would ad that the Mo Pai and TD dont resonate with me in any way and I'm already in a lineage and love it way too much to "cheat" on it. I'm getting a certain vibe that you compare your experience with everything else and therefore think that your way is the only way. Not that you're wrong because if you stripped your experience down the bare essentials then the basics in your alchemy is the basic in all alchemy. It seems as though the Mo Pai and TD are COMPLETELY different than your path and certainly mine in terms of technique but the theories are identical. Compression The most kind regards
  10. Military Training

To the OP, I was in the Navy for a very short while but I can certainly say that it didnt make me any kind of non thinkin "zombie" or take away my individuality at all. Obviously Unit Cohesion was stressed but that's in any "workplace". Anyone who isnt workin together or getting along, in any field, is frowned upon, regardless of whether it's the military or health occupation or whatever. The military can be a really great experience if you let it. When people think "military" they either think about "Army Green" or "Jarheads" when that's not it at all. You can go into some other field besides infantry. They have construction fields, medical fields, admin, hell ANYTHING you can think of they have. The military is a self-regulated entity. Infantry isnt even all that bad if you're fighting for something you believe in. Personally I dont believe in what we are doing right now but then again, I wouldnt be an infantry guy now either. Another great thing about the military besides job skills is the college funding. I dont know if they still do it but the Navy was giving out 40k ontop of the GI Bill. Not bad if you ask me. Politics aside, do I think the military is a good choice? Yes. With that I would add, think about what you want to do with your life outside of the military and then find the branch that offers that choice and join that branch.
  11. Yang Short Form DVD?

Why not Long Form? You can do the first 36 moves at one month intervals so after 3 months you'll be doin the whole 108?
  12. Tenaga Dalam

If memory serves, you have negative and positive energy. Negative in this sense doesn't mean "bad". Prana and chi are interchangable
  13. Question on Breath

Your brain is freaking out because it thinks you don't have enough oxygen when you really do. There's breath training in swimming. I think we called it "hypoxia swimming" but I can't remember. We would use the side stroke and only turn our heads up for air on every other stroke, and then every other other stroke etc. Basically any anarobic exercise will help because your body becomes more effective at using the oxygen better. After doing those swimming techniques I could perform underwater pass/fail swims with ease. How does this help you? Well it sounds like your body might be freakin out because it isn't used to the slow breathing, you'll adapt though. Practice at every free moment you have.
  14. What is Tai-Chi?

Very nice I cant say I wouldnt like to go because the lifestyle there is awesome but then again I'm not familiar with Chen Style.
  15. What is Tai-Chi?

Rampin up was probably a poor choice in wording because it is quite literally condensing your chi into your bones until it turns into a higher vibrational enery-jing. I dont practice Iron Shirt. The way we describe it is Gold Bell training and the energy is something that's naturally occuring when you train with condensing BUT that doesnt necessarilly mean you'll be able to use it as such. There is additional training that must be done unless you just keep condensing and condensing and condensing because after a time, your jing ( from earlier ) will increase in vibration and become something entirely different. At that point Gold Bell is pointless.
  16. What is Tai-Chi?

To simply say that tai chi is a martial art would be really stripping it of it's real value. When the topic of tai chi arrises you have 2 seperate schools of though. 1. It's a basic health building exercise, nothing more. 2. It's an internal, chi building, way of life. I train with school number 2. Tai chi is moving meditation. Flowing through the Tao you build chi and release blockages. After establishing a good base you then move onto chi conversion. Pushing chi into your marrow ramps up your chi to jing. The basic theory goes flow, grow, condense, enlighten. The problem arrises when you either 1) stop practicing 2) mix in other practices or 3) you just dont do it enough. Tai Chi isnt a martial art. It's a way of life. It's a way to reunite with the Tao.
  17. Mo Pai Techniques for Healing

You wont develop anything through the mo pai. Healing? Pick Spring Forest Qigong. If you want a quick crash course in what to expect in the mo pai then take a course in tenaga dalam. Buy the tridaya course, the breathing is basically the same as in level 2a. If you really have any idea as to what you're doing, energetically, then you can find level 1 and 2a in the book, magus of java, with the exception of the hand/arm gestures for the standing meditation. Bottom line though, you will not develop any kind of healing ability because no one is going to teach you far enough to develop that plus it'll take way to long
  18. To ejaculate or not to ejaculate...

You could very well be addicted to ejaculating. I can say this " I find that if I have a drink or two after 2 weeks I feel alot better, not always but sometimes. If I resist the drink long enough and then slam it, I notice I feel better". Now I understand that saying youre addicted is pretty extreme but just take a look at it and see if that's the case. One goal of any type of meditation should be to develop stronger will power. Submitting to the wants of the body is something that everyone should work on. If you need to ejaculate, your body will due so in the form of a nightly emission. Nevermind my ignorance on the subject edit: spelling
  19. My Dantien is < 2% full

You dont just simply "connect" to it however. The most basic beginning dantien exercise in my lineage will only allow you to locate your dantien and feel the flow of your natural chi. I would call that a connection. However, performing that exercise over and over doesnt do any good. This doesnt allow for you to have powerful energy all the time, unless I'm misunderstanding you. This is of course my own uneducated opinion but here it goes. You have 2 main types of cultivation. 1 is based on healing the body and the other is based on advancing the human beyond our first stage. An example of healing would be Xing Shen Zhuang or even simple tai chi flowing exercises. The second type would be anything that deals with compressing one of the 3 treasures and turning it into the next form. Real power comes from compression training, whether you compress in the dantien or the bones, you need compression. I'm not saying that you cant develop a fair amount of energy from constant practice but the bottom line is that you need to cook it. A few things that will bring power Gtummo, Tenaga Dalam, Neigong similar to Mo Pai, Internal Tai Chi and then whatever you'd classify Liping's system as, all of those can and will bring about alot of energy. As to the safety of those? A good teacher is the best safety net but I'd say train in Tenaga Dalam, Tai Chi or Liping's system. Dont be confused when I say tai chi. Alot of tai chi is just an empty shell of what was once a powerful, yet safe and effective way to build internal power. However, this power , IMO, isnt solely martial...scratch that, this is for another thread. I guess when it comes to it, I dont really know anything. Excuse the rambling
  20. MJBecker brought the pro and Hundun brought out the con. I dont exactly see the problem. It's a spirited debate here, nothing wrong with it. I cherish the opinions of both Becker and Hundun and having personally met and trained with Hundun, I can say with absolutely undesputable certainty that Hundun has juice. A good debate is one without insults and foul language conducted in such a manner that both parties walk away feeling that they did the best they could about getting the point across without being disrespectful.
  21. First food experience

I was walking around, enjoying the people, the site and the smells when my stomach started to argue with me about my slacking on the tao of stomach fullness. I decided to walk up to "Jungle George's" and see what was on the menu. Believe it or not: Alligator on a stick and burgers Llama burger Ostrich burger Dried Scorpions Lion Burger I was toying with the idea of a Lion burger, arguing agaisnt eating such a magnificant creature but then the "well if I dont eat it someone eles will" arguement came up so I decided to get a Lion burger and a scorpion. As I was sinking my teeth into the burger I had a wave of guilt but decided that it was best if I consumed it because I'm atleast sharing an intimate experience with this no extinct animal. Now up to this point, I've never actually paid any attention to what I was eating, as to the feeling. After biting, chewing and swallowing the first bite, I could feel chi slowly follow the food down my throat, into my stomach, but then settling lower in my dantien. I stopped in amazement and then took my next bite. Same thing. I soon forgot the sites, the people and the smells because I could feel the chi from the Lion burger, which leads me to believe that it was put to rest not too long ago. Now on to strange happening number 2. I had been toying with the idea of when I should eat the scorpion and decided that since my stomach had digested the Lion and was feeling quite well, although rather light, that now was the time to sample bizarre eats number 2. I pulled the scorpion out after a few lengthy minutes of admiring how well put together a scorpion is and just held it. After just a second of holding the scorption I felt an electrical chi net blanket my palm. Spark after spark of chi tingle. Again, I was quite stunned. I've my share of great experiences but hadnt ever had a food induced one. I let the scorpion sit there for a few moments before thanking it for the nurishment and consuming. I did the same thing for the Lion as well. I dont care to eat meat much but when I do, I give thanks. In case youre wondering, the Lion had a very distinct, sweet and gamey taste. Somewhat similar to deer but much sweeter and yet different. The scorpion had a stale peanut taste. edit: added scorpion experience
  22. First food experience

And I would call it a unification until defication The guilt is and has always been associated with not personally killuing the animal myself, IOW, I don't know how it was put down and I also don't know if it was free range or not. In case you're wondering I have done some hunting. I've been fishing and also deer hunting. Missing a fatal shot due to an amature error led me to "bleeding out" my first deer. That was a very intense experience for me. Again, very intimate. I developed a deeper appreciation for animals in general but especially during consumption. I've also reached a point in training where I'm a conduit for emotions. That could be the reason for elevated guilt with bouts of bliss. It definitely made going to the fair very interesting. Fighting back tears while walking through the animal nursery and then purging a lot of nervous energy wading through the crowds...interesting times.
  23. First food experience

So many thoughtful and colorful responses It's difficult not to hold a lion higher up than a cow or a chicken although to do so isn't fair to any of them. With that said I don't allow much meat in my diet. I like to follow Dr. Furhman's dietary recommendations but every now and again I have a bit of meat. People often forget the intimacy involved with eating. You're taking something and uniting it within your body. That's a very intimate experience and I don't understand why people just share that with anything and everything. I did have a bit of guilt, as I do when I eat any kinds of meat but I follow the internal flow of my body. Now just to kind of clarify, I don't give my body what it wants but what it needs. Anyhow, I appreciate the responses and hope they keep flowing.
  24. Nothing Important

Greetings from... I try not to attach myself to things but my display name shows that I dont follow that because I am a Tai Chi Addict. My style? The style of styling without styling. I follow the Tao, although I'm not giving my teacher credit where credit is due. His name is....and he teaches... Giving a name to my style and my teacher would take away the value of both. Nameless
  25. Tenaga Dalam

There's a very basic commonality in all effective systems. Tenaga Dalam, if you have even a basic understanding as to how chi works, is obviously effective. The only actual problem I could see is that the condensing starts when you should have a base built first. Trying to condense something when you have nothing just makes it alot more difficult to progress. I would like to point out however that you should never buy an empowerment online. If you want reiki, do it in person. Qigong? Do it in person. I say this because a true empowerment is difficult to comeby, especially one that can be sent effectively via long distance. Now I am aware that some are capable of doing this but most, especially on the internet, are frauds. Dont let the review that you posted leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. My undeducated and pointless opinion.
