If enlightenment means using a Mac then I'm screwed because I hate those things. Can you really imagine a modern day Buddha using the computer? Tv and computers are worthless, the internet is like 99% porn or something like that, so IMO Buddha wouldnt watch tv or spend time on the internet. Enlightenment, IMO, is the ultimate intelligence, the end all to end all I'm incapable of actually defining my belief and feeling on enlightenment. To say I'm on the same level as buddha or christ, is to say I'm enlightened.

Something stinks in here... I've read over some of your other posts and then I came onto this one...It's full of bull. Youre really clear on your other posts about FU but when someone asks you a question that requires some actual knowledge on the subject you turn tail and right up a HUGE LOAD OF BS. I dont know you but it's ok to say you dont know something, for future references.

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Mending bones with a touch would be a bit difficult to explain under placebo. Also, my mother had stage 3 breast cancer and did one single doctor recommend qigong???NO, it was chemo and radiation, what about qigong for maintenance?? NO, not one single doctor EVER reco mmended any alternative therapy or maintenance. OBVIOUSLY IT TAKES MORE THAN STUDIES IN CHINA OR WHERE HAVE YOU. Under the rules of placebo, if you walked up to a broken bone in the ER and just touched it and it was set and healed then you could not explain it with placebo. Especially if you did it multiple times without mentioning what you were doing to the patient. Ya Mu, Here is your post where I got my knowledge on your abilities. I stated my opinion of the application of qi projection "from someone who knows how to do it". So I assume you are talking about fire starting. Do you believe that, say a person who has not been trained in the higher level aspects of energetics has a natural talent of starting fires, that he would be the person to listen to about the application of fire starting simply because he could do it? What I am saying here is that phenomena done with manipulation of qi has no place in the daily life of a person trained in higher level energetics. There should be a NEED or it is a waste. In the above statement you make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that you can project qi but cannot start fires. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
What if I can clearly fly, like I'm Hancock and the world has seen me fly around, etc, then am I obligated to submit myself to testing? What if I dont want to be tested? What if I can cure all illness by touch or better yet by thought alone? Am I obligated? What if I'm a true immortal, or I've obtained Christ like or Buddha powers? Would you demand that Jesus or Buddha be subjected to scientific testing? -
You're not really sure about the hormones huh?

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
For any scientist or doctor in the western world to take your "test" serious then youre going to have to instantly mend a broken bone or fill any fracture or better yet, do pyrogenesis or walk on water, seeing as how I dont KNOW what you can or cant do I can only assume that you CAN do both of those. You cannot explain an instantly mended bone away with placebo. Doing that would be PROOF. Better yet, to make yourself more valid, you should line up 4 or 5 people with broken limbs and mend them all and then youre PROOF that qigong works. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Is that really scientific proof? If the patients knew they were practicing qigong then it could very well be argued that it's a placebo effect. I know qigong works, I'm not saying it doesnt. Here's a little story on placebo. Back when I was 17 years old I purchased a bottle of Pinnacle Andropoppers which are supposed to increase your testostorone. Long story short in one week I added 20lbs onto my benchpress but I expected as much. Years later I find out that the poppers werent effective at all and made extraordinary claims as to their content. If anyone here lifts weights I know you can appreciate a 20lb jump in one week. If I'm not mistaken there's a video floating around where four qigong doctors place hands on a patient with a tumor and they make it disappear in a matter of seconds. You can view the tumor via ultrasound, as it is happening. Even with that kind of documentation western doctors arent going to prescribe qigong anytime soon. Now this is where I get conflicted with my own arguements because if someone has pretty good success rate for curing cancer and busting out tumors then I believe they should step forward and spread their knowledge and they should get tested. -
Stick a fork in an electrical outlet...fastest way to enlightenment. On a serious note, I highly doubt that a TRUELY ENLIGHTENED individual would use a computer. Enlightenment, IMO is physical, emotional, spiritual and mental. Realization is not enlightenment

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
Qi treatments are usually ruled a placebo effect, unfortunately. You mean you wouldnt be helping science and religion both if you were to prove under controlled conditions that you can do "whatever" it is you CAN do? Showing, in the opinion of some, wouldnt be (as you call it) phenomena, it would be evidence of an advancement in biophysics as we know it. Did I misread a post of yours or are you FOR testing the masters? How do you know that firestarting, walking on water, etc are just useless tricks? Do you have any idea of what goes on internally? Do you have any idea if the internal happenings are or are not good for the practitioner? No, you dont. I confused your post with another's in regards to testing. -
All videos will for one reason or another look doctored.

Question about spirituality and scientific testing

Of course not. Everyone wants some sort of proof no matter what system they practice or beliefs they may have. Even diehard bible belt christians who believe without seeing would like a sign. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
You made it clear, whether you meant to or not, what you could speak about in reference to personal ability in an earlier post. You can project qi and you do so when you treat people. One can easily conclude from your posts that you cannot walk on water, start fire, stop breathing for any lengthy amount of time, fly, obtain speeds faster than a speeding bullet, become stronger than a train or leap tall buildings in a single bound. LOL No offense was meant by my post. You say you can project qi like that in the video, which video are you speaking of? Also, since everyone here is interested in "proof" why dont you GO and do that dumbass Randi challenge hmmm? If you dont believe in said challenge why dont hook up with another bum and show him your amazing qi projection? I for one am completely against challenges or testing and what have you because of the reason behind the testing and the fact that the testee have their lives destroyed by the media and every single scientist that would be knocking on their door. -

Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
A master has no obligation to anyone to prove his abilities. It's an insult to ask the master to show you what he can do aswell. If you wanted to train under a 20 yr old Mike Tyson would you ask to step in the ring with him? You are unworthy to see any ability because you arent humble. -
Question about spirituality and scientific testing
h.uriahr replied to seekeroftruth's topic in General Discussion
He has a point. You yourself cannot do pyrogenesis, or walk on water, or anything of the sort so who are you to call them a waste? You have no idea what goes on internally when these things are done so all you can do is blindly say "it is a waste". -
What Bothers Me About Philosophical Daoism
h.uriahr replied to gossamer's topic in General Discussion
Daoists arent atheists. There's a different concept of god. I used to be a hard chargin christian but I got rid of alot of those beliefs when I started studying on my own. It is hard to rid yourself of the way you view god but give it time, if that's what you want. If by atheist you mean they dont believe in your god or one thats similar then sure, theyre atheists. -

Actually, the only way to know what the useages are would be to ask someone who can do it. -
