Ah true, although in that case the sexism would be a byproduct of nepotism - which also discriminated against males too. IOW, a non-related male would not be taught the family trade, either. Cuz back then, those were the equivalent of secret society, industrial or military secrets. It was a great honor, not an entitlement, for anyone to be taught. So, if women were seen as more easily emotionally-swayed and prone to gossiping, they would be considered more likely to crack under pressure and leak such secrets against their oaths. Which is in fact what happened in her case. Anyhow, the whole story sounds a bit melodramatic. So, who knows what really happened..? While I don't doubt this version is possible, I am not going to assume it an unembellished historical fact, either.

Why do you assume that story illustrates sexism? Sounds like her spouse got skurred because she had the balls to retaliate against a wealthy (& likely influential) family in town. I don't think her gender played into it, though. Thus, it appears more a problem of cowardice (or lack of effective people skills) than sexism. Or arguably feeling that violently drawing a sword on harassers is overkill (someone recently linked an article here from a Baguazhang guy who said that Taijiquan players may pretend to be peaceful, but inside are always just waiting to use and test their power against others). Now, if Chen Ziaoniu had been a guy, do you think the outcome had been any different? Sorry, but I just don't see how gender was the relevant fulcrum in this story, unless one is Freudian projecting?

You may want to pose this question to JJ Semple (via April). He knows some stuff about the sexual side effects of raising your kundalini. In fact, your symptoms would seem to confirm his theories. And Vajrasattva would know some stuff about this too..

You were probably opening your pineal/3rd eye..

So, who else here besides Scotty has had their C1 Atlas vertebra realigned? And what were your impressions and results?
-
Here's another article on it: So, how much is the treatment, and do you think it lived up to its hype and was worth it? Also, do you think there's any way you could just realign it naturally on your own?

I love how you titled all this, "Eating Bananas Helps Too." And when do we get to see an actual vid of you performing a remote O?

Great, informative reply... Thanks. So, is reverse RP breathing from the back of the head? And I'd be curious about how Red Dragon warps reality? If you have any experiences you might like to share?

No, I'm simply asking what your practice is, because I honestly don't know. And your explanations seem more like riddles than explanations. A formless form that you can't find if you look for it??? Well, pardon me if that doesn't quite answer my questions...lol. If it is that unfindable, than how did you find it? Or what actual practice are you doing to find it, without looking? How can you find it without looking for it? That's my question.
-
Can you describe your simplified practice now, in nuts & bolts terms?
-
My friend told me a Korean master basically told her the same thing. He had initially done a practice similar to Kunlun/Red Phoenix and experienced some powerful effects, but ultimately decided he was utilizing his energy better by switching to a more "internalized" practice moving energy up and down his spine. However, I think his initial "spontaneous" practice still served its purpose and him well - got him in touch with his energy and probably did some heavy clearing.

Sounds like qing gong is a lost art now. In my experience, most of the personal stories I've heard were also of the masters' masters (IOW, 2-3 generations ago). I guess at that pre-modern time, these masters were still trained starting from childhood. But, with the advent of industrialization, that seems to be where it usually ended. Has anyone seen any modern demos of this skill? Has it survived anywhere? I've heard John Chang can do it, but aside from him, anyone else? Heck, I'd even settle for a nice photo or vid.

1) Weighted plyometrics has its limits and you will hit your ceiling pretty quick with this crude method.2) I think tightrope-walking could add another few inches...but not feet. 3) I think to develop any real qing-gong skill beyond just great athleticism...you will have to do some form of qigong. Unfortunately, I haven't found what type of qigong is needed for this yet. Steve f - do you know? 4) I've heard quite a few personal stories of real qing-gong jumps (usually of a Chinese 60ish-yo's now-deceased qigong master parent)...but have never seen any actual photos or vids.

Same question here? And feel free to PM me if you prefer. I'm all ears. Thanks.

Don't forget about the rare solar eclipse on July 22 (passing mostly over Asia): -
Hmm, I wonder if that could be a symptom of your GDB starting to flicker on? Keep a digital camera ready by your side in case you start to dematerialize, dude! And please get some vid of it if ya do!

Review Stillness Movement Worshop June 20 and 21, 2009
gendao replied to NorthWide's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I did. I will write a full review later...but have been on an insane schedule of lengthy daily cultivation practice and working overtime lately...so it may be a while before I can find the free time to. In the meantime, I'll just say that 'twas a great workshop and Michael is a really cool chap! Reminds me of Santiago - spiritually-accomplished but very down-to-earth and the opposite of anal. And most importantly, is in it with his heart, not for the money... So, he's definitely "making a difference" in this world. -

Interesting stuff about aliens... Anyhow, as far as "illusion" vs "reality," I think the only difference is that one was created and the other always was/is. So, an illusion can still be pretty damn powerful and virtuuaalllyyy real...although ultimately can be transcended, of course. We are all just actors method-acting our roles in a grand play, folks. And yea, this goes for Reptilians too! So, do enjoy the drama, but at the end remember it's all just fun & games and enjoy your popcorn!
-
Maybe we need a poll to see what % of Kunlun'rs have met reptilians, and whether they were good, bad, neutral or "indeterminate" experiences for them? So far, I have not encountered any, that I know of... So, I am somewhat curious now what % we're talking about here that have? For me, the problem was more health issues, although I believe it was just detoxing and am probably better off now than before... Also, I could probably never attribute it to Kunlun for sure, as that probably can't be proven. But, I guess we could also start a poll to see what types of problems in general people had? Whether they be entities, health issues, life mishaps, etc. And whether they were just various forms of "detoxing reactions" or "tests" that ultimately cleared up and left people better off in the end?
-
Just curious, where is all this bull from? Source or linky, please?

Well, there may be a trade-off here. Would you prefer the bandage ripped off hard but "quick-quickly"...or delicately but much slower? Get things out hard and fast and just over with...or in a gentler manner, but more drawn-out? A lot of this really just comes down to personal preference, I don't think either pace is really right or wrong. But it might be right to inform people what they might be in for upfront, so they know what to expect and can prepare themselves more accordingly. So, a younger person with more time might try the more gradual ascent...while someone older with "less time" might try the more vertical path up the summit...
