EW, What is it you actually KNOW about real tai chi? Maybe you can go into detail about it? I dont mean your experience with TW or MLNK but beyond that practice, what do you KNOW?
-
With so many varying opinions on it I'm not sure what to make of it. I've had several experiences with it before, starting back further than I can remember but I've noticed that if I'm "practicing" quite a bit then I dont have them but if I make up excuses and stop practicing then they occur. My SP experiences are all the same though. My mind is awake and aware but my body is paralyzed. I can see anything and everything but no entities or anything like that. Sometimes I just lay there and observe but usually I just "jolt" myself out of it.

the power, to send, Qi, Chi, energy, out of the body!

Completely inaccurate. The Thunder Mind School is based on a method very similar to, if not the same as Gary Clyman IOW Temple Style Tai Chi. You train everyday just so that you can manifest outside of your body. People start talking about power and then a huge debate over whether or not you can train to attain begins. The answer is YES. YES you can train to perform. Tenaga Dalam can produce results in 2 weeks. You can make eggs harder to break, bulbs, etc. Iron Palm as well. This training is no different than strength training. You need the drive of motivation to put in the effort. You need the right training regiment. I would say that most people would tell you that it's better not to dwell on power but if that's what keeps you motivated then whatever. I also think that most people who say not to dwell on it are the ones that dont have "it". This of course is my opinion and I know nothing. -
THe book I have is The Ancient Art of Lazhu Fangfa. I also have his DVD. In the DVD he does arm circles and puts out the candle throughout the entire dvd while explaining or I should say defining certain principles. I was disappointed with the book. When I said informational, I meant like a dictionary. It's a tai chi dictionary basically. Personally I was a bit bummed with it. He does go into some detail about the different levels of training which was pretty cool and the bit about flying was cool too. DVD? Take a pass.

His "style" didnt really resonate with me. In one of his DVD's you can hear his child in the background being really noisy, albeit playfully noisy and not crying I just thought it a bit unprofessional. If you pay $100 for a DVD then I'd like to think that it's going to be his undivided attention. I couldnt watch it all the way through so I cant comment on the material but I can say that I wont ever buy from him again. If I were in Hawaii maybe I'd visit him out of curiousity.

It's informational, not instructional.

Interesting read. Have fun Make your own decisions...

I'd rather have an actual conversation with my own shit than ever go on bullshito. If it's not a physical martial art then they dont care about it. The Randi Foundation Challenge is the usual arguement against chi related ANYTHING. Bullshito sucks. -

I may have recommended Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy but after the whole ninja sword and uzi incident I think that it may not be a good idea. I've only ever glanced through the book, stopping in spots much longer than others because alot of the material doesnt really resonate with me. With that said I do think that he has a good step by step on bone breathing but the material isnt anything new, it is really detailed though. I dont know Eric personally but with the whole denial of what really happened coupled with his obviously psychotic anger issues leads me to believe that the practices in his book may not be such a good idea. Either he quit training completely or his practices arent very grounding. Look, I understand that he's human and I understand that anyone can backslide in their progress but I personally think that pulling a sword and swearing to blow up a club coupled with the excuse that he was a working mercenary, means he's a bit delusional. If you absolutely must drink the Cool-Aid then by all means go ahead. I'm broke so this isnt really even 2cents. Blessings

Eric, I'd happily look you in your eyes and call bullshit. I'm not buying your whole mercenary story with your ninja sword and your uzi. I'm happily married and have a wonderful daughter dispite the faults that I have. I'm a nobody and I dont think that I'm above anyone. I think that people who are in the spotlight and call themselves "Master" should actually own up to their mistakes, like a responsible adult. This topic doesnt even concern me so I doubt I post in here anymore. You can PM me if you'd like to take this conversation further. This was taken from another post..maybe you could clear this up for anyone who was actually thinking of learning from you. Monday, August 01, 2005 NEW YORK Is that a samurai sword in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? The answer was a resounding yes and no for New York sex-book author Eric Yudelove. On Tuesday, the 58-year-old Syosset, L.I., resident was busted for allegedly threatening a strip-club bouncer with a Japanese-style sword. But later in the week, out on bail, he allegedly stole his own car from a police impound lot, returned to the strip club and threatened to blow it up. At first, the author of "Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy" was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, after allegedly waving the sword outside the Hustler Club on West 51st Street. Cops said he'd taken the sword from his vehicle after a dancer rebuffed his advances. "He started bringing her presents and becoming a bit of a pain in the a**," a police source said. "When it became clear she wasn't interested in anything other than his money, he went to see the manager and demanded she be fired." When those demands fell on deaf ears, he became unruly and was thrown out, the source said, only to return "a few minutes later ... waving the samurai." Cops added that they later found an Uzi automatic weapon in his vehicle. And as if that weren't enough, the bailed-out Yudelove, whose real name is Eric Steven Edelstein, allegedly took his car out of the NYPD pound without permission, drove back to the club and vowed to blow it to smithereens. Police re-arrested him at his home on Saturday. Now he's charged with tampering with evidence, intimidating witnesses and making terrorist threats. So you know them both personally? You know them both outside of the forum? Sparkle is pushing his book. That's obvious because she mentions it several times. When someone questioned the events that took place at the stripclub his defense is that he's a ninja assassin. Noone else finds these things odd? I refuse to drink the Cool Aid.

Soooooooooooooo, .....Drew bombards the forum with SFQ material and everyone is readying the stake for a burn trial but when Ol'Diane here is shoving post after post about her amazing husband and his superhuman love making ability nobody cares? Ok ok so she's keeping it to this topic only but does her post even count considering she's his husband and they have books they need to sell? I have one of his books and I do think the material is OK, not all but some. This just all sounds very D&Dish to me...the whole Dragon Master thing and the whole "I'm his wife and he's amazing" yada yada. All I'm getting at is that it seems a little too contrived. I could be completely wrong of course. I do believe that SFQ works and that there's a small chance David V actually has some real ability and both topics get hammered because of Drew and Ol'Sean so who knows. It just seems like she's trying....a bit too much for it to be natural....you get me?

Electric Chi Magnet, I have a good idea of who you are. I'm fairly certain that you wont actually tell what style of neikung you study and if that's so then I do know who you are. Eric Yudelove has a book out called "Taoist Yoga and Sexual Energy". That book has really good power developing exercises in it. The methods are all from Chia, even if modified slightly from Yudelove, so the fact remains that at the very least, Chia has some authentic methods.

I may not have a good grasp on jing power so bare with me here. It's my understanding that jing projection works whether you resist or not.

It's amusing at how many times I've read posts that say " This guy couldnt do anything to me " or " He has no real power " etc etc etc. I'd like to see a video of someone locking up with Gary. I know he'd let you film it. I dont want some run of the mill person either, I want someone like say SFJane to go out there and film it. Someone who has actually said " His jedi power wouldnt work on me " but who has some cultivation experience as well. I guess I'm not understanding the talking smack aspect of things anymore. Dont talk it, do it.

Master Gary Clyman has been nothing but kind and very helpful to me in every conversation I've ever had with him. He's really ramped up energetically but I think I would say that's he's just extremely passionate about his system, like on fire passionate. I would never ever describe him as being an asshole. Before saying anyone is fake you should either meet them in person first or at the very least try the system with diligence and determination. Fake is another word I would never use to describe him.

Maybe you could ask that close friend who's like family when he's going to release his neigong book?

People who go on and on and on and on about something that they have a fierce belief in usually do get put down because of their constant promoting. Christians for example get the same thing. SM is obviously giving you another option and letting you know that some of JAJ's students have converted because of whatever reasons. This may help you in deciding whether or not you want to pursue a certain course. I have certain things that I believe in and I'm fairly certain that in a few short months you will see me on my soapbox every week trying to get my experiences out there so that they may benefit others. I know that KAP and SFQ get thrown around alot here but if they actually help people then what's the problem? This thread has and is still about JAJ so I dont personally see the problem. Blessings BTW, I dont know SM at all but I'm 100% positive that there are people on this forum who can actually attest to Santi being a great pratictioner with some real juice. Santiago is the real deal and if you actually want some juice, then you'd do well to train with him. I'm sure the same goes for ShaktiMama too. Back to the thread at hand. I've heard JAJ is the real deal too. Never met him, dont care too but I'd like to get his book that was supposed to come out the last quad of 09....any news on that book by chance?

Just a bit curious here. How many people do you know that can sit in full lotus for more than 4 hours and that actually do sit in full lotus everyday for 4+ hours?

Do you remember the Coke/Pepsi challenge? Everyone has a certain preference and that's cool. Personally I find the first "girl" more attractive of the 2 women posted but neither one is really my flavor. I'm in love with black women. As the saying goes " I like my women like I like my coffee, strong and black "
