"Limitless" the movie, now on Netflix Instantwatch
rodgerj replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
That movie was based on the real Nootropics. And for most people they really do work too. Here is a list of the most common compounds; Piracetam Oxiracetam Aniracetam Pramiracetam The most common one - Piracetam, has practically no toxicity. Tons of info out there for anyone interested. -

Ok 'block' might not be the best choice of word but I think what Sifu Gary is saying (correct me if I'm wrong) is that it seals Yang from escaping into the earth as it has a tendency to run out of the legs. As a result the Yang then tends to stay higher in the body. The condition that is created by sitting in this posture also facilitates a better gathering of Yin. The posture as you know has many benefits besides all that and to make an important point, what happens energetically in that posture is also decided by the mediation/breathing/mudra your doing. In that posture your taint is as close to the earth and all five gates are pointing to heaven so of course Yang would naturally stay high. Everything is mind so whatever gets your focus because as the great Qui-Gon Jinn said.. "Your focus determines your reality". FL is great but I agree with WBBM that it's not 'needed' or essential. The most simple is the most profound.

Hmmm, I'm supposedly ENFJ.

Seems I'm late on this one. If I could ask though I'd ask; 1) Why do you think Pak John was so unhappy about your books 2) Why do you think Hollywood refused the proposal to make a movie?

Mass? what for? You have hit a wall? what is your diet? post in full. This is a strange place to ask this kind of question! What are your goals? do you practice any martial arts?

Burning Palm - Nomad Fighting System (clips)
rodgerj replied to Warrior Body Buddha Mind's topic in General Discussion
The Burning Palm healing energy is very strong/positive from my exp. I can project a very strong force and BP training has made it much stronger. I'm also a student of a few others too. When I project BP healing energy (what I have cultivated so far) the recipient can feel extreme heat. I have also tried to project ging with very strong effect. I've been able to move people, increase heart rate, heal and more. It's a beautiful journey of self discovery. I would happily send someone healing for free. And I do not need free xxx, I get plenty of that. But whats wrong with a little more? lol. My friendly comment to Witch was a reminder of what happened when she tried to play with Max (who is also my Sifu and friend) without permission. Shang-ch'ing is not a lineage you want to play around with! lol, I went to meet Mak Jo Si (Mak Tin Si) who had an issue with Max too, shortly after we met he called me a Demon and asked his students to stay away lol. You see, what one projects is reflected back more then ten fold. He just saw himself . Back to BP! It's an amazing system and Sifu Gary is a great guy IMO. In addition to the healing stuff my martial ability has increased a lot. I'm way more relaxed and when I strike you can hear the force audibly. My speed has increased and I can issue some pretty good power . Peeps don't wanna spar any more. It's also a spiritual system.. Martial, Healing, Spiritual, self discovery. Works with all the elemental forces. Glad to be a part of it. -

Witch didn't you learn from your experience with Max? I hope you are just toying with my Sifu (Gary) here? If you want a challenge direct your magick at me and see if you can take my sexual energy. On another note... where can I get a copy of that sex tips documentary you were in? -
Probably the worst option I have seen is this; Thankfully its to expensive to make right now or we would be in deep s@#t!

Pie, Do you have the level one Mo Pai training? I would assume you do. If you do, how long have you had it? I understand the desire to get the complete system but perhaps a lesson can be learned in realizing what you may already have and eating dinner before you get desert . Have you achieved level one? There is a specific 'event' that takes place. It's not really that hard IMO and is so basic. Level 2 is also very basic stuff. The method is only a fraction of what is needed to get results. In order to achieve anything it is method + gong. If you focus your will single pointed at just that method, you will progress. I believe you are doing this with the LMP training? The Mo Pai level one needs one hour minimum a day. This is nothing. The search for 'freedom' can be like trying to pay off a ton of debt. Perhaps that is why we are here? Who knows eh? You might have several credit cards and other loans. Trying to pay them all off at once is just not possible. Some people are fortunate enough to come into money (or meet a high level master willing to help you advance). Even then they may squander it! If we really want to move forward in a situation like that we should focus on one 'card' at a time. Double the payments and let everything else wait. I think you can achieve the first few levels without dropping everything and going all retreat. There is also something to be said about living in society and managing to do this.

Interesting Sifu! I know there is a meditaion for health that is the same as FP Monk Holding a Pearl (except it's seated) and can be done using ginger also. GMDW says to ingest the ginger for 108 days while doing the med! Good Yang builder!

DT fills, energy gets denser and eventually rises up opening up energy centers in the body. In a Kundalini fashion pops out the crown and connects you to the source. Whats wrong with just practicing for good health and the ability to heal others anyway? Your question is a bit like asking... what good is medicine? To me it is more then medical qi gong though. Gift of the Tao movements raise the vibration of the energy body. Cultivation is a path of self discovery to the true nature of yourself and the great Tao!

I'm a student of Michael's and have been for some time. I've also trained under many teachers all over the world... Europe/Asia/North America. Masters such as Chan Sau Chung etc. I'm still a noob but I will say that Stillness movement is incredible. Because I have practiced and have many complete systems initially I was unsure if my strong reaction to the energy was because of the 'mix'. After more then a year I can say with confidence that Stillness movement builds immense energy and with dedicated practice you can fill the DT very quickly. Quicker then Mo Pai! lol... yes I can say that because I'm beyond level one MP . Say no more! lol. In reality if people read his book or see the DVD and don't like it then your loss. I have big respect/love for Micheal and his system.

Just wanted to chime in and say I'm a student of Sifu Gary's. I think in terms of Sifus skill the videos speak for themselves. As far as how the course works I would say very well so far. Everything is explained and demonstrated well. If you are unsure about your form/posture etc you can easily hook up on skype or make a video for him to review. Is it worth the money? yes every penny. As far as the results I've had I can tell you that the BP energy is very tangibly felt in the body. Especially the extremities. Really, there are different types of energy developed (healing, ging etc) and it is the combination of those that create the unique BP energy. This is not an Iron Palm course. It is a complete system for healing, spiritual development and martial arts. It's not easy either. Expect to spend a few hours a day every day if you want to train it properly. Personally I feel that it's good to train all the energies to be well rounded. The martial ging really grounds the healing etc. Another great aspect of BP is it also develops the elemental forces such as earth, fire, water etc. If your serious about training and want a complete system check it out!

This morning I cried when I found out about this. As a farther myself I just can't begin to imagine the pain I really can't. I felt it would be good to fast so I will this Tuesday. For Santiago and his family, for others that have suffered this and to raise awareness. Please fast with me if you like. So sorry for your loss Santi.

A great read! it was great to meet you guys, do keep in contact. I hope I can meet you again one day. -
Dear friends, I have recently separated from my wife whom I still love. We have four children, a nice house we home-school our kids and apart from arguments and fights everything was great. It's not the first time we have separated, but I think it's the last for sure. She wants a divorce. I have been thinking the last few day about what I'm going to do. We will loose the house for sure eventually, there is no equity in it. We also have lots of debt that I will not be able to pay when the child support kicks in. So it seems, it's going to go bad to worse. This week I have had to take off work (because my wife is with a friend). I have had the kids full time and obviously it's been hard work. I have a new found respect for my wife and all women. Of course I've had them on my own before but perhaps the circumstances made me actually realize what she did for my kids every day. I do several sets of chins every day and over 200 push-ups every other. I do internal work too of course. But after a week of full time four kids my back hurts!! What dawned on me today is although it's hard, I love it. I love spending all day looking after my kids. I love working hard to make them happy. For the first time in my life I think I have found a job that I love! Right now I work in IT and I hate it. I have always stuck it out just to provide for the family. All it has provided is years of stress. So I'm thinking I want to be the primary caregiver and be a stay at home dad! I have a feeling my wife will be ok with this. She has been doing it for years so if I did it would give her some freedom. I love her, but I have to set her free. It really hurts. I know that we will still loose everything, become bankrupt and I will end up in a crap hole in a bad part of town, but if I'm with my kids and we are together it doesn't matter. Anyway... This is a big decision and it could be the wrong one. In my heart it feels right. I wondered if anyone here could do an I-Ching reading for me. I would not base my decision entirely on that but some guidance from the Tao may be helpful!
