Taoists Sexual Ability start to be recognised in social circles
gendao replied to Pietro's topic in General Discussion
Excellent post! Are there any particular channels you use to allow the sexual energy to diffuse? Like the MCO? Or does it really matter? -
Does Taoism presuppose a political viewpoint?
gendao replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Absolutely, the Dao De Jing specifically addresses government. There are several whole chapters devoted to it (anyone here ever actually read?)! In short, I think he says that ideally, an enlightened populace is self-governing. And so a stupified populace needs to be enlightened, not more and more laws. In general, less government and governing in moderation to serve the people is advocated. -
Oh sorry, thanks for the clarification. Or I guess, ultimately, clarification that this whole subject (of "immortality") is very unclarified. I guess I shoulda just asked Master Wang himself at the webcast, damn!

Thanks for the honest and lengthy reply! Does, Da Zhen = Dacheng, though? And according to Ken, WLP is not an immortal. But according to David, Da Zhen is? By what measure and evidence? I've also never heard of: Hun Dun Wuji Tao, Ba Shen Chi Organ Nei Kung or Hun Tuin Da Ji Shen Tao from Taoist Master Ta Jen and his Taoist Master Tai Wei Not that I know of much... But just curious if anyone else has?

Healthy Americans Against Reforming Medicine
gendao replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
I'd be interested to know what agencies funded that spot? Problem with Socialism is that the health-conscious folks who live responsibly end up paying for those who don't, since the cost gets more or less evenly spread out. So, of course the unhealthy risk-takers all want Socialist health care - cuz they get a free ride off it. If I was a chain-smoker who ate fast food everyday, I'd want someone else to pay for my lifestyle risks, as well. I believe the only health care reform that gets supported by a majority of Americans is single-payer coverage. Where costs get determined in more proportion to risks and services. -
I kinda thought that while men typically lose jing through ejaculation...women may actually gain it by being ejaculated into? And do women also lose jing from orgasm, or do they sort of retain it since they "implode" more than "explode?" I believe for women, they typically lose jing more from menstruation (thus the practice of "slaying the red dragon" to stop that) and childbirth - than sex & orgasms. This would be because jing is one's personal lifeforce that gets imparted to one's hypothetical offspring during sex - and is associated with sperm & eggs. I'm sure Kathy Li here could answer these questions for you...

Cool. Does anyone know Bodri's age and have a current photo of him, btw?

That's similar to a technique I came up with a few weeks ago...

True, but I think that was only in sticky-hand DRILLS, not actual full-on sparring. We all know there's a difference there. I think WC is great for understanding angles and developing sensitivity, but assumes you already know how to move around and close the gap. If not, then you are only getting focus on one piece of the puzzle.

WoYyLzp9R9k Yea, it's just another "Independence Day" clone and excuse for a lotta over-the-top explosions, freeway pile-ups and dramatic White House addresses.. I think people might be disappointed in real life when the entire planet doesn't crumble apart like a house of cards in 2012, though...

Not really, too much fire burns out the kidneys... A verifiable epidemic over here in the West. Better do some more tree qigong, Ken! -
I had an interesting thought yesterday that sort of puts the whole herbi/carnivore diet into a larger perspective. Foods lower on the food chain are generally less dense with less bioaccumulated toxins. The lowest edible lifeforms basically being plants and fungi. Then perhaps bugs. Then herbivorous animal life. Then predatory animal life.

There is no need for grown adults to drink milk, or any milk-looking/tasting milk substitute. If you simply want protein and calcium, or whatever, there's plenty of other sources. And there is no reason why they even have to remotely look or taste like what they're "replacing." Just because you're used to drinking a white liquid, does not mean your body actually needs a white liquid or anything resembling a white liquid to "replace" it.

Very interesting... But if you're gonna throw your life away, why not just carpe diem and live with no concern for tomorrow. That attitude will probably kill you eventually, if not lead you to the life of your dreams. Either way, I guess you'd get what you wanted.

God in 0 dimensions = Tao (void)God in 1 dimension (pure information) = "God" as we normally conceive of it (uni-verse-all consciousness/mind) God in 2 dimensions (space-time) = (Bi)directionality (yang = going away, yin = coming towards)

Interesting, I had heard it was due more to a certain student acting as a liaison and charging other students rather exorbitant fees for his services. Despite the fact that DJ always taught for free... Anyhow, so if DJ & WLP haven't achieved immortality, then what chance in hell do any of us have of achieving it? And how exactly do they define immortality, anyways? Development of a yang "Rainbow" light body? Reunion with the Dao? And just to address an old rumor, can WLP walk through walls? PS - Just curious.. I believe level 3 is where you cut the dantian cords? But haven't fused it at the huiyin yet? I'm wondering what signs or abilities you've gotten from attaining this level, and if you've experienced any health problems at all yet from it?

Are there even any worthy benefits to being a citizen versus just a permanent resident in China? If not, then I don't see why any foreigner would even want to give up his citizenship for that, given the choice. When they can probably strike a much better deal by retaining their current citizenship while being a permanent resident of China? I think Kathy is more than qualified to teach beginners and on up to a certain point. After which, there are no teachers certified to take you further in LMP other than WLP himself. At that point, you might "have" to go see him for further instruction. But, there is no "need" to do that beforehand (although it can certainly be done). Baguakid - I have no problem with anyone complaining about high prices, either. In fact, legitimate complaints are what usually lead to change. I'm simply providing a larger background and cultural context for their pricing. Fact is, Western countries have been strongly bullying and colonizing China since the 1800s with their opium trafficking there (and 100 million deaths). You cannot put a price on that. And even today, 95% of US press about China is negative. So, all this has not left much trust or a great taste in their mouth... Hell, considering the US's over-politicized playa-hating coverage of their recent Olympics, I wouldn't blame some if they didn't want to teach any Americans at all. But despite all that, WLP is actually very open to teaching Westerners. We are still all one in the eyes of God & Tao! enouch - Good correction! Point being though, without that loophole, he probably would never had made it or stayed here due to our strict, anti-Chinese legislation. -

True, but until perhaps only rarely & very recently, most people have been trying to ESCAPE Red China, not become an actual CITIZEN of it. So, no one has really complained, lol. Most longterm ex-pats just settle for "permanent resident" status. Also, while they technically don't honor dual citizenship, they don't really check, either. That's the other thing about Chinese law. Sure, they retain the power to exercise it when desired, but generally their enforcement is pretty lax. There's just too many people and not enough bureacrats. Anyhow, all of this pales in comparison to historical US policy towards ethnic Chinese. The Chinese Exclusion Act severely banned, restricted and relinquished rights for Chinese immigrants for a stunning 61 years from 1882-1943. Although heavy nationalist caps were still left in place: This pittance only gradually relaxed over the following decades. Interestingly, Bruce Lee was fortunate to have arrived in the US in 1959. Had he tried just 7 years before that, he probably would have been barred outright. So, I think as the Chinese economy continues to grow amidst a sinking global ship, more foreigners will seek to ex-pat to China and their immigration laws will continue to relax as well. Just like the US did over the course of a century. BTW, if people really wanted to learn LMP affordably, I don't know why they didn't just attend Kathy Li's workshop. I mean, that was about as affordable as it gets. And, I don't think there is any reason to study with the "top master" upfront, anyways. That's like trying to learn calculus before you can even do basic math. -
If you have a walnut-sized boil full of pus on your ass and want it lanced, personally I would get that done at a clinic. Otherwise, you could risk further infection from a home job there. In the meantime though, I would keep applying tea tree oil or something to it. However, I would get to a clinic ASAP, with that size.

And the neocon media is certainly manipulating images to make it look that way: Basically, they got caught taking a crowd shot at a pro-Ahmadinejad rally: And pretending they were supporters at a pro-Mousavi rally: I don't know exactly what is going on in this election, but I automatically take any typical, 1-sided Western "journalism" (aka propaganda) about the Mid East with a heavy shaker of salt...

Well, I meant in comparison with overseas Chinese like myself (huayi or huaqiao) who speak perfect English as our first language (but piss-poor Chinese ). We would still get hired less and for less than a White German, for example, who may not even speak good English. Ironically, this bias is actually due to the fact that China is very free market capitalist. So, if some parents want spend more money just to have a White face teaching their kid, instead of necessarily the best one - then so be it. It's their money, they can spend it however they want. -

Interesting, well I don't know when those laws were in effect, but currently non-ethnic Chinese foreigners can apply for Chinese citizenship by naturalization under Article 7 here. As far as Chinese nationals living abroad still being charged Chinese national fees - that would still be nationalism, but not racism. Since an ethnic non-national Chinese living abroad would still get the foreigner rate. BTW, for those keeping score, there are also numerous financial perks to being a White "laowai" in China. I believe White models get paid like 2X-4X what the locals get (and you don't actually have to be a model to get chosen as one - as I knew a few). Also, White English teachers get hired/paid a lot more than ethnic Chinese English teachers - since they "look the part" more. This preferential treatment is actually more truly racist, but also just an unrestricted result of free market capitalism.
