So I am looking for a sacred text that has not been altered by man in the scence that man has removed some part of it or added some part so translation does not count. Anyone know of others besides the koran and by my definition the tao te ching? Now suposibly the koran has not been changed since it was first written down but some scholars debate on this. Cause like with the bible i know that sections of it were edited by man and such.

ok um not that i dont believe you but you sure the first buddhist coucel was 2 or 3 weeks after his death i heard it was like 3 months and plus ananda did he really recite the whole suttas and not just most of one section of suttas? But where should a lay person start with the suttas?

What i have come to understand is we dont really know what the original buddha taught cause there is no record of stuff. Pali canon was writen after the buddha died and they could have changed stuff.

yes but what i am getting at is do we really know what the buddha taught excluding after his death and such.

So I recently found a perfect practice for elimiating material goods in youe life that are more or less impulse buys and such. Just take the item into your heart and offer it up to the buddhas or bodhisatvas or tao or god or whatever. So you get the benifit of it and so do they and yet you still have the money in your pocket and not have another nicnack impulse buy.

well i am in the process of a quest if you will i am trying to find a religion wiht out three things Aliens A text thatwas not changed Gods The reason behind these three things is cause an aliens with high texhnolgy could be mistaken for god. If humankind has edited a sacred text it is not the rok of its originator. And lastly gods well more a god who says you must do this like in the chirstian faith and such. I have done my fair share of reading and such on comparative religions.

lets agree to disagree cause i can see i wont change your way o0f thinking and you wont change mine. But in my thought process you dont need transmision. But i will give you that books only get you so far you have to look within once you get to a certtain point. I am one of the people that does not believe you need some external person telling you what you need to do i think all you need is already in you you just need to call it out.

Yes i am for real i dont see why they would put something in a book that anyone could pick up and do if it were dangerous. I will have to pick up heart drops of dharmakaya cause i am very much interested in the rainbow body.

Ok I have to put in my two cents in this. If it is written in a book that is redily avaliable to the public then it is safe. If you wana practice tummo pick up the bliss of inner fire. I meen they are not going to put out a book on say rainbow body to my knoelwdge cause it is dangerous.

So I have given it alot of thought and i have desided i would like to have a week stay as a monk at the famous shaolin temple. Um i guess I am asking for some help from you guys in the form of information. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to contact the shaolin temple like a phone number?
