Why is payment necessary for learning the Tao?

Jah Nigga...is that a merit? -
Just keep in mind your objective. Building up and storing chi or circulating chi?

TCM treats each person differently, same goes with the abilities. A generalized test may or may not work for everyone which leads to a whole lot of problems. Ego is the enemy in this post. Sounds like you just want to go out there and rid the world of all the 'fakes', all in the name of ego. Right objective wrong reason

Sitting meditation outside of course.

Abilities are byproducts of your training. If you train correctly they are unavoidable. Being able to clear the mind of thoughts and emotions is an ability. The ability to go days, weeks, months without food and water is an ability. There are many abilities and many people seem to hate them instead of embracing them. I would love to meet the guy who meditates just to have power and is an Ahole. Abilities are nothing more than progress and enhancement. Why people look down upon them is beyond me.

This would fall into the "What are you looking for" category. Are you looking to circulate the energy or build it up? Sounds great for circulation.

To catagorized everyone in a particular age group or any group is a stereotype. Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. I wasnt speaking to anyone in particular so to speak but I've noticed some comments on other posts from a few members and you can clearly tell that they havent reached maturity. Have some tea and maybe a cake or pastry aswell. It's still hot -

If you wish to teach for a living and support your family then all is well. I have a loving wife and child to attend to so I can see how charging can apply, for certain things anyway. Just out of curiousity how many members are right around the young age of 20ish? In this modern day 20ish is still very immature and childish. My point, why speak on anything when you have no real experience with it? -
The MMA guy in this video is a horrible fighter aswell. I would however put any amature mma guy against any internal so called master

It's the darkside of the force. It comes about by cultivating hatred, greed, envy or any other negative emotion. jk. Seeing as how forces of darkness would be the Yin to the Yang or forces of light then sure I guess you could have evil forces out there.

Anyone heard of this guy or has anyone tried his Kundalini cd?

If you are physically and mentally drained by any exercise then stop the exercising and change to something new but if not, carry on.

Unless the bun itself is a completely engineered an not at all normal then this story is probably fake just because bread gets mold. The meat should spoil and rot as well. Best bet, lay it down for a dog to sniff, animals have instinct.

Any kind of video or audio helps but no it's not needed. It acts as a guide, you still have the path, follow it yourself, youll be fine. If you do find audio, snag it.

There is no verse in the Old Testament nor the New Testament that objects to any kind of self healing or meditation. Christians often lable the unknown as demonically influenced. A great example is all the document burnings of the Mayans and the witch trials. She shouldve asked him for a verse, it would have ended there. Saying self healing is demonic is saying that our bodies are demonic because regardless of intent your body pumps out antibodies to combat sickness.

Hi guys. I'm in the Sacramento area and stumbled upon a qigong instructor. His name is Master YeYoung and was wondering if you guys could give me some insight as to whether he appears legit. sactaichi.com

The assumption is based on the stereoptype. More often than not it's them being pissed because you go against the "rules". I would be in agreement with number 2, 3, and 5. I believe that with the average person, a fast progression of "powers", for lack of a better word, would in fact feed the ego and then they forget to cultivate the other things.

We are screwed either way.

Of course. People are stuck on myths. The myth that any meditation practice takes years or months before you see any result is exactly that, a myth. You progress as fast or as slow as you want to progress, you just need to open yourself up to it. The reason for the slow road? I have no idea. Maybe it's the if it's not broke dont fix it attitude. It's funny how people get all bent and pissed when someone says that there is a fast method or that you advance as quickly as you want to. Very nice

When I originally made this post I had only trained a few times with YeYoung and wanted to know if anyone on the forum knew of him. That is how I met Hundun. Upon meeting Hundun he did a remarkable chi transmission. Seeing is believing as they say but FEELING, feeling is to KNOW. As far as books go, The Healing Promise of Qi is the best book you could ever buy and YES YOU COULD USE ONLY THAT BOOK. I'm taking it that you want an "authentic Chinese Qigong Master" and that's fine if that makes you train but uh...yeah.. I'd hit up Hundun. The worst that will happen is that you meet him and you drink some tea and leave and not train with him, no biggie. I can guarantee that you will be completely AMAZED by the first time you meet him however. I'm not arguing that YeYoung isnt authentic and has power, what I am arguing right now is effectiveness. YeYoung gives you a very, very small amount of transmission while training, Hundun however will transmit to you while your sitting down, drinking tea and watching an amazingly graceful form of qigong. If you've never sampled then you cannot say for certain that you are going in the right direction. No fastlane? You are sorely mistaken. There are many roads that lead to the top. Some are faster, some are slower, in the end its completely up to you and how open you are. If you arent aware of the natural ability within you, not GIVEN to you then your progress will be hindered. Anyway, chew on that for abit

I too have studied with YeYoung and no offense is meant by this but studying by yourself is absolutely fine. The masters of old had to do trial and error. Hundun is on this site too and he's in sacramento aswell and I can pretty much guarantee that you will progress faster with him than YeYoung, just because of the way YeYoung teaches. Dont get me wrong, I like YeYoung but he is very expensive for just a little bit whereas Hundun will throw you in the fast lane, with guidance of course.

Just out of curiousity how do you know Master YeYoung?

I think he offered the bet to appear legite. He "knew" that his system would work. He seriously thought that. He made a big deal about gettin hit because it's just like Xerxes in 300, he thought he was invincible. Alot of martial artists appear out of shape compared to MMA fighters, because MMA fighters train to fight for sport and living and martial artists tend to slack on physical training like running and weights etc. Chi is limitless. I believe that there are people out there that can knock you out without touching you, etc. The reason, or theory that he can KO his students with no touch is because your chi becomes synchronized with your masters chi, so in otherwords, he can knock you out because your chi recognizes and is open to his. IMO

This whole "the ocean is rising" thing is getting pretty drawn out and is like beating a dead horse as they say. "We threw the match on the gasoline" a long time ago. I'm going to make a prediction and say that everyone on this forum will be dead long before the "end time".
