I want to make it clear again, I'm not saying that qigong cannot be dangerous. It most certainly can. It's just not everyday that people experience problems. Some people may go there whole life without any negative effects. Keeping it on a respectful level. Also, dont believe everything you read in that Mo Pai book of yours.

Has anyone tried the Mind Light Nei Gung System by Gary Clyman?

His video...should speak to you...It's completely up to you as to whether or not you spend the money on it but I think you probably have the sense not to. Dont spend the money on David either. -

Have you used his mind light neigong? If you have I think the question is do you personally think that it's worth 7500? I just know 7500 is alot to spit out. I'm not sure if his mind light is worth a crap or not but it seems that noone has actually used that particular product of his. If all he can do is deliver powerful strikes I wouldnt suggest buying the system. Real neigong, as with anything else will help lay the path for enlightenment. It might not be overnight but as you progress certain things will become more clear to you. Neigong is a science, not a religion but you cant really feel the things you will feel without gaining more understanding you know? -

The lower dantien is a huge power center waiting for you to cultivate and feed it. Neigong isolates the lower dantien in that you train specifically with the lower dantien. You train for quite some time with just the lower dantien. I cant stress enough that the lower dantien if used correctly can open yourself up to so many things. Now for those that will argue against this, I'm not saying this is the only way to train. Neigong however, uses the lower dantien. It can harvest such a remarkable amount of power. -
People in the Mo Pai tradition get ill? People in the Mo Pai lineage dont die frequently. All I'm going to say on the Mo Pai is that it's simple and it works. Nothing about the Mo Pai kills people. I'm not going to bother arguing the Mo Pai anymore. There are way more health issues that could cause a problem, not ncessarily his qigong practice. I forgot about that recent headline in the news about the deadly dangerous qigong practice. Please leave the talking to the big boys ok? I've never SAID IT WONT HURT YOU!! IT'S NOT DEADLY OR DANGEROUS ENOUGH TO CALL IT DANGEROUS. SKYDIVING COULD BE SAID TO BE DANGEROUS BUT IT'S NOT! With that said, I respect your opinion. I'm having some tea, care for some?

any non-too-mystical way of learning about dragons
h.uriahr replied to froggie's topic in General Discussion
When you find a common accurance from one continent to the next then things start to come together in a whole new light. Dragons are a continent to continent thing, as is shaking, shamanism, and many more. I'm not sure how to really learn about dragons other than reading about tales but it's odd that you can find tales of them on completely seperate continents -

The best technique for survival is knowledge. Become aware of local plant life that is edible and how to make snares and traps, what insects are ok to eat and which are tastier. How to start fire, when to start fire and how to cover your tracks. Self defense is nice to know aswell as how to shoot a firearm or learning the bow and arrow or sling for that matter. The US has many a strange happenings. The REAL ID for starters is odd and how about the duracell commercial with the kidfinder on it. You can check out the verichip too, talk about a frightening website. They are serious too. Although, it doesnt help to dwell on the negatives. Remember, there's always a way. -
Maybe the disasters can be taken down a notch or two by making sure that each of us is aware of our actions and how we treat the earth. Recycling, going green so to speak. As for any military action...with high resolve I believe everyone can be prepared.

Scotty, you are completely right. When dealing with circulation it can become dangerous, especially if it goes into your head and remains trapped. Now this is directed towards salaam, I'm not sure why this has completely skipped my mind but if you are sitting full or half lotus then you could be , which is common, giving yourself poor circulation, and maybe getting up too fast is causing some damage. I'm not sure about whether or not it could be from a blockage becoming clear or not. Maybe someone in your area would be kind enough to check you out, or you could see an acupuncturist aswell. Scotty, the hatchet is buried. Do you practice qigong?
-
When you are doing your meditation are you sitting by chance? If so how are you sitting? I think it's like gun control sorta. You cant argue the dangers of firearms with an NRA member. Cool graphic by the way! Oh..and...I'm pro gun!!!
-
Master Scotty but I oh so beg to differ. I'm not igorant to the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of forms of qigong. I'm really starting to enjoy how much people hype this up on the danger scale. Is it because you (you meaning everyone) want to make yourself feel more elite because you practice a dangerous, very deadly practice? I'm serious. I guess I really am just beating a dead horse here. But this horse is TRUTH AND JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY!! If I appear a little off it must be from the qigong I used to practice but dont now so it mustve stuck with me mentally. Head slams into desk sheesh

Doubt as highly as you wish. Matter of fact, let's just all doubt together You can sit there and doubt all day long about the fact that I often times meditate for 5-8 hours a day but hey, who am I? I am. Simple as that. There really is no satisfactory way to prove or disprove that I do or do not know Mo Pai Neigong. -

Well atleast youre not in denial abou things lol I think what the problem is, is that you have people who dont believe in those powers, people who do believe in those powers, and then people who believe in those powers and think they know how to achieve those powers when they really dont. It's basically about committment. There was a saying, all roads lead to Rome. They still do. You can pick silk reeling qigong, which I hear is fantastic, and develop power, but it takes dedication. The only thing that I'd spend 7500 on is a passport, a ticket, and a guide. David doesnt seem credible but then again who does? The only problem I hear about really is that he knows ALL these masters but what's the point? An MMA fighter cant master one certain art if all he does is train in everything imaginable. He may or may not actually know these masters but for 7500 it's an expensive gamble. -

Longmen Pai isnt at all like Mo Pai Neigong. You must have some money saved up lol. Zheng Zong Da Dao...I'm sure you've been to a carlot before and I'm sure you've met those salesmen that everyone hates because they wont leave you alone and they pressure you and when you buy the car you get home and you feel used and broke. You will get varying opinions about David Verdesi. When you buy a 200k dollar car and you get beat by an 80k Z06 Corvette you suddenly come up with all kinds of reasons as to why your car, even though you lost, is still better than that Corvette. When you spend all that money, you get defensive and no matter what anyone says, it was worth it when deep down you know you got hosed. John Chang is very real. The Mo Pai is a very simple system and it works. There are of course, other methods of that neigong system, aka thunderpath, and some work way better. With that said, what it comes down to is how you specifically want to train. Neigong and qigong, in the end, can produce similar results but neigong, hands down will produce way more power because of the isolation of the dantien. There will be alot of people hating on me in here because I'm such a dick but I do know neigong, and I know it well. -
As the saying goes " I'm a fish out of water" There was no reason to continue responding on this post, the advice was given. I said in the beginning that he should ground himself by bear hugging a tree or sitting on the ground. I also said a visit to the physician or psychiatrist might help aswell. Comparing martial art injuries to qigong injuries doesnt work because statistically there are way more martial art injuries. Let's try skydiving. For 99.999% of the people that go skydiving, that same percentage will come home afterwards but for the .0001%, they dont come home. I've never one time said that it's impossible to get ill or suffer from any practice, I've simply said that the odds of that happening are extremely extremely rare, and that's because they are rare. Another thing to note is that just because someone feels ill because of training doesnt meant they should stop, on the contrary, they should continue with deligence because it's a blockage. I'm not sure where you were going with the whole not responding to salaam because, unless youre talking about another topic I've been chattin along this whole time. There's always been a control. Over everything, including these practices. I was told once, by this 'master' that I could practice this certain beginning technique at home but I couldnt teach anyone to do it because I wasnt a master and could mess them up and blah blah horseshit horseshit. Now without going into detail, this technique, no matter how it was taught and especially the way he taught it, wasnt dangerous AT ALL. It's a great way to scare students into giving the master more and more money so that you wont go anywhere else or attempt to teach it but youll also help reel in other students. Again, I've never ever, not one time said that you couldnt get hurt by these practices, I've said that it's VERY< VERY< RARE!!

Everyone obviously listen to Scotty here. He is THE QIGONG AUTHORITY!!! I've read every book this man has to offer and have been attending his seminars for YEARS!! He has corrected many imbalances in me, mostly mentally because obviously I have a few screw loose. I've personally seen him turn water into wine, walk on water, and PERSONALLY I HAVE SEEN HIM KICK CHUCK NORRIS" ASS!!!!!

Why is payment necessary for learning the Tao?
h.uriahr replied to Li Jiong's topic in General Discussion
Payment isnt necessary for learning the tao. Go to the library and grab a book on it. If youre talking about learning a "cool" practice then it'll probably cost initial out of pocket, ie plane tickets, passport, etc. The master may accept you for free and you just do chores or he may make you pay, it's entirely up to you as to whether or not it's worth it. Simple as that. -
Sometimes when people open their mouths, so to speak, all that comes out is noise. I dont know how many times this has to beat into people's heads. The odds of qigong hurting you are about the same odds that I'm really clark kent and I can fly and shoot lasers from my eyes and pick up trains. The whole thing about "Oh it's sooooooo dangerous, beware!!!" is that it keeps the student teacher relationship strong and healthy. I'd place real money on the fact that maybe 2-3 people on this forum have actually experienced negative effects from qigong, even then they arent negative, just because you feel pain or dizziness, etc, it's 99% of the time a blockage and you are just undoing the blockage.

You'll get alot of opinions about Sifu Chang. Any basic qigong system should do all of what you want. The video you posted is a system of neigong called the Mo Pai System and some will tell you it's closed, some will tell you it's sort of open and some dont believe he's real. -
I'd try finding a qigong master, tai chi master or someone to help instruct you on yoga practices or any meditation for that matter. Pick up the book Healing Promise of Qi, very easy instruction and I believe it will help with your PTSD. TRY SHAKING TOO!! I almost forgot about that, you'll feel way way way better too. Type in Shaking in the search box on this site. Bradford Keeney has a cd and book too. I dont have the slightest idea as to how to actually combat him though, other than getting a .45 and a shovel.

By the way, I'm not saying he isnt good, what I'm saying is, he's not so good that he can charge that much money and be that much of dick. SFQ is really phenomenal. What exactly are you trying to achieve when you imagine training in neigong? -

I agree with him. It's not that I'm scared of different ideas and opinions, it's that this isnt a conspiracy theory forum. I'm not so bothered that I'm leaving the forum but I share the aggrevation. I also understand 'If you dont like it dont look at it' but come on. It's always been the same from the beginning of modern society, "THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING"!!! Is vacuum sealed food and canned goods and a couple of vitamin packs really going to save you from nuclear fallout or what if youre in the direct blast? Are your 'Superhuman' chi powers going to save you? I can answer that just as easily as you. The global economy is what people are focusing on now which is great, take a tad heat off us in the US but in terms of a bad economy??? Come on, people complain about not working when the national unemployment rate is lower than it has been in years, IN YEARS! So, with that said, we are all up the creek without a paddle. We can all get scared about this and about that but christ. What are you going to do personally if the army does kick down your door? I guarantee youre not going to summon the powers from your magical dantiens and start kicking their ass because even if you take out one, you cant dodge the bullets from the one behind him or probably to your side by now. It just reminds me of the whole dbz thing. Lets practice shooting balls from our hands while our ultra cool and stylish hair bleaches instantaneously and I get this kick ass magic aura too!! -
