  1. The greatest teacher is oneself.

yes you are right one need not look outward for everything is already inside of him. now some people might disagree with me but yeah.
  2. well i wish you luck on your journey. i know i cant say anything that will change your mind but just listen for a bit. Basicaly all that i can think to say is that my heart goes out to you with compassion. and that you remind me of myself when i was youngerer. i still am young in the grand scheme of things.
  3. Wanted: Mentor & Enlightenment

mind if i ask littlepie what have you studied interms of spiritual stuff and what practices do you do like taichi or do you only do meditation? like if you could list some books you have read and such. Also you say you have aspergers why do you say thta this is a bad thing. In my oppinion (i also have it) it is a good thing. I have written some posts about it just search the forum for autism. Basicaly i believe that a person with autism can achive faster certain things that does not meen over night but it might meen shaving a couple of years off what an NT might take. just remeber good ketchup from a glass bottle always is slow to come out.
  4. was wondering what some of the different wedding practices around the world were, cause all i ever have heard of the the christan one where the bride and groom walk down the isle. Anyone have any exautic ones like jumping or a broom handle?

  6. Practicing out in the open

  7. 19 day and counting

What do you think is threatening kung fu?
  8. well um first and formost i look at autism not as a disease or a disorder but a spiritual thing in progress. I believe it has made me more compassionate and such. I believe that due to my autism i believe that i am further ahead of an average person on the path because i vibrate on a higher frequency. (not trying to be egotistcal or anything cant quite place the word). It is due to autism that i have a naque for healing. If you want i sugest you read autism and the god connection. a good read on the spiritual side of things with autism. It is a little heavy on the chirstian stuff but if you can get past that it is a good read.
  9. http://www.throwing.it/2008/11/shaolin-needle.html Turns out no chi is needed only a speed of 150 km/h and a straight hit.

  11. Lao Tzu, Buddha, & Confucius

huh i have never heard of the story variant that says they were tasting tea i had allways thought they were tasting vinegar.
  12. I dont really know what to write but i wana hit a couple of things. First things first to me it seems like thetaobums has changed in that some of the older memebers no longer post here and some members dont have compassion for fellow netizens. Do you guys feel this way? If you do feel the same way what can we do to have more compassion? I guess i will leave it there and start another thread for my other topic
  13. I did not ask for cures and such i asked if anyone else has it. I am not interested in a cure i am interested in finding others like me who share the same interests like spirituality.
  14. Its going good. The reason i started this thread was cause of some of the comments i have gotten in the past did not seem the nicest, like for instance some members think i am obsesed with siddhis and such and when i posted a thread about master zhou i got a responce back that i felt was not with compassion.
  15. Cold blast through my legs while meditating

  21. So i did a quick google and it lead me to chakra diets. I was wondering if you could say for example eat the food of the first chakra on a monday then tuesday eat the food that corespondes to the second chakra and so forth? or should one eat all the food in one day that corespondes to all the chakras? http://healing.about.com/od/spiritualdiets/a/chakrafoods.htm
  22. Ok first i would like to point out that i am not some guy wanting super powers like some of you think. I just have alot of curiosity. anyways i dont want any posts on this thread belittling me or my style ect. So um i was watching a video the old documentary on john chang but this one had a voice over done by someone for a documentry for like the history channel. They said that john chang could control his biokinetic energy or the electrical curent that flows thru us enough to give some one a shock is this true? or is he useing chi?
  23. So yeah i love to play go by myself just placing stones down and creating my own universe as such. But I was wondering where does this leave chess? I know that one person here once posted a story about a person hwo played go and became enlightended by it. anything like that in the chess side of things? Also if you had to connect a religion to chess. what would it be?
  24. go is to taoism as chess is to?

Sun tzu art of war go v chess. What about the other chesses still played today? xiangqi shogi makruk and janggi, if you had to assign a religion to them what would it be? I am interested in hearing what you guys have to say for xiangqi cause it came from the same place as go china.
