What are some of these ways to protect yourself? -
What's the big-deal with this so Called "Wang Liping?"

Actually, Taoist Yoga is a "good" reference book for LMP - as far as what is widely available. I think seandenty has made this point before. -
Energetic Healing- What is it? How is it done?

Yea, that's what I really respect about qigong. It's been empirically refined down to its fundamental nuts & bolts, minus much of the flowery, prosaic, vague generalities... I don't think most other energetic practices focus so much on hardcore qi cultivation with hours upon hours of controlled meditative breathwork. It's kind of like sure, everybody knows how to run...but an Olympic sprinter training daily under a top track coach is gonna to run a helluva lot better than you - given far more regular effort and technical know-how. Most "Michelin men" with a lot of qi didn't just get it quickly with some fluffy New Age techniques. Most of them had to develop it with hardcore practice the 'ol skool qigong way.. -
Yea, I read that too - so there was likely someone else involved. However, I believe she may have been paid to do so, by him. According to his ex-wives, he had a history of such risky sex games: So, I don't suspect foul play, but risky play gone wrong... With Brandon Lee in 1985 (also RIP):

Chi in Nature Saving You from Swine Flu with Taoism FU (Talisman)**MOD.

I think the swine flu was overblown, but here's another "karmic" prescription (with the obligatory sales pitch for some "magic" water at the end): -

"Definitely" on the right track...yet are concerned about being collared like a pet? Anyhow, has anyone heard of the Yuen Method by Dr. Kam Yuen? Kinda New-Agey, but has an interesting demo. Looks like he combines muscle-testing with energetics. P2l7HEzVHzQ However, I'm curious how he does his apparent on-the-spot diagnosis? 0AUMRGNbC34 However, these stage demos could also be typical of cooperative patients who tend to comply when put on the spot.. So, has anyone had any firsthand experience with him or his method? -

Are there any traditional Taoist techniques for finding a girlfriend?

Yea, I don't remember what you wrote about Listening...but I just had the idea the other day about why it's so important. I was inspired by this article: Silence is Another Name For God It got me thinking why the Divine is so quiet and we must meditate to "hear" it? Then, I realized that maybe it isn't so quiet, it could just be outside our normal range of "hearing," like a dog whistle. So, it may only sound "quiet" to us, but in itself could actually be extraordinarily loud (especially to those who can hear it). So, another good meditation technique would be to really LISTEN (past the fringes of your perceptual range...), and attempt to expand your range of "hearing." This "active reception" not only helps to clear your mind more, but would also increase your ability to expand your frequency range and tune into higher frequencies... ...maybe? -
Is "Now" really a misnomer? Because "now" is a concept that still exists within the space-time dimension... Whereas, do they really mean being in the "0 dimension" with no space or time? Where there is no past, "now" present or future...because there is no time (linearly-fractionated sequential perception) at all?

Master Duan Zhi-Lian Wuji, strong 90 year old! (Video)
gendao replied to DaoChild's topic in General Discussion
I totally agree that a lot of this stuff doesn't crossover much - like martial vs. medical qigong. Anyhow, what makes Wang Juemin or his technique so much more powerful than the rest? Just curious... BTW, it's also interesting how Master Duan is a Catholic Christian. There were a few other high-level qigong/Taijiquan masters who I discovered were also "suprisingly" Christians. What's up with that? -
Ni hao, Kathy Li is the only woman authorized by Master Wang Liping to teach Longmen Pai's "female alchemy" to Western women. In fact, she just held a workshop in Atlanta (although she did not focus on female alchemy there due to time and other constraints).

Balancing the Left and Right Sides of the Body
gendao replied to CarsonZi's topic in General Discussion
Here's a great little video on demasculinized boys rediscovering our manhood. The "Gender Reckoning" quiz near the end is really good. His examples are sort of petty, compared to the more archetypical definitions of masculine & feminine, like by David "Deida"...but his basic exercise is still a good one to help you balance your perceptions. I think if someone is really balanced, they will have a good balance of both male & female friends. And thing is, a lot of women keep telling me how they actually crave the archetypical masculine in men, that has now unfortunately been guilt-tripped out of modernized men by feminism. And without it, sadly neither the man nor woman can realize their full potentials together. -
Yes, would you mind organizing and formatting your methods, experiences and results in that lengthy thread in a nice, comprehensible, bullet-pointed outline? Seriously, it would be very valuable. And so did it take you 10 years, primarily using Mantak's methods? Having done that, did you discover any ways to streamline and shorten the process? Also, what exactly does CCO signify - opened MCO, awakened kundalini/chong mai, immortality, enlightenment, what?

I just heard (not verified) that he was found hanging with one end of the cord wrapped around his neck and the other around his wang. So, my suspicion now is that maybe he had a BDSM session with a local hooker, he accidentally choked or had a heart attack and she panicked, bolted out posthaste and left him hanging, so to speak...

Here's an interesting explanation of Zen that seems to fit here: I also stumbled upon this similar technique of holding your focus at the point before thoughts spontaneously arise just last week:
-
Supposedly, the seed of Zen (from "Chan'an-na" from "Dhyana") Buddhism was planted by Mahakasyapa in India, sprouted and grew in China with the influence of Taoism and reached final flowering in Japan.

Well, who rules ALL our government, corporations AND media?

Interesting, do you have sources for these linguistic claims?

Are there any traditional Taoist techniques for finding a girlfriend?
gendao replied to 11:33's topic in General Discussion
I always like taking advice from people who have actually used it successfully themselves: If pickup skills help you feel more confident in yourself then right on. Because really confidence is the only thing keeping you back most likely. Now, my method should work if you want ONE girl. It is nature's way to match up compatible people. If you want many girls, I don't know how to do that. Being natural and confident still probably would work, but having many girls was never the natural thing for me so I can't say. So far, I think the keys to manifestation are:1) Holography/Feng Shui: As inside, so outside... Change yourself within, and it will manifest externally as well. 2) Being: "You don't attract what you want, you attract what you are." - Wayne Dyer 3) Having, Not Wanting: Wanting and grasping only imply that you lack what you want. Which will then be what you manifest - lacking what you want, lol. Instead, feel the vibration of having - with just a matter of time "catching up" to that. 4) Receiving: Be open to receiving it. We often have difficulty receiving things that we don't even realize. Can you properly receive a compliment? If not, then how will you receive anything else good in life? -
I second that. Must be one of the top things I miss about China...I think eating is their national past time there. As far as mass control, China is still using crude, unsophisticated, heavy-handed methods - old relics of dynastic rule and Marxist authoritarianism. The US is far more advanced here, relying upon Huxleyian information overload and corporate-sponsored meme warfare to dumb down the audience. What good is freedom when people are too comfortably numb to care about it? Exactly the same effect that yummy street food has on the Chinese...
